Abstract
Un implante intraocular inyectable que comprende: - Una parte óptica (200); y - Una parte de sujeción (202) flexible, elástica, que enmarca coaxialmente dicha parte óptica, comprendiendo dicha parte de sujeción una parte helicoidal (222) que se extiende hacia el exterior incluyendo al menos una sección helicoidal (234), caracterizada porque cada una de esas al menos una sección helicoidal (234) comprende: - Un parte espiral de sujeción (236); - Una parte espiral residual (238); y - Una parte frágil (240) que conecta dicha parte espiral de sujeción (236) y dicha parte espiral residual (238).
Description
Implante intraocular que incluye sujeciones
comprimibles.
La presente invención se relaciona, de forma
general, con implantes oculares y, más en particular, con implantes
intraoculares.

La patente estadounidense 6.596.026 divulga
"un implante de lente intraocular que incluye un cuerpo
telescópico que define una vía óptica para el paso de la luz a
través suyo, una lente positiva y una lente negativa adosadas al
cuerpo telescópico y una estructura de fijación unida al cuerpo
telescópico para fijar el implante en un ojo, en la cual las lentes
confinan una con la otra, y se establece una distancia entre la
lente positiva y la negativa determinada por el confinamiento de
las lentes entre sí".
La patente estadounidense 2002/143395 divulga
"un sistema lenticular para su implantación en un ojo humano que
hace posible restablecer la adaptación. El sistema lenticular
comprende una lente anterior y otra posterior, de las cuales una
tiene poder lenticular positivo y otra negativo. Se consigue la
adaptación al variar la distancia entre las dos lentes. Este
sistema lenticular puede ser fabricado de tal forma que pequeños
cambios posicionales puedan generar grandes cambios en su poder
óptico. También permite la selección de la relación entre el volumen
de cambio en el poder óptico y el volumen de modificación de la
distancia entre las lentes, independientemente del poder óptico del
sistema lenticular en su conjunto".
La patente estadounidense 4.816.030 divulga un
implante intraocular inyectable que comprende:
- -
- Una parte óptica.
- -
- Una parte de sujeción flexible, elástica, que enmarca coaxialmente dicha parte óptica, comprendiendo dicha parte de sujeción una parte helicoidal que se extiende hacia el exterior incluyendo al menos una sección helicoidal.
De acuerdo con la presente invención, tal
implante se caracteriza porque cada una de esas al menos una
sección helicoidal comprende:
- -
- Un parte espiral de sujeción;
- -
- Una parte espiral residual; y una parte frágil que conecta dicha parte espiral de sujeción y dicha parte espiral residual.
Preferiblemente, la parte óptica y la parte de
sujeción están dispuestas para un mutuo e instantáneo encaje.
Preferentemente, la parte óptica incluye un
telescopio. Adicional o alternativamente, la parte de sujeción está
fabricada de plástico biocompatible.
La presente invención será mejor comprendida y
apreciada a la vista de la siguiente descripción detallada, tomada
en relación con los dibujos, en los cuales:
Las Figuras 1A y 1B son ilustraciones pictóricas
simplificadas en las que se ve, respectivamente, desarmado y
ensamblado, un implante intraocular inyectable construido y
operativo de acuerdo con una realización preferida de la presente
invención;
Las Figuras 1C y 1D son ilustraciones pictóricas
simplificadas que muestran una visión lateral en la que se ve,
respectivamente, desarmado y ensamblado, el implante intraocular
inyectable de las Figuras 1A y 1B;
Las Figuras 2 y 3 son ilustraciones pictóricas y
seccionales, simplificadas, del implante intraocular inyectable de
las Figuras 1A a 1D colocado en una jeringuilla hipodérmica;
Las Figuras 4A, 4B, 4C y 4D son ilustraciones
pictóricas y seccionales de cuatro etapas de la inyección del
implante intraocular de las Figuras 1A-1D, adaptado
a la jeringuilla de las Figuras 2 y 3, en el ojo de un paciente.
Se hace referencia ahora a las Figuras 1A a 1D,
que ilustran un implante intraocular inyectable construido y
operativo de acuerdo con una realización preferente de la presente
invención. Se ve que el implante incluye, preferentemente, una
parte óptica (200) y una parte de sujeción (202) que está
preferentemente ajustada instantáneamente en la parte óptica
(200).
La parte óptica (200) puede ser cualquier parte
óptica adaptable y es preferentemente, pero no necesariamente, un
telescopio. Los implantes intraoculares preferidos están descritos
en los documentos de patente publicados citados infra:

5.814.103; 5.876.442; 5.928.283; 6.007.579; 6.066.171; 6.569.199 y
6.596.026 y solicitudes estadounidenses publicadas USSN 10/342.160

