Abstract
Procedimiento para amortiguar las oscilaciones de presión en un colector de escape de un motor y el colector correspondiente, cuyo motor es por ejemplo sobrealimentado, con efecto de eyección de los gases a la entrada de los mismos en el colector, caracterizado dicho procedimiento porque consiste en la apertura de la válvula de escape hasta la proximidad del punto muerto inferior del pistón, en conservar al máximo la energía potencial residual de los gases del cilindro en el curso de su paso por la boca de empalme, hacia el final del tiempo de expansión, reduciendo por tanto el incremento de entropía de los mismos estrangulando la corriente de los gases en la proximidad máxima o en la proximidad inmediata de la salida del cilindro, aumentando después el efecto de eyección acelerando el paso de dichos gases por el colector por transformación de la energía de presión en energía de velocidad comunicada a los gases presentes en el colector, reduciendo la sección uniforme de paso por el colectora un valor sensiblemente inferior al del calibre del cilindro, con el fin de obtener la mayor velocidad posible de paso de los gases por recuperación de energía potencial normalmente perdida de cada bocanada de gas en un momento que hace respectivamente máximo el trabajo de expansión proporcionado al pistón y mínimo el trabajo de impulsión proporcionado por el pistón.
