Definitions

  • the invention relates to a damp cleaning device, in particular a damp mopping device, with a cleaning roller rotatably mounted about a roller axis and a roller cover at least partially surrounding the cleaning roller in the circumferential direction, which has at least one displaceable cover element for optionally closing and / or opening an opening area of the roller cover.
  • Damp cleaning devices of the aforementioned type are known in the prior art.
  • the DE 102 29 611 B3 discloses, for example, a wet cleaning device with a wiping body which can be driven to rotate about an axis of rotation, in which a cleaning liquid is taken from a storage tank and sprayed onto the surface of the wiping body by means of spray nozzles arranged in the direction of the axis of rotation of the wiping body.
  • the wiping body moistened in this way is guided over a surface to be cleaned during a wiping operation, the wiping body picking up dirt from the surface to be cleaned.
  • the wiping body is increasingly covered with dirt, so that regeneration is necessary.
  • the wiping body is lifted from the surface to be cleaned, surrounded by a housing and sprayed with unused cleaning fluid.
  • the wiper body rotates, so that cleaning fluid and dirt from the wiper body are driven out, hit the inside of the housing and transferred to a collection container for dirty liquid.
  • the displaceable cover element has a collecting device providing a storage volume, in particular a collecting container, for collecting liquid remaining within the roller cover.
  • a collecting device is now arranged on the displaceable cover element, into which the liquid remaining within the roller cover can flow.
  • the cover element is shifted from a closed position of the cover element to an open position of the cover element, the liquid flows along an inner wall of the cover element, following the force of gravity, to the collecting device, where the liquid is collected and thus cannot drip off the roller cover.
  • the collecting device is advantageously designed in the manner of a collecting container.
  • the collecting container can have a single chamber or also several chambers in which the liquid is collected.
  • the free volume of the chamber or chambers determines the storage volume of the collecting device, that is to say the amount of liquid that can be received in the collecting device.
  • the collecting device can be designed in one piece with the cover element, for example in the form of a common injection-molded part.
  • the collecting device can be arranged as a separately produced element on the cover element, for example by means of connection techniques such as gluing, welding, latching and the like, priority being given to those fastening methods which provide a fluid-tight connection between the cover element and the collecting device.
  • the collecting device be arranged, offset radially inward, on an inner wall of the cover element facing the cleaning roller.
  • the collecting device is thus located directly in the flow path of the liquid which flows along the inner wall of the cover element.
  • the collecting device is preferably located in the circumferential direction of the cover element at that end region of the cover element which, in a completely open state of the roller cover, represents a lowest point of the cover element displaced into the open position. This ensures that the liquid cannot escape from the collecting device, but is caught like in an upright container.
  • the radial width of the collecting device is preferably less than the radial distance between the cleaning roller and the cover element, so that the cover element can be displaced without the collecting device rubbing against the cleaning roller.
  • the collecting device can have a radial width of a few millimeters, for example 5 mm to 10 mm, with a radial free space of preferably at least 2 mm still remaining between the collecting device and the cleaning roller, in order to absorb changes in the diameter of the cleaning roller, for example due to deformations dependent on centrifugal force.
  • the collecting device is designed to take up an amount of liquid of up to 30 ml.
  • a capacity of the collecting device of up to 30 ml is sufficient to be able to safely absorb the residual liquid remaining in the roller cover after a regeneration process of the cleaning roller.
  • not the entire amount of liquid available from the dampening cleaning device is usually used at once to moisten the cleaning roller. Therefore, that portion of the liquid which does not reach a collecting container for dirty liquid when it is spun off the cleaning roller during the regeneration operation is usually only a very small fraction of the total amount of liquid. If the collecting device can therefore hold up to 30 ml of liquid, possibly also less, for example only 20 ml or only 10 ml, dripping is reliably prevented.
  • the collecting device has an opening which leads the storage volume in an opening direction of the roller cover.
  • the collecting device which is preferably designed as a collecting container, thus has an opening which is also displaced during the displacement of the cover element in such a way that the opening is arranged above the storage volume in the open position of the cover element (relative to a vertical). This ensures that the liquid cannot leave the collecting device.
  • the opening can again come under a level of the storage volume, so that liquid can escape from the collecting device on the inner wall of the cover element. This can be done for the purpose that the liquid remaining in the roller cover during a previous regeneration operation can be thrown back to a collecting container during the next regeneration operation by the rotation of the cleaning roller.
  • the opening of the collecting device could also lag a part of the storage volume (based on the opening direction).
  • the opening of the collecting device is assigned a channel, a liquid line or the like which opens into a collecting container for dirty liquid.
  • the collecting device can also have several openings, which can also be arranged at different height levels.
  • the collecting device be formed along the entire axial longitudinal extent of the cover element.