20040.117.011.
La parte óptica (200) puede incorporar una o más
de las realizaciones descritas en los documentos de patentes
mencionados supra en cualquier combinación aceptable y es
preferiblemente de forma cilíndrica con un extremo del mismo
adyacente, al que en adelante nos referiremos como el extremo
orientado al interior (210), una ranura periférica (212). La parte
óptica (202) está fabricada preferentemente a partir de una
material flexible y elástico, tal como plástico biocompatible, e
incluye una parte de ajuste óptica generalmente cilíndrica (220)
íntegramente compuesta de una parte helicoidal que se extiende al
exterior (222) y un extremo generalmente cilíndrico (224).
La parte de conexión óptica cilíndrica (220)
está construida preferentemente de un protuberancia periférica
dirigida al interior (228) adyacente a uno de sus extremos, al que
en adelante nos referiremos como el extremo orientado al interior
(230). La protuberancia (228) está dispuesta para un ajuste
instantáneo, normalmente no separable, con la ranura (212) de la
parte óptica (200), mientras que la parte de conexión óptica
cilíndrica (220) está en relación circundante coaxial con la parte
óptica (200) tal y como se muestra.
Es de hacer notar que la ranura periférica (212)
de la parte óptica (200) puede estar situada en cualquier
localización adecuada y la protuberancia periférica dirigida al
interior (228) de la parte de ajuste óptica cilíndrica (220) de la
parte de sujeción (202) puede estar ubicada en cualquier
localización adecuada para proporcionar un ajuste instantáneo,
normalmente no separable, de la parte óptica (200) y de la parte de
sujeción (202).
Como se ve en la Figura 1A, la parte helicoidal
que se extiende al exterior (222) incluye preferentemente al menos
una, aunque mejor dos o más partes helicoidales (234) unidas a un
extremo a una parte de ajuste óptica generalmente cilíndrica (220)
y, en su extremo opuesto, a una parte extrema generalmente
cilíndrica (224). Cada una de las, al menos, una parte helicoidal
(234) incluye preferentemente una parte espiral helicoidal (236)
conectada a una parte espiral residual (238) en una parte frágil
con muescas (240). Las partes frágiles con muescas (240) permiten
la separación de las zonas espirales de sujeción (236) de la parte
espiral residual (238), tal y como se describe infra con
referencia a la Figura 4B.
Como se ve además en las Figuras 1A, 1B y 1C,
previamente a la inyección del implante intraocular de las Figuras
1A-1D en un ojo, una parte extrema generalmente
cilíndrica (224) se coloca en una jeringa (250) y una parte
helicoidal exteriormente extendida (222) se enrolla, como se indica
con las flechas (252) (Fig. 1A), hasta una posición ajustadamente
enrollada dentro de la jeringa (250). Como se ve en la Figura 1D,
la parte de ajuste óptica cilíndrica (220) se coloca entonces en un
ajuste instantáneo con la parte óptica (200).
Hacemos referencia ahora a las Figuras 2 y 3,
que son ilustraciones parciales y pictóricas, simplificadas, del
implante intraocular inyectable de las Figuras 1A-1D
situadas en la jeringa (250). Se aprecia cómo la parte helicoidal
externamente extendida (222) de la parte de sujeción (202) está
enrollada sobre la parte óptica (200) y que el implante se consigue
con los extremos mirando al interior (210 y 230) dispuestos hacia
delante en el tubo (254) de una jeringa (250). Un pistón (256) de
jeringa (250) se conecta con la parte extrema generalmente
cilíndrica (224) de la parte de sujeción (202).
Hacemos referencia ahora a las Figuras 4A, 4B,
4C y 4D, que son ilustraciones parciales y pictóricas,
simplificadas, de cuatro fases de la inyección del implante
intraocular de las Figuras 1A-1D en la disposición
de la jeringa de las Figuras 2 y 3 en el ojo de un paciente.
La Figura 4A muestra una inserción inicial de la
extremidad del tubo (254) de la jeringa (250) en la cápsula
lenticular del ojo.
La Figura 4B muestra el implante siendo empujado
hacia fuera de la jeringa (250) en la cápsula lenticular. Como se
ve en la Figura 4B, la parte espiral de sujeción (236) se
desenrolla y extiende externamente en la cápsula lenticular sobre
la jeringa saliente (250). Siguiendo la salida de la parte frágil
con muescas (240) de la jeringa (250), se hace girar la jeringa
(250), como se muestra con la flecha (260), causando que la parte
frágil (240) se rompa y separando parte espiral de sujeción (236) y
parte espiral residual (238).
Como se ve en la Figura 4C, posteriormente a la
separación de parte espiral de sujeción (236) y parte espiral
residual (238), la parte espiral de sujeción (236) permanece en la
cápsula lenticular junto con la parte óptica (200), mientras que la
parte espiral residual permanece en la jeringa (250), que, en ese
momento, se aparta del ojo.
La Figura 4D muestra la orientación correcta del
implante, incluyendo, completamente desplegadas, la parte espiral de
sujeción (236) de la parte de sujeción (202) y la parte óptica
(200), en el interior de la cápsula lenticular.
Claims (4)
1. Un implante intraocular inyectable que
comprende:
- -
- Una parte óptica (200); y
- -
- Una parte de sujeción (202) flexible, elástica, que enmarca coaxialmente dicha parte óptica, comprendiendo dicha parte de sujeción una parte helicoidal (222) que se extiende hacia el exterior incluyendo al menos una sección helicoidal (234),
caracterizada porque cada una de esas al
menos una sección helicoidal (234) comprende:
- -
- Un parte espiral de sujeción (236);
- -
- Una parte espiral residual (238); y
- -
- Una parte frágil (240) que conecta dicha parte espiral de sujeción (236) y dicha parte espiral residual (238).
2. Un implante intraocular de acuerdo con la
reivindicación 1, donde dicha parte óptica (200) y dicha parte de
sujeción (202) están dispuestas para un mutuo e instantáneo
encaje.
3. Un implante intraocular de acuerdo con la
reivindicación 1, donde dicha parte óptica (200) comprende un
telescopio.
4. Un implante intraocular de acuerdo con la
reivindicación 1, donde dicha parte de sujeción (202) está formada
de plástico biocompatible.
