- the translation continues until the assembly formed by the two upper planing crews 20 and lower 46 abuts against the two L-shaped locking bars 36.
- each of the hooks 22 of the upper leveling crew 20 is engaged with a hook 40 of the overturning device 10 and, the imaginary rectangle defining respectively the position of the hooks 22 of the upper leveling crew 20 and the position of the complementary hooks 40 of the turning device 10 are superimposed or even merged. It is therefore possible that the imaginary rectangles defining respectively the position of the hooks 22 of the upper leveling crew 20 and the position of the complementary hooks 40 of the turning device 10 have the same dimensions. We are then in the position represented in figure 2 .
- the drive means in vertical translation of the sliders 18 are then controlled to drive the sliders 18 and thus the frame 16 upwards.
- the upper leveling crew 20 being engaged with the chassis 26 is also driven upwards and is separated from the lower planing unit 46. It is then in the position shown in FIGS. figures 3 and 4 . In this position, the hooks 22 of the planing equipment 20 are engaged with the hooks 40 of the turning device 10 which support the entirety of the mass of the upper planing equipment 20, this mass being worth several tens of tons.
- the transfer cylinder 54 then pulls the platform 50 to another area of the leveling installation so that the bottom planing unit 46 is ground.
- the vertical translation drive means 38 of the sliders 18 are controlled to drive the sliders 18 and thus the frame 16 in vertical translation downwards. We are in the position represented in figure 5 .
- the upper leveling equipment 20 rotates 180 degrees clockwise from a first position in which the rollers 43 of the upper leveling equipment 20 are oriented downward, to a second position in which the rollers 43 of the planing equipment 20 are oriented upwards.
- An intermediate position of the planing crew having rotated 90 degrees is represented at figure 6 .
- the drive means in vertical translation of the sliders 18 are controlled to drive the sliders 18 and thus the frame 16 in vertical translation down to a low position allowing an operator to have access to planing rollers of the upper crew 20 or allowing its gripping by a handling machine for evacuation to another area of the installation.
