Definitions

  • the invention relates to a motor vehicle door lock having a locking device, with a rotary latch and at least one locking pawl and an actuating lever, the locking device being at least indirectly unlockable by means of the actuating lever, and a locking device, the actuating lever being able to be disengaged from the locking device by means of the locking device.
  • Motor vehicle door locks are used to lock doors, flaps or hoods in a motor vehicle. If, for example, it is common in passenger vehicles to use a door lock, this changes if, for example, the size of the door exceeds a certain size. To ensure that even large doors are properly locked in every area of the doorway, it may be necessary to use two or more door locks to properly lock the door. This can be the case, for example, when vehicles are equipped without a B-pillar and the doors have a function to stabilize the frame. In addition, sliding doors, for example, can require a second motor vehicle door lock. A plurality of door locks are preferably used if the door has a great height. When two or more door locks are used, it is then common for a required number of secondary locks to be used in addition to a main lock.
  • Main and secondary locks are arranged in such a way that sufficient closing force is available at every point of the door opening to hold the door in its closed position, to stabilize the motor vehicle and to provide sufficient closing force to keep the door against the door seal to keep sealing. If, for example, the door is moved and positioned against the door sealing profile in the area of the hinges, depending on its position, when closing, so that there is sufficient sealing pressure in the area of the hinges is generated in order to seal the door, this force must be applied in the area of the motor vehicle door lock by the motor vehicle door lock or opposed to the door seal in order to position the door in a sealing manner in this area as well. If the door has a great height, for example, then it may be necessary to use one, two or more secondary locks in addition to the main lock in order to generate appropriate positioning forces that seal the door all the way round.
  • FIG DE 10 2006 020 344 A1 An example of a sliding door with a main lock and a number of secondary locks is from FIG DE 10 2006 020 344 A1 known.
  • the sliding door is disclosed there by way of example with a main lock and a plurality of secondary locks.
  • a common control unit and separate transmission means can be used to act on all locking systems, such as the main lock and secondary locks, in order to actuate or activate and / or deactivate them.
  • the locking systems are actuated as usual, for example, via an outside door handle or an inside door handle, but can also be carried out in a contactless manner via a sensor. Based on the actuating devices, the locks can then be activated or deactivated and / or the locking or locking functions can be influenced.
  • a generic motor vehicle door lock is from DE 10 2009 051 432 A1 known.
  • the motor vehicle door lock has a lock consisting of a rotary latch and at least one pawl, the rotary latch being engageable with a lock holder and the pawl latching the lock in the closed state of the door.
  • a clutch lever is connected to the pawl via a pin, so that with a suitable alignment of the clutch lever and actuation of the clutch lever, in this example, an actuating lever can be actuated so that the ratchet can be unlocked.
  • the clutch lever serves as a clutch between the pawl and the actuating lever.
  • WO 2006/024264 A1 a system comprising a motor vehicle door lock forming a main lock and a further motor vehicle door lock forming a secondary lock is known, opening mechanisms of both motor vehicle door locks being coupled.
  • a similar system is from the DE 10 2006 019 336 A1 known.
  • the clutch lever In addition to triggering, i.e. unlocking, the locking mechanism, the clutch lever has another function. Depending on the position of the clutch lever, actuation of the release or actuation lever can be rendered ineffective, that is, the motor vehicle door lock is locked. An outside locking lever, an inside locking lever or an electric drive can be used to lock the motor vehicle door lock. All three locking mechanisms act on a locking lever, which in turn is in engagement with the clutch lever and can bring the clutch lever into engagement or disengagement from the release or actuation lever.
  • main lock and secondary lock are in the door at a distance from one another.
  • a problem that arises with such lock combinations of main lock and secondary lock is that only one actuating lever, such as an inside door handle or an outside door handle, is available to open both locks. The opening stroke of the outside or inside door handle must then be used to unlock both locks.
