- the structure of the surface of the floor covering is defined. The longer and the finer the sanding, the smoother the surface becomes.
- Commercially available parquet sanding machines can be used here.
- Sanding dust does not have to be completely removed because of the still subsequent processing step, in which the surface of the pad is preferably sealed with an aqueous varnish. The remaining sanding dust combines with this material and fills in the smaller open spots. After evaporation of the water (maximum 24 hours), the flooring can be loaded. Bumps are no longer visible. The cork flooring is impact resistant.
