Definitions

  • the invention relates to a tent with an inflatable support structure for attachment to a stand up paddle board.
  • the invention relates to a stand up paddle board with a tent with an inflatable support structure.
  • Tents with an inflatable support structure which is essentially formed by inflatable tubes in the form of arches, are basically known.
  • a tent attached to a stand up paddle board is known from the document CN214138848U known.
  • SUP board stand up paddle board
  • a tent according to the invention for attachment to a SUP board has a support structure formed from at least two inflatable arches and at least one tent fabric forming the cover of the tent, wherein the cover is attached to the arches.
  • SUP board is generally relatively unstable on the water in the transverse direction, even when used with such a tent, i.e. it wobbles slightly.
  • the tent according to the invention solves these problems by connecting the arches on their underside in the longitudinal direction on both sides by a side tube.
  • a side tube When inflated, a side tube has a height approximately equal to the thickness of a SUP board.
  • the side tubes compensate for the height difference between the ground or the water surface, thus supporting the arches.
  • the side tubes which lie on the water next to the SUP board when the tent is mounted on the SUP board, stabilize the SUP board in the transverse direction. This makes using the tent on the water more comfortable, as the risk of tipping over is significantly reduced.
  • the inflatable support structure is preferably made of tubes that have a tear-resistant, inelastic outer skin, for example made of a textile material, and that consist of an airtight and resilient material, for example polyurethane, preferably thermoplastic polyurethane.
  • the bends and the side tubes are connected to each other via valves and form a closed, airtight system.
  • each bend and each side tube have their own inflating and deflating valve.
  • the bends each have their own inflating and deflating valve and the side tubes each have their own deflating valve, so that the side tubes are initially inflated, but the air can be released from the connecting valves after they are closed.
  • valves between the arches and the side tubes are closable, so that when the valves are closed, the arches can be inflated independently of the side tubes.
  • each arch is connected to one another via a strap, wherein the length of the straps is preferably adjustable via a tensioning system.
  • the adjustable strap length allows adaptation to different sizes of SUP boards.
  • the straps run through tabs, loops or similar devices on the side tubes.
  • the tent according to the invention has a guying device for guying the tent in the longitudinal direction.
  • guying the tent by tensioning the tent fabric of the cover also allows the usable area of the tent to be increased without extending the support structure.
  • a support structure is only required in a central area of the tent in order to provide the required height and, if necessary, width of the tent. The desired or complete length of the tent is achieved in these embodiments of the invention by guying the tent.
  • the guying device has a belt loop on each side that can be plugged over the respective end of a stand-up paddling board as an abutment and is connected to the cover.
  • the guying device is compatible with different sizes of SUP boards and is also easy and comfortable to handle.
  • At least one length-adjustable strap is attached to at least one of the belt loops, via which the belt loop is connected to the cover.
  • the strap is connected to the bottom of the tent cover.
  • the shell of the tent has an inner tent and an outer tent, wherein the inner tent is attached to the inside of the arches so that it is arranged in the area of the arches underneath them and is stretched out using the guying device, and the outer tent rests on the outside or on top of the arches and is guyed out lengthwise in the area of the belt loops.
  • the arches are integrated into the tent fabric of the inner tent, for example sewn in.
  • the guy ropes of the outer tent can be connected to the The outer tent can be attached using hooks with eyelets on the guy ropes, for example on the belt loops or straps.
  • an inner and an outer tent enables the combination of various useful properties of the layers of the tent's shell.
  • the distance between the inner and outer tent creates an insulating layer.
  • the inner tent also preferably has a strong waterproof fabric for the floor.
  • the outer tent is detachably connected to the arches at the sides.
  • the inflating and deflating valves are preferably designed to be compatible with a standard SUP board pump so that it can also be used to inflate the support structure.
  • a stand up paddle board according to the invention is characterized in that it has a tent according to the invention.
  • the guying device in embodiments of the invention has eyelets, preferably metal eyelets, through which pegs can be inserted and hammered into the ground.
  • eyelets preferably metal eyelets
  • corresponding eyelets can also be arranged in the straps for the same purpose.
  • the tent or its elements have the following dimensions: Diameter of the arches: 8 cm, inner height of the tent/arches: 85 cm, distance between the arches at the widest point inside 82 cm, distance from arch to arch: 125 cm, diameter of the side tubes: 15 cm, length of the side tubes: 135 cm
  • the inner tent measures 3.00 meters on the ground at its longest point from front to back and therefore fits boards from a size of approx. 3.55 meters, although there is no upper limit to the length of the SUP board.
  • SUP boards designed as touring boards is approx. 3.90 cm.
  • the tent fits SUP boards of approx. 76 to 86 cm in appropriate designs.
  • the inflatable support system is inflated to a pressure of about 5-8 PSI.
  • Figure 1 shows an embodiment of a tent (1) according to the invention with an inflatable support structure (3) mounted on a SUP board (20) in a perspective view in a partially transparent representation.
  • the support structure (3) has two arches (2) which are aligned approximately parallel and span the SUP board (20) in the transverse direction.
  • the cover (4) of the tent (1) is attached to the arches (2).
  • the cover (4) in this illustration is formed by an inner tent (10).
  • the cover (4) shown here from suitable materials and thus to do without a separate outer tent (11).
  • the support structure (3) further comprises two side tubes (5), each arranged laterally next to the SUP board (20) and connecting the arches (2) at their lower ends on both sides of the SUP board (20).
  • the side tubes (5) lift the arches (2) to a level approximately at the height of the top of the SUP board (20) and support the SUP board (20) in the transverse direction.
  • the support structure (3) is detachably attached to the SUP board (20) using straps (6).
  • the straps (6) run under the SUP board (20) and connect the support structure (3) on both sides of the SUP board (20).
  • the cover (4) is secured by means of a guying device (7) in the longitudinal direction of the SUP board (20) in the area of the front and rear ends, so that the space surrounded by the cover (4) is larger than the space spanned solely by the support structure (2).
  • the guying device (7) has a belt loop (8) at each end of the SUP board (20), which is connected to the bottom of the cover (4) or the inner tent (10) via three adjustable straps (8).
  • FIG 2 the tent (1) according to the invention is shown with a partially transparent outer tent (11) which lies over the inner tent (10).
  • a double-walled cover (4) is thus formed.
  • the outer tent (11) is made of ripstop nylon and is placed over the arches (2) of the support structure (3). This gives it the necessary distance from the inner tent (11).
  • the outer tent (11) is secured at the front and back via fastening eyelets on the straps (at the nose and tail of the SUP board). At the sides, it can be hooked onto specially provided fastening eyelets on the arches (2) and the side tubes (5).
  • the outer tent (11) has ventilation slots (12) at the front and back as well as a large opening (13) at the entrance with a waterproof zipper.
  • Figure 3 shows a view of a tent (1) according to the invention on a SUP board (20) from the rear end of the SUP board (20) in a partially transparent representation.
  • the side tubes (5) are located to the left and right of the SUP board (20) and are approximately the same thickness as the SUP board (20).
  • the straps (6) run from the lower end of the arches (2) around the outside of the side tubes (5) and under the SUP board (20).
  • the belt loop (8) of the guying device (7) can be seen, which is placed around the SUP board (20).
  • FIG 4 the tent (1) according to the invention is shown mounted on a SUP board (20) from below. It can be seen that the straps (6) run approximately parallel under the SUP board (20) and that the side tubes (5) increase the width of the SUP board (20).
