LA REACCION DE ALQUILACION EN FASE LIQUIDA PUEDE SER CATALIZADA POR UN OXIDO SOLIDO ACIDO COMO MCM-22, MCM-49 Y MCM-56. LA TRANSALQUILACION EN FASE DE VAPOR PUEDE SER CATALIZADA POR UNA ZEOLITA DE TAMAÑO DE PORO MEDIANO COMO ZSM-5. EL PROCEDIMIENTO SE PUEDE LLEVAR A CABO DE FORMA CONTINUA MEDIANTE LA INTRODUCCION CONTINUA DE UN APORTE DE BENCENO NUEVO QUE CONTIENE AL MENOS 500 PPM DE IMPUREZAS HIDROCARBONADAS NO BENCENICAS.
