  • the Drehfal le of a Kraftfahrzeu g. usually ü ü has a fork formed by load arm and catch arm Einl ufschlitz (also called inlet mouth) into which the locking bolt of a vehicle door or flap, such as bonnet or trunk flap comes when the door or flap is closed.
  • Einl ufschlitz also called inlet mouth
  • the locking pin or lock holder then rotates the catch from an opening position to the closed position until the pawl locks the catch. This position is called detent position.

  • a release lever for opening or releasing the locking mechanism. If the release lever is actuated, the blockage lever is thereby moved out of its blocking position when the release lever is not excessively accelerated. If excessively high accelerations of the release lever occur, as can be caused by a crash, then blocking the shock prevents the release lever from moving the blocking lever out of its blocking position. Therefore, the lock can not open if the release lever in the event of a crash is accelerated accordingly strong.

  • the portion of the blocking contour portion 32 which is engageable with the pawl 4 at least a quarter, more preferably at least half of the contour portion 32. This ensures sufficient coverage of the engaging elements, so that the locking generally improved is protected against impulses or shocks, in particular in the event of a crash.
  • the rotation can be useful with the above-mentioned locking device formed as part of a castle. All above-mentioned embodiments of the locking device therefore apply correspondingly in regard to the proposed anti-twist device and a lock designed for a motor vehicle.