  • the collecting device be designed in the circumferential direction of the cover element over an angular section of 30 ° to 90 °.
  • the proposed size of the angular section of 30 ° to 90 ° is particularly suitable for cover elements which can be displaced by approximately 180 ° in order to selectively open or close the opening area.
  • the collecting device covers only 30 ° to 90 ° of a circumferential section of the cover element, there is a sufficient angular section which remains free for liquid next to the collecting device to drip off. It is particularly recommended that when the roller cover is in the closed position, the collecting device is not arranged vertically under the cleaning roller, but is offset by an angle, for example with respect to an angle between a vertical direction and a plane in which the opening of the collecting device is arranged , of preferably at least 30 °.
  • the damp cleaning device have at least one collecting device which is arranged on the end of the cover element in relation to an axial direction.
  • the liquid remaining within the roller cover is collected in a collecting device at the end of the cover element.
  • the cover element advantageously has on both axial end sides a collection facility.
  • the collecting device can also be arranged on or in a part of the roller cover that is fixed to the housing of the wet cleaning device or on or in the device housing.
  • each of the collecting devices can preferably receive an amount of liquid of up to 15 ml, so that the total amount of liquid that can be absorbed is up to 30 ml.
  • the collecting device or the collecting devices can be detachably arranged on the cover element or the roller cover in the manner of an end cap. This enables the collecting device to be removed from the wet cleaning device, so that the collecting device can easily be cleaned by a user of the wet cleaning device, in particular in order to remove dirt deposits from time to time.
  • an inner wall of the cover element has a feed ramp which is inclined to a horizontal and extends in particular from a center of an axial longitudinal extension of the cover element to the end-side collecting device, which is designed in such a way that liquid located inside the roller cover is displaced when the cover element is moved is guided in an opening direction following the force of gravity into the end-side collecting device. Due to the rotation of the cover element around the roller axis, the liquid located on the inner wall of the cover element can flow onto the feed ramp and from there flow along an incline as the cover element is continuously moved in the opening direction to the collecting device.
  • the slope of the feed ramp relates to an orientation of the feed ramp at a lowest point of the roller cover, which is arranged in the closed position of the roller cover in the vertical direction directly below the cleaning roller.
  • the cover element has two feed ramps which are arranged mirror-symmetrically to a plane which runs in the middle of the roller axis perpendicular to the roller axis.
  • the liquid flowing along the inner wall of the cover element can thus reach one of the collecting devices independently of the axial starting position on the inner wall.
  • the collecting device have a drain opening which can be connected to a collecting container by rotating the cover element in the opening direction so that liquid collected in the collecting device can be transferred into the collecting container.
  • the liquid is thus first collected in the collecting device and only released through the drain opening when the roller cover is in the open position, because - at the latest then - it is connected to the collecting container.
  • the liquid is thus first fed inside the cover element via the feed ramp into the collecting device, remains there during the further shifting of the cover element from the closed position to the open position and is finally when it reaches the open position through the drain opening into the collecting container for Dirty liquid transferred.
  • the collecting device is emptied and no more liquid can drip off the roller cover onto a surface to be cleaned or a freshly cleaned surface.
  • the functional principle that the collecting device first absorbs and stores the liquid and then transfers it to a collecting container can be provided regardless of whether the collecting device is arranged along the entire length of the cover element or alternatively in an axial end region of the cover element.
  • the cover element or the roller cover has collecting devices formed in the axial direction as well as at the ends, which are interconnected by channels, liquid lines and the like and can be emptied into a collecting container via a common drainage opening.
  • the cover element be displaceable by at least 130 °, preferably by 135 ° to 180 °, with respect to the roller axis.
  • This proposed pivoting range of the cover element is sufficient on the one hand to open the roller cover sufficiently to move the cleaning roller to a surface to be cleaned, and on the other hand to be able to collect liquid flowing in the direction of a lowest point of the roller cover or of the cover element in the collecting device.
  • wet cleaning device is to be understood as meaning devices which exclusively or among other things also enable wet cleaning. These include, on the one hand, the hand-held and automatically movable wet cleaning devices, in particular cleaning robots, and, on the other hand, combined dry and wet cleaning devices which can perform both wet cleaning and dry cleaning.
  • wet cleaning devices for cleaning above-floor surfaces are also meant. These include, for example Devices for cleaning windows, cleaning shelves, stairs and the like.
  • Figure 1 shows a damp cleaning device 1, which is designed here as a damp mopping device with a base device 13 and an attachment 14.
  • a handle 16 with a handle 17 is arranged on the base device 13, by means of which a user can guide the wet cleaning device 1 over a surface to be cleaned.
