Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 この発明は断面が3層の2軸配向容器に関するものであ
る。
合成樹脂による薄肉の容器、たとえばびんなどは、ガス
バリヤ−に劣る欠点を有する。また容器を形成する合成
樹脂のほとんどが、熱可塑性を有することから耐熱性に
も劣り、内容物の充填温度が高いと熱収縮を起して変化
する場合が多い。
このような欠点を除去する手段として、2軸配向した容
器を熱処理して耐熱性の向上を図っているが、そのよう
な手段にも限界があり、ガスバリヤ−性についてはほと
んど改善されていない。
そこで一部では、ガスバリヤ−性の向上を目的として、
容器の断面を3層に形成し、その中間層をもってガス・
ぐリヤー性の向上を図ることが試みられているが、今の
ところ中間層によっても満足するほどのガスバリヤ−性
は得られていない。
この発明は上記2軸配向容器における欠点を排除するだ
めに考えられたものであって、その目的とするところは
容器を断面3層に形成するとともに、その中間層を、合
成樹脂よりも耐熱性及びガスバリヤ−性を有し、またパ
リソンの射出成形に対l〜では勿論のこと、延伸吹込成
形に際しても、その成形を阻害することがない材料をも
って形成しだ2軸配向容器を提供することにある。
上記目的によるこの発明の特徴は、2種の合成樹脂を同
心円状にキャビティに射出して有底の・やりソンを成形
し、そのパリソンを延伸吹込成形して得られた断面が3
層の2軸配向容器において、上記容器の中間層を所要長
さのガラス繊維を含む合成樹脂により形成してなること
にあり、そのガラス繊維をもって容器の耐熱性の向上及
びガスバリヤ−性の改善を図ってなるものである。
以下この発明を図示のびんにより詳細に説明する。
図中1はびん体で側壁2及び底壁3は断面3層に成形し
である。このびん体1を形成する内外の2つの層4.4
は、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、塩化ビニル、ポリス
チレン、ポリゾロプレン、ポリカーボネートなどの延伸
吹込成形可能な熱可塑性樹脂からなり、また中間層5は
内外層4.4を形成する樹脂と同一か、捷たけエチレン
酢酸ビニルコポリマーケン化物、メタギシレン基含有!
 ’)フミドなどの樹脂をもって形成することができる
上記中間層5を形成する樹脂中には、長さ1〜4%のガ
ラス繊維6が0.5〜20重量係の範囲にて含有させで
ある1、このガラス繊維6は合成樹脂からなるびん体1
の物理的強度を増し、丑だ耐熱性及びガスバリヤ−性の
向上に富力する。しかし樹脂中のガラス繊維の量が20
重係上りも多くなると、射出成形した有底のパリソンの
延伸吹込成形が困邦となり、寸だ含有量が少ないと満足
すべき効果が得られなくなる。
上記びん体1は、既に公知の手段をもってきわめて容易
に成形するととができる。その成形は、内外層4.4を
形成する樹脂の中央に、ガラス繊維を混練した中間層5
の樹脂を位置させ、その両方を同心円状にキャビティに
射出して、断面が3層の有底・ぐリソンを成形すること
を始めとする。
このパリソン内の中間層の厚さは、そこに成形されるび
んの使用目的によって異なり、内外層と中間層の割合は
射出量によっていかようにも調整することができる。
上記びん体1はこのノE IJソンを通常の手段をもっ
て軸方向に延伸し、更に空気圧をもって膨張することに
よって容易に成形することができる。
このような工程を得て成形されたガラス繊維入りのびん
体1では、ガラス繊維が内包された状態3− にあって、びん体1の表面には露出しないことから、ぴ
んとしての外観は損われず、またびん体1の底壁3にお
ける衝撃強度も増すことから、従来実施例 内外層 ポリエチレンテレフタレート 中間層 エチレン酢酸ビニルコポリマーケン化物ガラス繊維(長
さ3%)2重量係 側壁の肉厚(%) 外層0.12 中間層015 内層014比 較 例 90℃熱水収縮率 実施例 3.4〜3.6% ”PET(単層) 25〜30係 ′kPF、T(ポリエチレンテレフタレート)のびんは
外観を止めないほど著しく変形したが、実4− 施例の変化には熱による変化は認められなかった。

Claims (1)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 2種の合成樹脂を同心円状にキャビティに射出して有底
    のパリソンを成形し、その・ぐリソンを延伸吹込成形し
    て得られた断面が3層の2軸配向容器において、上記容
    器の中間層を所要長さのガラス繊維を含む合成樹脂によ
    り形成してなることを特徴とする耐熱性及びガスバリヤ
    −性に優れた2軸配向容器。
