Definitions

  • the invention relates to a suction float for removing liquid and / or foam-like contaminants on surfaces of liquids. Furthermore, the invention relates to a collecting device with a Absaugschwimmer and a collecting vessel.
  • Impurities on surfaces of liquids can be liquid or foamy.
  • impurities are substances such as oil, crude oil, bound oil, foams, chemicals or impurities of all kinds, as well as garbage, the impurities being on the liquid, for example water or the like in engine work tanks, water tanks, settling tanks, ponds, lakes, rivers or seas , swim or float.
  • Ponds are contaminated, for example, by leaves or other plant residues.
  • machine basins can contain cooling fluids that are contaminated with oils or the like during the work process.
  • Standard means for extracting contaminants on surfaces of liquids are, for example, vacuum pumps, which suck off large quantities of liquid in addition to the actual contaminants.
  • absorbents such as binders or natural fibers, such as cotton used to bind the impurities and later to fish in firmer bound form.
  • oil separators or light liquid or gasoline separators are known, which deposit the impurities from the liquid in a corresponding subsequent treatment plant so as to remove the impurities located on surfaces of liquids.
  • Floating oil on the surface of the water can be picked up by special ships, folding ships, conventionally designed ships with outriggers, catamarans or mixed constructions with catamaran foredeck.
  • a double hull ship "Thor” is known that opens both halves of the ship from the bow up to 65 degrees to oil intake, creating an open triangle is formed, in which the oil collects.
  • the oil is forced through weir openings in both halves of the ship and transported by separators with the charge pumps in the cargo tanks.
  • the actual pick-up devices are based on the principle of a weir that is overflowed by the oil layer or oil-absorbing rotating rollers or brushes with scrapers that absorb the impurities.
  • the still water-containing oil is further purified by means of separators, the water being largely separated.
  • separators For low and high oil viscosities partially different pumping systems are used.
  • a skimmer is a device in man-made lakes, garden ponds or swimming pools and other liquid containers, which sucks the dirt from the water surface. Dust, leaves, oil or other contaminants cause the pond / lake water to be enriched with too many nutrients from the outside and thus become cloudy and cloudy. A skimmer in a pond or lake prevents this process and does not allow the surface contamination to cloud the water. In larger bodies of water, a correspondingly larger number of extraction points will be installed. Skimmers can also be used to clean, for example, cooling water. Skimmers have a pipe with a large diameter built into the liquid vertically, wherein the diameter of the pipe is made larger / wider than the water surface. Through a pipe connection to which a suction pump is connected and in front of which a coarse dirt filter or a screen is attached, the suction of the contaminants from the surface of the liquid.