  • the available actuation path of the inside or outside handle complies with the existing and expected tolerances, the distances to be bridged between the locks and the triggering forces that occur or are required in the motor vehicle door locks.
  • the release forces of the secondary lock add up to the release forces of the main lock, so that a mechanical connection of a Secondary lock a large number of requirements are made of a main lock.
  • the invention is based on the object of improving a motor vehicle door lock in such a way that an additional lock connected to the motor vehicle door lock is also to be provided with additional functions and in particular a convenience function.
  • a motor vehicle door lock having a locking mechanism, with a rotary latch and at least one pawl and an actuating lever, the locking mechanism being at least indirectly unlockable by means of the actuating lever and a locking device, whereby by means of the Locking device of the actuating lever can be brought out of engagement with the locking mechanism, and a further motor vehicle door lock is provided and the further motor vehicle door lock can be actuated by means of the actuating lever and the actuating lever chain by means of the locking device can be disengaged from the further motor vehicle lock, a second actuating lever being provided on the motor vehicle door lock, the second actuating lever being actuatable by means of the first actuating lever and the further motor vehicle door lock being actuatable by means of the second actuating lever, the first and second actuating levers being connected by means of a coupling lever, wherein the coupling lever has an extension and the extension is in engagement with a locking lever of the locking device,
  • the extension now interacts elastically with the locking lever.
  • This motor vehicle door lock and another motor vehicle door lock, in particular an additional lock can be locked together.
  • the actuating lever chain is disengaged from the actuating lever by means of the locking device in the main lock, so that actuation of the actuating lever does not unlock the lock of the main lock and the secondary lock. If the locking device brings the actuating lever out of engagement with the locking mechanism, according to the invention the locking lever can simultaneously interrupt the actuating lever chain to the additional lock, so that a locked state can be achieved for the main lock and the secondary lock.
  • the use of a clutch lever between the first and second actuating lever makes it possible that the locking device can be designed in its original design or only with very minor modifications and can only have an extension, for example, so that the clutch lever is out of engagement with the second actuating lever or alternatively can be brought with the first actuating lever and can thus provide a locking function for the secondary lock.
  • the use of existing components or largely existing components offers the advantage that proven functions and a proven interaction of the components of the motor vehicle door lock can be used and only the connection of the additional lock and the extended function of a lock have to be integrated into the main lock.
  • An extension that, for example, fits into the existing The locking lever engages offers the advantage that the least possible or no changes at all have to be made to the locking lever in order to enable an interaction between the coupling lever and the locking lever. If, for example, there is a form-fitting connection between the shape formed on the extension and the coupling lever, it is possible, for example, to engage in an existing contour of the locking lever in order to lock and unlock the secondary lock.
  • An extension can be realized, for example, from a cylinder pin engaging in the locking lever.
  • an interaction of a contour formed on the locking lever and an extension or recess in the coupling lever is also conceivable within the scope of the invention.
  • the inventive design allows a locking and unlocking function to be implemented by means of a suitable design of a coupling lever for the secondary lock or additional lock, so there is an elastic connection between the locking lever and the coupling lever to provide a convenience function of the additional lock.
  • a convenience function here means that in the event that the motor vehicle lock is locked, i.e. the actuation chain is interrupted so that the actuation levers are out of engagement with the lock, and at the same time, for example by means of the electric drive or manual internal locking of the If the locking lever is actuated, the unlocking can be saved by means of the elastic connection between the coupling lever and the locking lever. For example, if the external operating lever, i.e. the first operating lever, is pulled and the clutch lever is out of engagement with the second operating lever, and if the locking lever is moved into the unlocked position at the same time, the elastic connection between the clutch lever and the locking lever is deformed and stored by means of the Deformation energy the unlocking position.
  • this includes a rotary latch which is preferably rotatably mounted in the motor vehicle door lock and can preferably be brought into engagement with a lock holder. If the rotary latch is in engagement with the lock holder, the at least one pawl fix the rotary latch in its position so that the lock is locked.
