Abstract
Un proceso para la reducción de la cohesividad y/o la adhesividad de la escoria en un sistema de combustión disminuyendo así el nivel de ensuciamiento, que comprende: quemar el carbón formador de escoria con un alto contenido de hierro superior al 15 % basado en el peso de la ceniza y expresado como Fe2O3 y/o un contenido de calcio superior al 5 % basado en el peso de la ceniza y expresado como CaO, con un exceso global de oxígeno; movilizar los gases de combustión resultantes a través del equipo de intercambio de calor en condiciones que provocan el enfriamiento de la escoria formada por la combustión del combustible; introducir, antes del contacto con dicho equipo de intercambio de calor en los gases de combustión calientes, desde inicialmente 1,36 hasta 2,7 kg (3 a 6 libras) por tonelada de carbón quemado de trihidróxido de aluminio como una suspensión acuosa y desde 0,45 hasta 0,9 kg (1 a 2 libras) por tonelada de carbón quemado de hidróxido de magnesio como una suspensión acuosa, con tamaños de gota y concentraciones eficaces para disminuir la velocidad de ensuciamiento por escoria, reducir la tasa de introducción del trihidróxido de aluminio y del hidróxido de magnesio hasta del 10 al 50 % de los valores iniciales para el mantenimiento del sistema de combustión limpio y funcionando eficientemente, en el que se usa la dinámica de fluidos computacional para determinar las velocidades de flujo iniciales y seleccionar las velocidades de introducción del reactivo, el (los) sitio(s) de introducción del reactivo, las concentraciones del reactivo, el tamaño de gota del reactivo y/o la dinámica del reactivo.
