Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a transport module for transporting railway sleepers on a railway carriage, having an elongate support frame defining a support for the railway sleepers to be transported, and means for releasably securing the support frame to the railway carriage.
  • threshold transports are carried out as far as possible track-bound, for example by means of so-called threshold cars.
  • These are special freight wagons whose car frames are equipped with wooden planks as a threshold support and with side rails for a gantry crane.
  • the provision and use of such special railway cars is associated with relatively high costs.
  • the use of a separate from the railway carriage transport module is advantageous in that the railroad car in itself as a standard goods wagon, z. B. as a container wagon, can be executed. This eliminates the high costs typically associated with the re-registration of a special rail vehicle, and the rail car can be used for other purposes once the transport module has been removed.
  • the frame longitudinal axis is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the carriage when the support frame of the transport module is mounted on the associated railway car.
  • the support frame of the transport module should extend over as much of the loading area as possible.
  • large transport modules are difficult to handle.
  • transport modules which have a standard length of 60 feet (18.288 m), commonly available on construction sites dredgers or raised only under difficult conditions.
  • Another disadvantage of such threshold transport modules is that a Verladici is excluded on shorter railway cars and thus always have to be available train car of a given length in sufficient numbers.
  • EP 2 412 598 A1 discloses a transport platform for track construction material, which is fastened by means of a fastening device to a container car.
  • the transport platform has end stanchions and side rails for a gantry crane. For storage or transfer of the transport platform, the stanchions can be folded.
  • the WO 2011/023868 A1 discloses a heavy load road transport vehicle that can be assembled in a modular manner from various components.
  • a central transport frame of the vehicle comprises a center module and two end modules which can be coupled to one another at interfaces.
  • the composite transport frame can be equipped with different suspension components as well as with a drawbar or a cab depending on the application.
  • the loading racks each have a rectangular frame with stanchions provided at the corners thereof and can be fastened at different positions of the railway carriage by means of the existing standard container fasteners.
  • the stanchions are by means of screws to the attached Runge shoes so that they can be replaced if necessary.
  • the support frame is subdivided along the frame longitudinal axis into at least two separate subassemblies which are detachably connected to one another.
  • the individual modules can be easily lifted, transferred and / or stored in an unconnected state as an undivided transport module.
  • the division of a support frame of 60 feet length in two assemblies of 30 feet in length or in three assemblies of 20 feet in length with a significant improvement in the handling of the transport module is accompanied.
  • the modules can be transported if necessary with comparatively short railway cars, so that therefore the flexibility is increased.
  • the assemblies can be assembled by means of suitable fasteners such as screws in horizontal juxtaposition to a transport module.
  • An advantage of using comparatively short assemblies is that they can be easily stacked when needed and transported with standard container trucks. This is z. B. in a module of 60 feet in length only possible with the use of special trucks or trailers or low loaders.
  • the support frame is divided into three separate modules. These assemblies may constitute a front end assembly, a rear end assembly, and a mid-assembly therebetween relative to the state mounted on the railway car.
  • a subdivision into three modules results in a particularly favorable combination of ease of handling and avoiding excessive assembly and disassembly work.
  • the separate assemblies with respect to the frame longitudinal axis each have the same length.
  • the modules can thus be stored in a uniform manner, stacked and provided for assembly.
  • An embodiment of the invention provides that the separate assemblies with respect to the frame longitudinal axis each have a length of about 6 m. This corresponds to one of the default values for the length of standard 20-foot containers. Three such 20 foot assemblies will string together a 60 foot transport module while four 20 foot assemblies will provide an 80 foot transport module. Thus, by means of 20-foot assemblies, both transport modules for 60-foot container wagons and transport modules for 80-foot container wagons can be created, resulting in a high degree of flexibility overall.
  • An alternative embodiment of the invention provides that the separate assemblies with respect to the frame longitudinal axis each have a length of about 30 feet (9.144 m). Such assemblies can generally be lifted with common excavators.
  • container corner fittings may be provided for releasably securing the assembly on a container car.
  • Such container corner fittings are also referred to as "corner castings" and allow quick and easy anchoring of the relevant assembly on a - corresponding pin having - railway cars, trucks or ships.
  • the support frame of a transport module according to the invention can form the specifications of a standard container, in particular of a standard container standardized according to ISO 668, at least on one base area. As a result, the cost of transport can be kept very low.
  • rails for a gantry crane are provided on each of the separate assemblies, wherein, preferably, in each case the ends of the rails of two adjacent assemblies coupled to each other, in particular screwed together, are.
  • gantry crane sleepers can be loaded or reloaded in an effective manner on the transport module.
  • respective overbridges may be provided on the end-side modules, as they are basically known.
  • the support frame defines a receiving space for railroad tracks, which extends substantially along the entire length of the support frame.
  • both the sleepers and the rails of a newly created track section can be transported to the associated construction site.
  • old sleepers and old rails of a track section to be reconstructed can be transported away with one and the same transport module.
  • the receiving space may be open to at least one - with respect to the frame longitudinal axis front or rear - front side of the support frame to allow axial insertion of railroad tracks in the receiving space or pulling out of railroad tracks from the receiving space.
  • the receiving space to the top of the support frame may be open to allow a lifting of railroad tracks in the receiving space or lifting railroad tracks out of the receiving space after any removal of the thresholds located above.
  • the length of the rails may be limited to the length of the transport module or the associated railway car. Alternatively, longer rails can be transported across several transport modules or railway cars.
  • the receiving space has a width measured transversely to the longitudinal axis of the frame of at least 1.20 m and particularly preferably of at least 1.35 m.
  • a width measured transversely to the longitudinal axis of the frame of at least 1.20 m and particularly preferably of at least 1.35 m.
  • at least eight railway rails designed according to the UIC 60 standard profile can be accommodated next to one another, which is favorable in terms of the ratio of rails to sleepers.
  • the support frame may have two transversely spaced to the frame longitudinal axis and each extending parallel to the longitudinal axis of the frame longitudinal beams, between which the receiving space is formed, wherein the longitudinal members each have a height of at least 170 mm. This height is sufficient for accommodation according to the UIC 60 standard profile Rail tracks off.
  • the support frame may have a carriage-side base frame, on which the trained for laying sleepers side rails are attached. The rails to be transported can then be placed resting on the base frame between the longitudinal members.
  • Support rollers for railroad tracks may be provided on an underside of the receiving space. This facilitates the insertion of rails in the receiving space or the extraction of rails from the receiving space.
  • the support rollers may be mounted on a carriage-side base frame of the support frame. It is advantageous if a plurality of support rollers distributed over the length of the transport module are provided.
  • the support rollers are blockable with respect to the rolling movement and / or moved out of the receiving space.
  • the rails to be transported can be secured during transport.
  • the support rollers could be lowered with respect to a support surface for the rails.
  • a receiving space can be provided on at least one outer longitudinal side and preferably on both outer longitudinal sides of the support frame holding devices for railroad tracks. This makes it possible to carry rails for the sleepers to be transported laterally on the transport module.
  • the support for the railway sleepers to be transported can be formed by bearing elements made of a friction-increasing material, in particular of wood. This ensures a secure hold.
  • bearing elements made of a friction-increasing material, in particular of wood. This ensures a secure hold.
