ESTA INVENCION SE RELACIONA CON UN METODO QUE SE UTILIZA EN UN PROCESO DE DESULFURIZACION DE GAS DE COMBUSTION EN EL QUE EL GAS DE COMBUSTION QUE CONTIENE OXIDO Y SULFURO ES TRATADO CON UN FLUIDO DE ABSORCION QUE CONTIENE UN COMPUESTO DE CALCIO, Y SE PASA UN GAS QUE CONTIENE OXIGENO A TRAVES DEL FLUIDO DE ABSORCION QUE CONTIENE EL SULFITO DE CALCIO RESULTANTE PARA OXIDAR EL SULFITO DE CALCIO Y, POR ELLO, FORMAR YESO. ESTE METODO SIRVE PARA CONTROLAR LA OXIDACION DE SULFITOS Y COMPRENDE LOS PASOS SIGUIENTES: DETECTAR CONTINUAMENTE UNA PRIMERA SEÑAL DE DESVIACION ENTRE EL POTENCIAL DE REDUCCION DE LA OXIDACION (PRO) DEL FLUIDO DE ABSORCION Y LA PRO DEL FLUIDO DE ABSORCION EN UN ESTADO COMPLETAMENTE OXIDADO POR MEDIO DE UN DETECTOR DE POR EQUIPADO CON UN DEPOSITO DE FLUIDOS DE MUESTRA PARA DETECTAR EL PRO DEL FLUIDO DE ABSORCION Y UN DEPOSITO DE FLUIDOS DE REFERENCIA PARA OXIDAR EL FLUIDO DE ABSORCION POR MEDIO DEL PASO DE AIRE A TRAVES DEL MISMO; DETECTAR EL PRO DEL FLUIDO DE ABSORCION EN UNESTADO COMPLETAMENTE OXIDADO; CONTROLAR LA VELOCIDAD DEL FLUJO DEL GAS QUE CONTIENE OXIGENO EN RESPUESTA A UNA SEGUNDA SEÑAL DE DESVIACION ENTRE LA PRIMERA SEÑAL DE DESVIACION Y UN VALOR DE DESVIACION DE LOS PRO PREPROGRAMADOS, LOS CUALES PRO SE DETECTAN POR MEDIO DE UN DETECTOR DE PRO EQUIPADO CON UNA PLURALIDAD DE DEPOSITOS DE FLUIDOS DE REFERENCIA Y HACEN MEDIDAS MIENTRAS SE CAMBIAN SUCESIVAMENTE LOS DEPOSITOS DE FLUIDOS DE REFERENCIA.
