Definitions

  • the invention relates to a lamp base for a floor lamp, which stands on the floor and holds an upright mast on which the lamp is held.
  • Such floor lamps are well known. They have a lamp stand with high weight, to which an upright mast is attached. At the upper end of a lamp can be arranged with a lampshade or one or more spotlights or a ceiling washer. Power is supplied by a power cable that runs either in or out of the mast.
  • the luminaire body is therefore not above the lamp base, and the statics requires a relatively high weight of the lamp base, so that the floor lamp does not fall over.
  • the lamp base also has a relatively large footprint for good stability. It can therefore not be placed arbitrarily close to a wall or on a furniture side. Rather, the mast runs at a relatively large distance from the furniture.
  • the lamp base in the direction of the arch must have a large extension of the floor space, so that the floor lamp does not tip over. If the luminaire body is used to illuminate a workstation, this should be kept above the desk top, in order to effect a good illumination of the workplace. Of the curved mast then runs over the desk, and the light foot must have a relatively large footprint in the direction of the desk.
  • Lamp feet of the kind described are from the FR 2 813 380 A1 . DE 69 22 214 U . DE 200 14 035 U1 . DE 20 2006 006 652 U1 . EP 2 444 718 A2 and the US 1,684,925 A known.
  • the lamp feet are integrally formed, so that the lamp post attached thereto runs according to the dimensions of the lamp stand at a distance from a closed side wall and thus to the worktop of the associated table.
  • FR 2 813 380 A1 is described a lamp stand with integrated drawer.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a lamp base with which the installation of a floor lamp is also possible for desks with closed side walls, that the mast runs close to the table top.
  • the lamp base has a first foot part to which the mast is attached, and a second foot part, which is releasably or adjustably connected to the first foot part such that between the facing end faces of the foot parts a free space is formed, in which a furniture part fits, and that the first and the second foot part are connectable to each other via a connecting plate which extends parallel to the floor between the foot parts.
  • a connecting plate which extends parallel to the floor between the foot parts.
  • the lamp body is in a curved mast in about the center of the table top, so that it can be well lit.
  • a wide-angle light can radiate down to illuminate the entire table top.
  • the individual light sources can be adjusted independently of each other so that individual lighting can be created for a table. This is mainly due to the approximately central arrangement of the Luminaire body above the table top possible.
  • the advantage becomes particularly evident in open-plan offices.
  • the floor lamp can be placed very close to the desk in question. Then every workstation can be individually illuminated without any problems, so that everyone can create their desired working atmosphere. Nevertheless, the room layout remains flexible, since no permanently mounted ceiling lights in the area of a desk are required, which would have to be laid consuming when relocating a location. Rather, the floor lamp can be adjusted with the desk.
  • the connecting plate between the two foot parts is thin and has a thickness of 2 mm to 8 mm and in particular from 3 mm to 5 mm.
  • the distance between the underside of the connecting plate to the bottom is small and, for example, 1 mm to 5 mm and in particular 2 mm to 3 mm.
  • the connecting plate is arranged on the underside of the foot parts in each case a recess, so that a flat underside is formed. This ensures a safe standing of the floor lamp.
  • each foot can stand on four feet, and the connection plate does not interfere.
  • the recess may form a linear guide for the connection plate such that the foot parts are displaceable relative to one another.
  • the distance between the foot parts to each other and thus the clear dimension of the free space can be changed.
  • the connecting plate is preferably bolted to the foot parts.
  • the connecting plate can be connected via screw holes and screw holes in predetermined positions with the respective foot parts in order to form different sized free spaces.
  • the connecting plate has at least one and preferably two parallel elongated holes in order to connect the second foot part with the connecting plate at a freely selectable distance from the first foot part.
  • the mast can be connected directly to the first foot part.
  • the connection is not strong enough and breaks. It is therefore provided according to a preferred embodiment of the invention that the mast is held on an upright projection which is connected to the first foot part. As a result, the mast can be subsequently connected to the lamp stand. The assembly is facilitated.
