Wenn der Soll-Wert erreicht ist, bedeutet dies, dass der Schlupf hinreichend reduziert ist und somit die Waschemulsion in hinreichendem Maße aus dem Farbwerk entfernt worden ist. Bei einer stark vergrößerten Walze 4 oder 9 reduziert sich durch die verlängerte Umfangsabwicklung die gemessene Walzendrehzahl. Obwohl die Walze 4, 9 schlupffrei läuft, wird die Differenz zwischen ihrer gemessenen Drehzahl (bzw. der damit korrespondierenden Umfangsgeschwindigkeit) zum Soll-Wert der Umfangsgeschwindigkeit beim Waschen als Nachlauf bzw. Schlupf bewertet. Um das zu vermeiden, führt die Steuerung 5 programmgemäß in bestimmten zeitlichen Abständen einen Initialisierungslauf durch, bei welchem die wahre Drehzahl der Walzen 4, 9 im Verhältnis zur Maschinendrehzahl ermittelt und automatisch abgespeichert wird. - Method of washing an inking unit in a printing press wherein a washing agent is introduced into the inking unit and a roller (4, 9) of the inking unit is driven exclusively by roller friction,

in that the rotary speed of the roller (4, 9) is monitored by a sensor (2, 8) of a control (5) and in that the control (5) reduces or stops the introduction of the washing agent when the control (5) realizes that the rotary speed drops below a rotary speed threshold. - Method according to claim 1,
