Description
제1도는 본 발명에 따른 우수한 내열성 및 가스배리어성을 지닌 2축배향용기의 부분확대된 종단면도.
본 발명은 두 종류의 플라스틱이 패리즌(parison)을 형성하기 위해서 공동에 동심적으로 주입되는 병과 같은 2축배향용기에 관한 것으로, 패리즌은 3층의 형태로의 단면을 얻도록 신장-블로우 성형되며, 내열성과 가스배리어성이 우수하다.
2축배향용기에 사용되는 플라스틱은 가스배리어성은 지니나 내열성이 빈약한 폴리에틸렌 테레프탈레이트, 염화비닐, 염화비닐리덴 등의 플라스틱과 내열성은 지니나 가스배리어성이 빈약한 폴리카르보네이트, 폴리스티렌, 폴리프로필렌 등의 플라스틱을 포함한다.
탄산음료등용의 병에서는 압력저항 및 가스배리어성이 중요한 것으로 간주되나 공급되는 내용물을 위한 용기는 용기가 채워진후 또는 채워졌을 때 열이 요구될 경우에는 가스배리어성에 더하여 내열성을 지녀야 한다.
따라서, 내열성을 가지는 폴리카르보네이트와 같은 플라스틱은 가스배리어성이 빈약하므로 용기를 포장하는데 사용되기가 어렵다. 가스배리어성이 있고 열처리에 의해 충전온도를 지탱할 수 있는 폴리에틸렌 테레프탈레이트는 탄산음료용 용기로서 뿐만 아니라 열 및 충전이 요구되는 내용물의 포장용기로서도 폭넓게 사용된다.
그러나, 폴리에틸렌 테레프탈레이트의 가스배리어성 및 내열성에는 한계가 있기에 단지 플라스틱이 용기 재료로서 사용될 수 있다는 방법만 있을 뿐 가스배리어성 또는 내열성을 가진 플라스틱이 우수한 수행을 지닌 포장용기를 얻기 위해서는 합성물로 형성된다.
용기로서 플라스틱은 용기의 2층 또는 3층의 벽부분의 부분조성물을 제조하므로써 합성물로 형성될 수 있다. 그러나, 이 경우 가스배리어성과 내열성은 한층으로 증가되지 않는다.
본 발명은 상술된 사정을 고려하여 달성되었다. 본 발명의 목적은 불충분한 가스배리어성과 내열성이 용기를 형성하는 플라스틱 내부 중간층의 설치로서 증가되는 2축배향된 얇은 벽두께의 용기를 제공하는데 있다.
본 발명의 또다른 목적은 다른 열가소성 플라스틱과 비교할 때 그 자체 내열성이 우수하고 가스배리어성까지 우수한 무기재료로 만들어진 중간층으로 이루어지는 2축으로 배향된 용기를 제공하는 것이다.
상술된 목적을 지니는 본 발명에 따른 2축배향용기는 세면을 가지는 용기이며, 여기서 용기를 형성하는 플라스틱과 중간층을 형성하는 무기재료는 벽부분의 조성물이 세층을 가지는 패리즌을 형성하기 위해 공동에 동심적으로 주입되고 상기 패리즌은 신장-블로우성형되어 생성된 용기는 상기 중간층의 설치로 가스배리어성 및 내열성을 지니게 된다.
상기 기술된 무기재료로서 유리섬유가 사용된다. 유리섬유의 길이는 되도록 1 내지 4mm 범위이고 상기 유리섬유는 가스배리어성과 주입시에 유동성을 증가시키기 위한 가스배리어성을 가진 플라스틱과 함께 혼합되면서 사용된다.
가스배리어성을 지닌 상기 기술된 플라스틱은 비누화 에틸렌-비닐아세테이트 공중합체, 에틸렌-비닐알코올 공중합체, m-크실렌-타입 폴리아미드 및 폴리에틸렌 테레프탈레이트를 포함하며 0.5-3.0중량%의 비율로 유리섬유는 이들 풀라스틱에 첨가된다.
용기를 형성하는 플라스틱은 폴리에틸렌 테레프탈레이트, 염화비닐, 폴리스티렌, 폴리프로필렌, 폴리카르보네이트를 포함하며, 이것은 용기용재료로써 사용될 수 있으며 신장-블로우성형하는한 적용가능한 이들 물질들은 제조가 가능하다.
본 발명에 따른 2축배향용기를 얻기 위해 요구되는 패리즌의 성형조건은 용기가 형성되는 플라스틱의 성형조건에 의해 결정된다. 중간층으로서 유리섬유가 공동에 동시에 주입될 경우라도 단일층의 경우와 주요한 차이없이 성형은 유리섬유가 유리섬유와 함께 중간층을 형성하기 위한 플라스틱과 충분히 혼합되고 또한 높은 역압이 가해지는 한 거품 발생없이 실행될 수 있다.
