Abstract

Un método de moldear por inyección una preforma de plástico incluyendo: moldear por inyección un primer material termoplástico para formar una primera porción de preforma (340) que tiene una cristalinidad porcentual media de al menos aproximadamente 30%; y moldear por inyección un segundo material termoplástico para formar una segunda porción de preforma (350) que permanece sustancialmente amorfa.

Claims (53)

1. Un método de moldear por inyección una preforma de plástico incluyendo:
moldear por inyección un primer material termoplástico para formar una primera porción de preforma (340) que tiene una cristalinidad porcentual media de al menos aproximadamente 30%; y
moldear por inyección un segundo material termoplástico para formar una segunda porción de preforma (350) que permanece sustancialmente amorfa.
2. El método de la reivindicación 1, donde la primera porción es sustancialmente una porción de cuello (340) y la segunda porción es sustancialmente una porción de formación de cuerpo (350).
3. El método de la reivindicación 1, donde el segundo material tiene una velocidad de cristalización más baja en comparación con el material.
4. El método de la reivindicación 3, donde el primer material se selecciona a partir del grupo que consta de poliéster, poliéster con agentes nucleantes, polímeros de arilato, naftalato de polietileno (PEN), policarbonato, polipropileno, poliamida, polisulfona, acrilonitrilo estireno, y sus polímeros y mezclas.
5. El método de la reivindicación 4, donde el segundo material se selecciona a partir del grupo que consta de homopolímeros, copolímeros y mezclas de uno o varios de: tereftalato de polietileno (PET), naftalato de polietileno (PEN), y PET reciclado.
6. El método de la reivindicación 4 incluyendo además expandir la segunda porción (350) para formar un cuerpo sustancialmente transparente y orientado biaxialmente (380) de un envase (370).
7. Un método de hacer un artículo de plástico multicapa moldeado por inyección, incluyendo el método:
moldear en primer lugar una capa de manguito interior entre una primera cavidad de molde y núcleo, calentándose la primera cavidad de molde para obtener una superficie exterior de la capa de manguito interior a una temperatura elevada en un paso de moldeo siguiente;
transferir el núcleo y la capa de manguito a una segunda cavidad de molde y moldear en segundo lugar una capa exterior sobre la capa de manguito mientras la superficie exterior está a la temperatura elevada, teniendo la capa exterior un grosor mayor que el grosor de la capa de manguito interior, donde la temperatura elevada se selecciona para obtener adhesión por fusión entre el manguito interior y la capa exterior durante el segundo paso de moldeo.
8. El método de la reivindicación 7, donde:
el manguito interior incluye un polímero no reciclado; y
la capa exterior incluye un polímero reciclado.
9. El método de la reivindicación 8, donde:
el polímero no reciclado es un polímero de tereftalato de polietileno (PET) virgen incluyendo homopolímero, copolímero y mezclas de PET; y
el polímero reciclado es PET reciclado.
10. El método de la reivindicación 9, donde:
el manguito interior incluye hasta 20% en peso del artículo.
11. El método de la reivindicación 10, donde:
el manguito interior incluye del orden de 10% en peso del artículo.
12. El método de la reivindicación 9, donde:
el manguito interior es un manguito interior de longitud completa de PET no reciclado incluyendo hasta 20% en peso del artículo;
la capa exterior incluye al menos una capa de PET reciclado.
13. El método de la reivindicación 7, donde el manguito interior se selecciona a partir del grupo que consta de:
una porción de manguito de longitud completa;
una porción superior de manguito;
una porción de manguito superior de grosor completo; y
una porción de manguito incluyendo una superficie superior del artículo; y
el manguito interior incluye un polímero seleccionado a partir del grupo que consta de:
un polímero de Tg alta;
un polímero de naftalato de polietileno (PEN) incluyendo homopolímero, copolímero bajo y mezclas de PEN; y
un polímero cristalizable.
14. El método de la reivindicación 7, donde:
el artículo es una preforma para hacer un envase de bebida.