  • the mast is hollow. Then it can be placed with its lower end on the upright projection.
  • the projection provides a good and wobble-proof hold of the mast on the footboard.
  • the mast then needs to be fixed, for example, only by a screw.
  • the power cables run.
  • the controls for the lamp are arranged in the mast. It is thus provided a slender mast without disturbing cables.
  • the upright projection may be integrally formed. Then it is useful if he has a cable channel for the power cable. The power cable then runs from the foot part through this channel in the hollow mast.
  • the projection is formed by two side by side extending projection parts which define a free space between them. In the free space then runs the power cable from the foot in the hollow mast. The preparation of such a projection without a cable channel is simpler and thus less expensive.
  • At least one cable channel is present to receive the power cable, which extends from a free end face of the lamp base to the upright projection for the mast.
  • the power cord is therefore no longer under the lamp stand but comes out on a front side of the lamp stand. A kinking of the power cable is thus reliably prevented.
  • the cable duct can run on the underside of the light foot. It can be provided that the cable channel opens into an upright channel in the projection or in the space between the projection parts. The power cord is therefore not visible on the lamp base.
  • the lamp base is provided on its upper side with a decorative plate.
  • the Cable channel can also be arranged on the top of the lamp base, as it is covered by the decorative plate.
  • the decorative panel can consist of a high-quality and visually appealing material.
  • the lamp base as such may consist of a heavy cast metal.
  • the mast and the decorative panel can be matched to each other and, for example, be made of brushed aluminum or chrome. It is thus provided a visually pleasing appearance of the floor lamp.
  • the decorative panel is divided according to the division of the lamp base in a first and a second foot part in a first and second decorative panel section. This ensures that the lamp stand is completely covered by the decorative plate regardless of the selected distance between the foot parts.
  • the decorative panel or at least the second decorative panel portion is detachably connected to the lamp base.
  • the attachment means e.g. Screws, accessible from the bottom of the lamp base, so that the visible free surface of the decorative plate has no holes or in the mounted position no screw heads and thus a closed surface that is visually appealing.
  • the decorative plate is held by magnets on the foot part parallel to the flat side slidably.
  • the decorative panel can be pushed directly and without gaps on the side walls.
  • the decorative plate is preferably slightly larger than that foot part so that it is still completely covered.
  • the lamp base is preferably made of a ferrous material with a high specific weight, so that a good level of the floor lamp is effected.
  • the decorative panel may be made of a lighter material or plastic. If both parts are magnetic, the magnets can be arranged for example on the underside of the decorative plate or on top of the lamp base.
  • the floor lamp shown in the drawing has a lamp base 11 to which an upright mast 12 is attached. At the upper end of the mast 12, a lamp body 13 is arranged with light sources not shown.
  • the mast 12 extends in its upper portion bent, and the lamp body 13 forms an extension of the horizontal portion of the mast 12. In the plan view, the lamp body 13 is located next to the lamp stand. Due to the large height of the mast, the protruding lamp body and the relatively high weight of the lamp body, high tilting moments act on the lamp base.
  • the lamp base 11 must therefore have a high weight so that the floor lamp does not fall over. Also, the lamp base must have a large footprint so that the floor lamp does not wobble.
  • the side cheek is often formed as a stable plate which is perpendicular to the ground and carries a table top.
  • the illustrated lamp base is formed in two parts and has a first foot part 14 and a second foot part 15. At the first foot part 14 of the mast 12 is attached.
  • the second foot part 15 is connected via a connecting plate 16 with the first foot part 14 such that between the facing end faces 17, 18 of the foot parts 15, 16, a free space 19 is formed. In this space 19 fits the in FIG. 3 Dashed side wall 20 of a piece of furniture, such as a desk.
  • the two foot parts 14, 15 are adjacent to each other with their flat sides on the horizontal floor and are connected via the connecting plate 16 extending parallel to the floor leaving the free space 19 or abutting each other.
