Abstract

Dispositivo de ignición para un sistema de protección de ocupantes de un automóvil y en particular para un cojín inflable de protección contra impactos (airbag) con dos espigas de contacto (1) en forma de clavo, colocadas en un anillo de ajuste (4) que está relleno de un material eléctricamente aislante (5), con sendos cuellos (2) y cabezas (3), estando colocada sobre el anillo de ajuste una carcasa en forma de caperuza (7, 10), con lo cual se forma entre el anillo de ajuste (4) y la carcasa (7, 10) una cámara de ignición (8), y donde entre las caras superiores de las cabezas (3) de las espigas de contacto (1) situadas en la cámara de ignición (8) está previsto un hilo de resistencia (6) unido eléctricamente con aquellos, y estando rellena la cámara de ignición (8) con una materia inflamable (9), caracterizado porque las espigas de contacto (1) en forma de clavo están fundidas dentro de un material de vidrio (5) rodeado por el anillo de ajuste (4), porque las espigas de contacto (1) penetran con sus cabezas (3) totalmente dentro de la cámara de ignición (8) y junto con el hilo de resistencia (6) están rodeados totalmente por el material inflamable (9), que durante la fabricación del dispositivo de ignición es fluido y que a continuación solidifica, con lo cual la materia inflamable (9) queda anclada en las cabezas (3) de las espigas de contacto (1).