15. El método de la reivindicación 14, donde:
el artículo se expande para hacer un envase de bebida seleccionado a partir del grupo que consta de envases de bebidas carbónicas, llenables en caliente, rellenables, pasteurizables, y de barrera al oxígeno.
16. El método de la reivindicación 7, donde la adhesión por fusión entre el manguito interior y la capa exterior incluye uno o varios de unión por difusión y enredo de cadena.
17. El método de la reivindicación 7, donde el manguito forma una porción superior de manguito del artículo, y la capa exterior forma una porción inferior de cuerpo del artículo.
18. El método de la reivindicación 17, donde la porción superior de manguito se cristaliza en la primera cavidad de molde.
19. El método de la reivindicación 7, donde el primer paso de moldeo forma el manguito interior como:
una porción de manguito de longitud completa;
una porción superior de manguito;
una porción de manguito superior de grosor completo; y
una porción de manguito incluyendo una superficie superior del artículo.
20. El método de la reivindicación 7, donde la capa exterior incluye múltiples capas exteriores.
21. El método de la reivindicación 7, donde el artículo es una preforma.
22. El método de la reivindicación 21, donde el primer paso de moldeo forma una porción de acabado de cuello de la preforma.
23. El método de la reivindicación 22, donde la porción de acabado de cuello se moldea a partir de un polímero que cristaliza durante el primer paso de moldeo.
24. El método de la reivindicación 22, donde la porción de acabado de cuello se moldea a partir de un primer material polimérico que tiene una temperatura de transición vítrea más alta que un segundo material polimérico que forma la capa exterior.
25. El método de la reivindicación 7, donde el manguito cristaliza durante el primer paso de moldeo.
26. El método de la reivindicación 7, donde el manguito tiene un grosor de pared en un rango del orden de 0,5 a 1,5 mm.
27. El método de la reivindicación 26, donde la capa exterior tiene un grosor de pared en un rango del orden de 2,51-6,35 mm.
28. El método de la reivindicación 7, donde el manguito interior se hace de un primer material que tiene una primera temperatura de fusión, y la capa exterior incluye una segunda capa adyacente al manguito interior y hecha de un segundo material que tiene una segunda temperatura de fusión menor que la primera temperatura de fusión.
29. El método de la reivindicación 28, donde:
el manguito interior incluye un primer polímero de tereftalato de polietileno (PET); y
la capa exterior incluye un segundo polímero PET.
30. El método de la reivindicación 29, donde:
cada uno del polímero PET primero y segundo se seleccionan a partir del grupo que consta de homopolímero PET y copolímeros bajos.
31. El método de la reivindicación 30, donde:
el primer polímero PET tiene una viscosidad intrínseca de al menos 0,76.
32. El método de la reivindicación 31, donde:
el manguito interior tiene un grosor de pared en un rango de 0,5 a 1,5 mm; y
la capa exterior tiene un grosor de pared en el rango de 2,50 a 6,35 mm.
33. El método de la reivindicación 29, donde:
el artículo es una preforma para hacer un envase de bebida.
34. El método de la reivindicación 33, donde:
la preforma tiene una porción de cuerpo y el método incluye además expandir la porción de cuerpo de la preforma para formar un envase que tiene una porción de cuerpo sustancialmente transparente y orientada biaxialmente.
35. El método de la reivindicación 7, donde la primera cavidad de molde está a una primera temperatura de cavidad y la segunda cavidad de molde está a una segunda temperatura de cavidad menor que la primera temperatura de cavidad.
36. El método de la reivindicación 35, donde el núcleo está a una temperatura de núcleo que es inferior a la primera temperatura de cavidad.
37. El método de la reivindicación 7, donde el manguito interior se hace de un primer material que tiene una primera Tg, y la temperatura elevada está en un rango del orden de 5-20ºC por debajo de la primera Tg.
38. El método de la reivindicación 7, donde el manguito se moldea de un primer material seleccionado del grupo que consta de homopolímeros, copolímeros, y mezclas de naftalato de polietileno (PEN).
