Abstract
Un aparato y un método para conectar entubado médico o cualquierotro tipo de conductos de circuito fluidico (por ejemplo, cánulas) a un dispositivo de asistencia ventricular ("VAD") o cualquierotro dispositivo de bombeo utilizado para bombear sangre durantesoporte circulatorio cardiaco para cirugía vascular; el aparato yel método evitan que las burbujas de aire entren a un sistema desoporte circulatorio cardiaco cuando se conectan cánulas a un VAD las posteriormente pudieran entrar al torrente sanguíneo de unpaciente durante cirugía cardiaca, y también proporcionan la purga de cualesquiera burbujas de aire que pudieran haber entrado alsistema de soporte circulatorio cardiaco durante una conexión decánulas-VAD.