  • the locked lock can be unlocked by means of the actuating lever, preferably by means of a release lever and / or coupling lever that interacts with the actuating lever.
  • the locking device interrupts the operating lever chain to the locking mechanism.
  • the further motor vehicle door lock in particular the additional lock, can likewise be unlocked by means of the actuating lever by means of the actuating lever.
  • the additional lock is preferably also a motor vehicle door lock which is equipped at least with a locking mechanism and an actuating lever. If the actuating lever of the main lock is now brought out of engagement with the actuating lever chain, this also prevents the locking mechanism of the additional lock from being unlocked. Additional lock and main lock are locked.
  • the second actuating lever can preferably be arranged in a bearing point present in the main lock, so that no additional components are required to accommodate the second actuating lever.
  • the second actuating lever can preferably be mounted on an axis of the locking lever. Even more preferably, the axle for the second actuating lever and the locking lever additionally supports a locking part, in particular the rotary latch.
  • a further embodiment of the invention results when the first actuating lever can be brought out of engagement with a release lever and the coupling lever can be brought out of engagement with the second actuating lever by means of the locking lever.
  • the locking lever is used to disengage the first actuating lever and the coupling lever to actuate the second actuating lever, the main lock and secondary lock can be locked with just one movement, preferably an angular movement or rotation, of the locking lever.
  • only one means of actuating the locking lever is necessary in order to lock or unlock the main and secondary lock.
  • a locking and unlocking can be triggered.
  • the locking lever As a means for actuation, for example, an inside locking lever, an outside locking lever or, for example, an electric drive, all of which act on the locking lever, a locking and unlocking can be triggered.
  • the locking lever As a means for locking and unlocking the main and secondary lock, the number of components required can in turn be kept low, which in turn has a positive effect on the manufacturing costs and the structural design.
  • a form-fitting and / or releasable connection between the second actuating lever and the clutch lever offers the possibility that, on the one hand, a secure connection between the clutch lever and the second actuating lever can be realized, and also offers the possibility of designing the locking and unlocking in a structurally favorable manner.
  • a contour can be formed on the clutch lever which, depending on the position of the clutch lever, enables or prevents engagement of the second operating lever.
  • the coupling lever can be brought out of engagement with the second actuating lever, for example by a pivoting movement.
  • a pivoting movement for example, a pivoting movement.
  • combined form-fitting and releasable connections between the clutch lever and the second operating lever are also conceivable within the scope of the invention.
  • extension is designed in one piece with the clutch lever, a further advantageous embodiment results for realizing the convenience functions.
  • a one-piece design of the extension offers the advantage that only one component has to be produced and assembly times and costs are eliminated.
  • the clutch lever and the extension are preferably made of plastic and are made in one piece as a plastic injection-molded component. Plastics also offer a high level of permanent elasticity and, given the large number of plastics available, they are also a suitable choice for transmitting the actuating forces for unlocking the main lock and secondary lock.
  • the extension is formed from a spring leg of a spring. If, for example, a leg spring is firmly connected to the clutch lever, a spring arm can also perform a comfort function in conjunction with the locking lever. In an advantageous manner, a cost-effective solution for a convenience function can be provided.
  • the motor vehicle door lock can be designed individually. If, for example, a vehicle user does not want a comfort function, individual adaptation can very easily be implemented by eliminating the spring. Due to the structure according to the invention and the use of a coupling lever, unlocking and comfort functions for an additional lock can be made available for an additional lock with the simplest of structural means and without significant changes in the main lock.
  • the Figure 1 shows a three-dimensional view of a motor vehicle door lock 1 in a basic position to a further motor vehicle door lock 2 in a sliding door 3 indicated in principle.
  • the motor vehicle door lock 1 forms the main lock in this arrangement, whereas the further motor vehicle door lock 2 forms the secondary lock.
  • the secondary lock can also be referred to as an additional lock.
  • a mechanical connection which can be a Bowden cable 4, for example, is shown in principle between the main lock and the additional lock 2.
