CH-C-OH CH3-CH2-CH2'^ och dess inte giftiga alkali- och jordalkalimetallsalter, kanne-t e c k n a t därav, att man i en enda fas tillsätter en n-propanol-lösning av natr ium-n-propylat tili ett reaktionsmedium som bildats av en cyanättikssyraester med den allmänna formeln CN h2c^ ncoor i vilken formel R betecknar en alkylradikal med 1...4 kolatomer, och n-propylbromid eller -jodid, varvid alkyler ingsreaktionen äger rum under äterföringsdestillation, den erhällna räa estern förtvälas med en 10...20 % lösning av natrium- eller kaiiumhydroxid eventuellt i närvaro av ett kvaternärt ammoniumsalt, det sälunda erhällna saltet surgöres med en stark syra för att ge den räa di-n-propylcyanättikssyr an, som dekarboxyleras genom att upphetta mellan 140 och 190 °C, för att bilda di-n-propyl-acetonitri1, och den sälunda erhällna di-n-propyl-acetonitrilen hydrolyseras med en 75...80 % vatten-lösning av svavelsyra vid 80... 140 ®C, för att ge rä di-n-propyl-acetamid, som hydrolyseras med en 75...80 % vattenlösning av svavelsyra vid 40...80 °C i närvaro av natriumnitrit för att bilda di-n-propylättikssyra, som om sä önskas bringas att reagera med en aikaiimetallhydroxid eller en jordalkalimetalloxid, för att erheillä motsvarande sait.
2. Förfarande enligt patentkravet 1, kännetecknat därav, att natrium-n-propylatet tillsättes i en temperatur om 45...55 °C hos reaktionsblandningen. I!