  • the handle 16 is advantageously designed to be telescopic, so that a user can adjust the height of the wet cleaning device 1 to his body size.
  • the user shifts the wet cleaning device 1 in a back and forth movement over the surface to be cleaned, alternately pushing the wet cleaning device 1 away from him and towards him.
  • the attachment 14 has a device housing 12 in which a tank (not shown) for cleaning fluid is arranged. Liquid can be filled into the tank via a filler neck 15. A cleaning roller 3, which can be rotated about a roller axis 2, is also arranged in the device housing 12. The roller axis 2 is essentially perpendicular to a normal direction of movement of the dampening cleaning device 1. The liquid can be dispensed from the tank onto the surface of the cleaning roller 3 in order to moisten it.
  • the cleaning roller 3 rotates about the roller axis 2, so that the peripheral surface of the cleaning roller 3 continuously rolls on the surface to be cleaned.
  • the cleaning roller 3 is usually wrapped with a cleaning coating, optionally with an additional sponge body interposed.
  • the cleaning pad here is, for example, a textile cleaning cloth.
  • dirt is continuously deposited on the cleaning roller 3, that is to say the cleaning coating. Therefore, after a certain period of operation, it may be necessary to regenerate the cleaning roller 3, with dirt and fluid loaded with dirt being removed from the cleaning roller 3 during a regeneration operation.
  • the cleaning roller 3 is usually rotated at a speed which is higher than the speed of the cleaning roller 3 during a wiping operation. This causes dirt and dirt to be thrown off from the cleaning roller 3.
  • the sprayed-off liquid can be collected and fed to a collecting container.
  • Figure 2 shows a partial area of the device housing 12 of the attachment 14, in which the cleaning roller 3 is held rotatably about the roller axis 2.
  • the roller axis 2 simultaneously forms an axis of rotation for a displaceable cover element 5 of a roller cover 4, which surrounds the cleaning roller 3 in the circumferential direction.
  • the cover element 5 can be displaced relative to a stationary part of the roller cover 4 into an opening area 6 of the roller cover 4 in order to preferably completely close the roller cover 4 in the circumferential direction of the cleaning roller 3.
  • the illustrated closed position of the cover element 5 or the roller cover 4 corresponds to the position during a regeneration operation of the wet cleaning device 1, in which dirt and liquid are thrown off the cleaning roller 3 and transferred to a collecting container.
  • the cover element 5 is displaced from the opening area 6 of the roller cover 4 so that the cleaning roller 3 can be displaced out of the roller cover 4 in the direction of a surface to be cleaned.
  • a drive motor and a gear are usually provided, which cause the displacement of the cover element 5 and possibly also the cleaning roller 3 (not shown).
  • a regeneration operation of the wet cleaning device 1 is initiated in such a way that the cover element 5 is displaced until the cleaning roller 3 is completely enclosed by the roller cover 4 in the circumferential direction.
  • the cleaning roller 3 is then strongly accelerated, optionally with the prior or simultaneous addition of liquid. Due to the high speed of the cleaning roller 3, which should be higher than the speed of the cleaning roller 3 during a wiping operation, the liquid including dirt is thrown out of the cleaning roller 3.
  • a stripping device 19 can be provided which touches the surface of the cleaning roller 3 and additionally supports the regeneration.
  • the rotation of the cleaning roller 3 simultaneously causes a flow of the ambient air, which supports the transport of the liquid and the dirt in the direction of a collecting channel 18. Overall, an optimal regeneration result is achieved.
  • the roller cover 4 is opened again by moving the cover element 5 in the opening direction r around the roller axis 2 and the cleaning roller 3 can emerge from the device housing 12 and come into contact with a surface to be cleaned.
  • the cover element 5 When the cover element 5 is displaced in the opening direction r, residual liquid which was not transferred into the collecting duct 18 during the regeneration operation flows along an inner wall 7 of the cover element 5 to a current lowest point of the roller cover 4 or of the cover element 5.
  • the collecting device 8 provides a storage volume for the liquid to be absorbed. For example, an amount of liquid of 20 ml can be absorbed here. Since after a regeneration operation of the cleaning roller 3 usually only amounts of liquid of a few milliliters remain within the roller cover 4, the collecting device 8 is large enough to be able to absorb this amount of liquid.
  • Figures 3 to 6 show the cover element 5 of the roller cover 4 starting from a closed position ( Figure 3 ) when shifting towards an open position ( Figure 6 ).
  • the cover element 5 is in the closed position in which the roller cover 4 completely surrounds the cleaning roller 3 in the circumferential direction.
  • a regeneration operation of the wet cleaning device 1 is ended and a large part of the liquid of the cleaning roller 3 is transferred into the collecting channel 18.
