Abstract

1.Procedimiento para depositar pro reacción química una película metálica sobre un articulo constituido por circonio o aleación de circonio, que incluye las operaciones que consiste en: (a) activar el artículo en una solución acuosa de activación que se compone esencialmente de aproximadamente 10 a 20 gramos por litro de biflururo de amonio y aproximadamente 0,75 a 2 gramos por litro de acido sulfúrico, estabilizandose la solución mediante inmersión de circonio decapado en dicha solución durante 10 minutos aproximadamente, ( b) eliminar cualquier película débilmente adherida que se haya formada en el artículo durante la fase de activación, y © poner en contacto el articulo con una solución de revestimiento capaz de depositarse por reacción en el artículo activado y que contiene el metal que ha de ser depositado sobre el mismo, después de un contacto suficiente con el artículo.