게다가, 패리즌의 신장-블로우 성형에서 조차도 유리섬유의 양이 0.5-3.0중량% 범위내이라면 공기압력으로 인해 축상신장과 방사상의 팽창에 대해 장애없이 중간층을 가지는 2축배합용기를 얻는 것이 가능하다.
도면에서, 참조번호(1)은 병을 나타내고 측벽(2)과 밑벽(3)은 단면에 3층으로 성형된다. 병(1)을 형성하는 두내외층은 신장-블로우 성형가능한 열가소성 수지로 형성된다.
참조번호(5)는 중간층을 나타내며 유리섬유(6)가 유리섬유(6)에 의해 병에 부여되는 가스배리어성과 내열성을 지닌 열가소성수지에 혼합되는 물질로 이루어진다. 이경우에 플라스틱에 유리섬유양이 3.0중량%를 초과할 때 사출성형된 밑부분까지의 패리즌의 신장-블로우 성형은 어렵게 되며 그 양이 적으면 좋은 결과를 얻을 수 없다.
상술된 병(1)은 이미 공지방법으로 매우 용이하게 성형될 수 있다. 이 성형은 동심모양의 공동에 두 물질을 주입하여 내외부층(4) (4)을 형성하는 수지의 중심사이에 혼합된 유리섬유를 지닌 중간층(5)의 플라스틱이 위치되며 단면이 3층으로된 밑부분까지의 패리즌을 성형하여 이루어진다.
상기 패리즌내의 중간층의 두께는 성형된 병의 사용 목적에 따라 변하며 내외층과 중간층 사이이 백분율은 주입량에 의해 자유로이 조절될 수 있다.
상기 병(1)은 종전방법으로 패리즌을 축상으로 신장하고 공기압력으로 그것을 팽창하므로써 용이하게 성형될 수 있다.
상술된 공정으로 성형된 유리섬유를 지닌 병(1)에서, 유리섬유는 안쪽에 포함된 상태로 병(1)의 표면에는 노출되지 않으며 병으로서의 외관은 손상하지 않고 병(1)의 밑부분의 벽(3)에 충격강도는 증가되어 그러므로, 자체 지지되는 병으로서 성형되는 종래병과 비교할 때 병의 구성을 단순하게 할 수 있다.
다음에 실시예와 비교실시예를 설명한다.
[실시예 1]
내외부층 : 폴리에틸렌 테레프탈레이트
중간층 : 유리섬유의(길이 : 3mm)비누화 에틸렌-비닐아세테이트 공중합체 2중량%
벽두께(mm) : 외층-0.12, 중간층-0.15, 내층-0.14
[실시예 2]
내외부층 : 폴리에틸렌 테레프탈레이트
중간층 : 유리섬유(길이 : 3mm)의 폴리에틸렌 테레프탈레이트 2.5중량%
벽두께(mm) : 외층-0.15, 중간층-0.16, 내층-0.11
[비교실시예]
90℃ 온수에 대한 수축도(%)

*PET(단일층) 25-30
*PET(폴리에틸렌 테레프탈레이트)의 병은 변형되어 외관이 이글어지나 실시예 1,2의 병은 외관에 전혀 변형을 나타내지 않는다.
또한 가스배리어성도 단일층의 경우와 비교할 때 향상된다.
Claims (4)
- 밑바닥까지 패리즌(parison)을 성형하기 위해서 공동에 두 종류의 플라스틱을 동심적으로 주입하고 이 패리즌을 신장-블로우성형하여 얻어진 단면에 3층을 지니는 2축배향용기에 있어서, 이 용기 중간층이 소정길이의 유리섬유를 포함하는 플라스틱으로 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 내열성 및 가스 배리어성이 우수한 2축배향용기.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 유리섬유가 1-4mm의 길이를 지니며 중간층을 형성하는 플라스틱에 대하여 0.5-3.0중량%로 포함되는 것을 특징으로 하는 내열성 및 가스배리어성이 우수한 2축배향용기.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 중간층을 형성하는 플라스틱이 우수한 가스배리어성을 지닌플라스틱으로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 내열성 및 가스배리어성이 우수한 2축배향용기.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 중간층이 폴리에틸렌 테레프탈레이트, 비누화 에틸렌-비닐아세테이트 공중합체, 에틸렌- 비닐알코올 공중합체 및 m-크실렌-타입 폴리아미드로 구성되는 군으로부터 선택된 플라스틱 물질로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 내열성 및 가스배리어성이 우수한 2축배향용기.
