PROCEDIMIENTO PARA LA OBTENCION DE COMPUESTOS CETONICOS DE FORMULA (I) EN LA QUE R Y R REPRESENTAN ALQUILO INFERIOR; Y PY REPRESENTA 4- O 3-PIRIDINILO SIN SUSTITUIR O SUSTITUIDO CON 1 O 2 ALQUILOS INFERIORES. COMPRENDE LA REACCION DE UNA PIRIMIDIL-METIL ALQUILO INFERIOR CETONA DE FORMULA (II) EN LA QUE R Y PY TIENEN LOS MISMOS SIGNIFICADOS QUE EN LA FORMULA (I) CON EL ORTOFORMIATO DE TRI(ALQUILO INFERIOR) ANHIDRIDO ACETICO Y ACIDO ACETICO. LA REACCION SE LLEVA A CABO A TEMPERATURA AMBIENTE CON UN EXCESO DE ORTOFORMIATO 13-17 MOLES POR MOL DE CETONA Y 20-30 MOLES DE ANHIDRIDO ACETICO POR MOL DE CETONA. ESTOS COMPUESTOS TIENEN APLICACIONES COMO INTERMEDIOS EN LA SINTESIS DE NICOTINAMIZIDAS CON ACTIVIDAD CARDIOTONICA.