  • the stability of the lamp base is not affected. Rather, the floor lamp is stable on the lamp base 11, especially since the base surface and thus the tilting moment receiving surface in the plan view is further shifted in the direction of the lamp body 13.
  • the lamp base can thus be placed under the furniture, such as a desk, even when the side cheek 20 is closed such that the mast 12 is close to the table top.
  • the lamp body 13 is then located approximately in the center above the table top and can illuminate this well.
  • the mast 12 is held to the first leg 14 on an upright pedestal 21 which is inserted into the hollow mast 12.
  • the base 21 sucks into the mast 12, so that the mast is kept safe and wobble-free.
  • the base 21 may be bolted to the first foot part 14.
  • the base 21 on the underside threaded holes, and the first foot part is provided with matching through holes 22.
  • the mast 12 may be fixed to the base 21 by means of a screw, not shown.
  • the connecting plate 16 between the foot parts 14, 15 is for example a flat metal plate, which is recessed in recesses 23, 24 on the underside of the respective foot parts 14, 15.
  • the first foot part 14 is screwed to the one end of the connecting plate 16.
  • the second foot part 15 has a plurality of threaded holes 25 which are arranged in two parallel rows.
  • the connecting plate 16 has at least one pair of bores 26, so that the distance between the foot parts and thus the size of the free space 19 is adjustable. In principle, it is also possible that the connecting plate 16 has two parallel elongated holes along the longitudinal extent, so that an arbitrary adjustment of the distance between the foot parts 14, 15 is possible.
  • the lamp base 11 is divided before setting up, and the individual foot parts 14, 15 are connected to each other via the connecting plate 16 with a distance from each other, that the side cheek 20 fits into the free space 19. Then the Side cheek 20 placed in the space 19 so that the floor lamp runs very close to the table top. It allows a space-saving installation of the floor lamp next to the desk.
  • cable channels 27 are present, which extend from one end face 28, 29, 30 of the lamp base 11 to the receptacle 31 for the upright base 21 and there opens into the hollow mast 12 via a channel, not shown.
  • the power cord can thus be hidden from the socket to the lamp body.
  • the cable channels 27 may extend on the underside of the lamp base 11.
  • the lamp base 11 shown in the drawing is also provided with an upper decorative plate 32.
  • the decorative panel 32 is subdivided into a first decorative panel section 34 and a second decorative panel section 33 in accordance with the division of the lamp leg 11.
  • the decorative panel 32 forms the optically appealing upper end of the lamp base 11.
  • the first decorative panel section 34 has an opening in the region of the base 21.
  • the cable channel 27 can then also run on top of the lamp base, as these and thus the cable channel is covered in the mounted position by the decorative plate.
  • the first decorative panel section 34 may be fixedly connected to the first foot part 14, especially since it is fixed anyway by the base 21 for the lamp post 12.
  • the decorative plate 32 and in particular the second decorative panel section 33 can be held by magnets on top of the lamp base 11.
  • at least the second decorative panel section 33 remains displaceable parallel to the upper side of the second foot part 15. It is thus possible, the To push decor panel section 33 directly to the side wall 20 of the furniture. There is thus no gap left.
  • Each foot part 14, 15 may have on its underside four feet 35 made of elastic material.
  • the feet 35 are preferably formed flat and have a height of 1 mm to 2 mm.
  • the connecting plate 16 has a thickness of, for example, 3 mm.
  • the connecting plate 16 is flush with the bottom of the foot parts 14, 15, so that the top of the connecting plate is 4 mm to 5 mm above the ground.
  • the side cheeks 20 also typically have felt feet or like feet at each corner such that the underside of the side cheeks extend a distance from the floor, which is typically greater than the distance of the top of the tie plate 16 to the floor.
  • the furniture can then be placed in the free space 19 without wobbling. With a carpet, this is possible anyway.