39. El método de la reivindicación 7, donde la capa exterior incluye al menos una capa moldeada a partir de un segundo material seleccionado del grupo que consta de tereftalato de polietileno (PET), PET reciclado, polietileno, polipropileno, poliacrilato, policarbonato, poliacrilonitrilo, nylon, y sus copolímeros y mezclas.
40. El método de la reivindicación 7, donde el artículo tiene una porción de pared lateral en la que el manguito interior tiene un primer grosor (t1) y la capa exterior tiene un segundo grosor (t2), y la relación de t2:t1 es mayor que el orden de 4:1.
41. El método de la reivindicación 7, donde el manguito interior tiene un primer grosor (t1) y la capa exterior tiene un segundo grosor (t2), y la relación de t2:t1 es del orden de 1,2:1 a 8:1.
42. El método de la reivindicación 7, donde el manguito interior está sustancialmente cristalizado y la capa exterior es sustancialmente amorfa.
43. El método de la reivindicación 7, donde el manguito interior se hace de un primer material y la capa exterior se hace de un segundo material, y el segundo material tiene una velocidad de cristalización más baja en comparación con el primer material.
44. El método de la reivindicación 7, donde se obtienen núcleos primero y segundo, y donde durante un primer ciclo el primer núcleo se coloca en la primera cavidad de molde para formar un primer manguito interior, y el segundo núcleo, sobre el que se ha colocado el segundo manguito interior, se coloca simultáneamente en la segunda cavidad de molde para moldear una segunda capa exterior sobre el segundo manguito interior.
45. El método de la reivindicación 7, donde el primer paso de moldeo incluye un período inicial sin
acción durante el que prosigue el segundo paso de moldeo para facilitar el segundo paso de moldeo con la superficie exterior de la capa de manguito a la temperatura elevada.
46. El método de la reivindicación 7, donde el manguito se moldea de un primer material seleccionado del grupo que consta de poliéster, poliéster con agentes nucleantes, acrilato, naftalato de polietileno (PEN), policarbonato, polipropileno, poliamida, polisulfona, acrilonitrilo estireno, y sus copolímeros y mezclas.
47. El método de la reivindicación 46, donde la capa exterior incluye un segundo material seleccionado del grupo que consta de homopolímeros, copolímeros, y mezclas de uno o varios de: tereftalato de polietileno (PET), naftalato de polietileno (PEN), y PET reciclado.
48. El método de la reivindicación 7, donde el artículo tiene una porción de cuerpo y el método incluye además expandir la porción de cuerpo del artículo para formar un artículo expandido que tiene una porción de cuerpo sustancialmente transparente y orientada biaxialmente.
49. El método de la reivindicación 7, donde el método incluye además enfriar el artículo por debajo de una primera temperatura de transición vítrea de un primer material que incluye la capa de manguito interior, volver a calentar el artículo por encima de la primera temperatura de transición vítrea, y expandir el artículo recalentado para formar un artículo expandido.
50. El método de la reivindicación 7, donde el artículo expandido tiene una porción de acabado de cuello superior de Tg alta o cristalizada y una porción de cuerpo sustancialmente transparente, orientada biaxialmente.
51. Un método de moldear un artículo de plástico multicapa en el que se moldea una primera capa sobre un núcleo en una primera cavidad de molde y la primera capa y el núcleo son transferidos a una segunda cavidad de molde donde se moldea una segunda capa, donde:
se elimina sustancialmente toda etapa de enfriamiento en el primer molde para obtener una superficie exterior de la primera capa a una temperatura elevada en el segundo molde que permite la adhesión por fusión entre la superficie exterior de la primera capa y la segunda capa.
52. El método de la reivindicación 51, donde se ha previsto un período inicial sin acción en el primer molde, antes de la etapa de llenado y presión.
53. El método de la reivindicación 51, donde hay, simultáneo con el moldeo de la primera capa sobre un núcleo en el primer molde, moldeo de una segunda capa sobre una primera capa moldeada previamente sobre un segundo núcleo en el segundo molde.
