  • connection adapters are used for example for connecting power supply lines to lights. It may happen that the power supply cable is under voltage. This is dangerous for the fitter and especially problematic when the luminaire connection is performed by a non-specialist.
  • EP 0 889 550 B1 describes a two-part electrical connection with a sliding protective cover, which provides protection against contact of the connected conductors for one of the two connectors.
  • the protective cover is attached to the outer housing Flap formed, which is pivoted by engagement in an inclined track of the mating connector.
  • a similar flap mechanism for contact protection of a plug is in the DE 103 36 082 A1 described. Again, the other part of the connector pair is not protected.
  • Connection systems without a contact protection are in a variety of configurations, for example from the DE 102 36 398 B3 , of the DE 100 11 613 A1 , of the US 3,860,739 A1 , of the US 2002/0064039 A1 and the US 5,015,203 known.
  • EP 1 150 399 B1 discloses a multipolar electrical terminal connector with a touch guard to prevent access to at least a portion of the lead terminals of one of the terminal units when the lead terminals of the other terminal unit corresponding to these lead terminals are occupied.
  • the flap is arranged on the outer housing in front of the connector access and is connected via a lifting mechanism with a further flap of the associated conductor terminal of the other terminal unit,
