CONSISTE EN LA REACCION DE <007> , 3-O-ISOPROPILEN-PIRIDOXAL CON UN COMPUESTO DE FORMULA X<024>A<024>R, EN LA QUE X ES BROMO O YODO; Y A Y R TIENEN EL MISMO SIGNIFICADO QUE EN LA FORMULA (I). LA REACCION SE LLEVA A CABO CALENTANDO A REFLUJO LOS REACTIVOS EN PRESENCIA DE MAGNESIO EN ETER DIETILICO. A CONTINUACION SE ACIDIFICA CON ACIDO CLORHIDRICO PARA ROMPER EL ANILLO DE ISOPROPILIDENO Y FAVORECER LA CICLISACION 3,4.