  • Only a small proportion of residual liquid (not shown to scale in the figures) remains inside the roller cover 4 and, following the force of gravity, collects at a lowest point on the inner wall 7 of the cover element 5.
  • the collecting device 8 arranged on the cover element 5 is in the closed position of the cover element 5, based on a vertical direction, completely above the lowest point at which the liquid and possibly dirt have collected.
  • the collecting device 8 is formed here (not visible in the sectional illustration shown) along the entire longitudinal extent of the cleaning roller 3. In the circumferential direction, the collecting device 8 extends over an angular section ⁇ of the cover element 5 which is approximately 45 °. This corresponds to a quarter of the angular range occupied by the entire cover element 5, which is 180 ° here.
  • Figure 4 shows a position of the roller cover 4 in which the cover element is displaced in the opening direction r such that the opening area 6 is at least partially exposed.
  • the opening 9 of the collecting device 8 is located approximately in the area of the lowest point of the roller cover 4, so that the liquid collected at the lowest point can flow into the collecting device 8.
  • the opening area 6 opens up noticeably, as in FIG Figure 5 shown.
  • the collecting device 8 has now passed the lowest point and is in a position in which the opening 9 of the collecting device 8 is arranged at a higher level than the liquid collected in the collecting device 8. In this position, the liquid can no longer escape from the collecting device 8 and thus cannot drip onto the surface to be cleaned.
  • the collecting device 8 is formed in the axial direction along the entire longitudinal extension of the cleaning roller 3 or the roller cover 4, liquid can be transferred from any area of the cleaning roller 3 into the collecting device 8 without the need for special guide devices. Rather, the liquid thrown off by the cleaning roller 3 merely follows the curvature of the inner wall 7 in the direction of the lowest point of the cover element 5, where it is collected and finally, when the cover element 5 is displaced in the opening direction r, it can be transferred into the collecting device 8.
  • FIG 7 shows the roller cover 4 in isolation, that is to say without the cleaning roller 3 arranged therein.
  • the roller cover 4 is in the closed position in which the cover element 5 completely closes the opening area 6 of the roller cover 4.
  • the collecting channel 18, through which liquid can reach a collecting container of the wet cleaning device 1, can be seen.
  • the collecting channel 18 is formed in one piece with the roller cover 4, for example by injection molding.
  • the opening 9 of the collecting device 8 leads the storage volume of the collecting device 8 in relation to the opening direction r of the cover element 5.
  • the opening 9 has a plurality of webs 20 which are arranged next to one another in the axial direction of the cover element 5 and along which the liquid can flow into the collecting device 8.
  • FIG 8 shows a cover element 5 of a roller cover 4 according to a further embodiment.
  • the illustrated cover element 5 has collecting devices 8 at the end with respect to an axial direction. Liquid can flow into these collecting devices 8 from an inner wall 7 of the cover element 5 through openings 9.
  • a feed ramp 10 is arranged for each of the collecting devices 8, which ramp extends from a center of the longitudinal extent of the cover element 5 to the respective collecting device 8.
  • the feed ramp 10 has in the in Figure 8
  • the position of the cover element 5 shown has a slope over which liquid during a rotation of the cover element 5 from the inner wall 7 of the cover element 5 to the opening 9 of the respective collecting device 8 can stream.
  • the respective feed ramp 10 By moving the cover element 5 from the closed position to the open position, the respective feed ramp 10 is also shifted, the orientation of the feed ramp 10 changing in relation to an effective direction of gravity.
  • the cover element 5 When the cover element 5 is in an open position, the liquid collected in the collecting device 8 can no longer flow back through the opening 9 onto the feed ramp 10 or the inner wall 7 of the cover element 5. As a result, the liquid is caught in the collecting device 8 and, in the open position of the roller cover 4, cannot drip onto a surface to be cleaned.
  • FIGs 9 to 12 show, to clarify the function, a radial cross section through a collecting device 8 during a rotation of the cover element 5 from a closed position ( Figure 9 ) to an open position ( Figure 12 ).
  • Figure 11 shows a point in time during a (opposite Figure 10 ) continued displacement of the cover element 5 in the opening direction r.
  • the liquid is now located below the feed ramp 10 in relation to a vertical direction.
  • Figure 12 shows the position of the cover element 5 with the opening area 6 of the roller cover 4 fully open.
  • the liquid collected in the collecting device 8 is located in a vertical direction above a drainage opening 11 of the collecting device 8, so that the liquid contained in the collecting device 8 can flow out of the collecting device 8.
  • the collecting channel 18 of the attachment 14 preferably adjoins the drain opening 11 of the collecting device 8 so that the liquid can be transferred from the collecting device 8 into a collecting container for dirty liquid.
  • the wet cleaning device 1 can of course also be a cleaning robot.
