Definitions
- the invention relates to a joint seal and a method for producing the same, according to the preamble of claims 1 and 9.
- joint seal according to the preamble of claim 1 known.
- This in itself already advantageous joint seal consists of a made of flexible material sealing strip, which corresponds to the cross-sectional contour of an otherwise drawn with soft silicone paste and cured seal joint approximately.
- the prefabrication of such a joint from an already dried silicone material creates a joint with an enormous uniformity.
- a so-called stretch-resistance element in the form of a thread or a plastic strip.
- the invention is therefore an object of the invention to improve an already advantageous joint seal of the generic type in that on the one hand a faster processing is possible and on the other hand, a high sealing effect can be achieved.
- the core of the invention in the joint seal itself is that the outside to be applied to a wall region, or to be applied outer sides of the sealing strip is already provided with a combined adhesive and sealant, which is covered with an adhesively adhesive and removable for use cover sheet.
- the sealant which is at the same time adhesive mass is already applied to the en Maschinenenden outer sides of the joint seal before. In other words, this means that can be dispensed with the previous application of an additional sealant in the joint into which the joint seal is then inserted.
- This also has the important advantage that one operation is sufficient alone when laying the joint seal.
- a clean and uniform joint can be formed because no sealant can quillen over the edge when pressed. This is already prevented by an absolutely uniform amount of adhesive and sealant is applied to the jointing.
- the combined adhesive and sealant is plastically deformable or flowable under slight pressure. This ensures that a uniform distribution of the sealant is achieved by pressing the joint seal. The joint seal then sits clean and firm, and also over the entire laying length uniformly and reproducibly close in the joint.
- the combined adhesive / sealant adheres more strongly to the joint seal, than on the wall.
- butyl that is, that the combined adhesive / sealant consists of a butyl-consisting mass or mixed with Buthylkleber mass.
- the outer surface of the adhesive / sealant below the peelable masking tape is smooth and is covered by a likewise smooth masking tape. As a result, a good adhesive surface is created, in particular for smooth wall surfaces.
- An alternative to this is the structuring of the adhesive surface, so that the outer surface of the adhesive / sealant below the peelable cover strip with raised regular ridges and recessed grooves is surface structured, so that when pressing the sealing tape to the wall sections next to the joint first begin the areas of the webs to flow, and then the remaining cross-sectional contour of the combined adhesive / sealant.
- a good distribution ie a good flow of the sealant is achieved when pressing, resulting in a good grip of the joint seal even on rougher wall surfaces.
- the web and groove structure is formed by a correspondingly complementary structured masking tape, which is substantially dimensionally stable with respect to the adhesive / sealant.
- This masking tape is then pressed in the production subsequent to the adhesive / sealant, so that this structure transmits complementary.
- the cover strip is so oversized in its width that it extends over the edges of the Sealing tape protrudes. As a result, the cover strip during processing or assembly of the joint seal is easier solvable.
- the core of the invention is that the compound made of silicone joint is polar activated in a continuous process by a plasma treatment (corona process) on the surface, and then the combined adhesive / sealant of butyl, or a butyl-containing adhesive on the Applied joint sealant and the applied mass is covered with an adhesive also in the continuous process unrolled masking tape adhesive.
- silicone surfaces are not adhesive.
- the corresponding outer surface on which the compound is applied is treated beforehand in a plasma process.
- This method known per se also known as corona process, is applied here according to the invention to the joint seal in order to activate the silicone surface in a polar manner, so that the adhesive / sealant subsequently adheres extremely well to it; contrary to the otherwise intrinsic property of the solid silicone, that it does not adhere.
- the joint seal is driven lengthwise through a device in which only over a very small air gap, a plasma path is generated, through which the joint seal is pulled.
- the adhesive / sealant is then applied and thus not only adheres extremely well to the joint seal, but it achieves the effect that the adhesive / sealant adheres more strongly to the joint seal than on the wall part of the joint.
- the butyl compound or the butyl-containing compound is rolled off a rolled-up carrier immediately after the plasma treatment of the joint seal and applied to the joint seal. This is a machine very easy to perform function.
- the Buthylmasse, or the buthyl Web mass immediately after the plasma treatment of the joint seal is applied via spray nozzles on the joint seal.
- the adhesive / sealant need not be prefabricated, for example, by previous application to a carrier tape, which is then unrolled.
- the joint seal is annealed thermally before the plasma treatment. So it comes to a dimensionally stable joint seal.
- FIG. 1 shows the joint seal 1 with its cross-sectional profile 2.
- the joint seal is made of solid silicone.
- the anti-directional element runs in the form of a thread 3. This prevents the joint seal 1 is inadvertently stretched during handling, and undergoes a profile change by constriction by the extension.
- the joint seal 1 At the corresponding outer sides of the joint seal 1 over the entire length with the combined adhesive / sealant 4 is provided.
- This preferably consists of butyl or a butyl adhesive, or a Mass that contains at least butyl. So that this mass 4 permanently holds on the corresponding outer surfaces of the joint seal, the joint seal and the attachment of the adhesive / sealant 4 is applied by a specific method.
- the joint seal is initially produced in an extrusion process as quasi endless material or in long strands.
- liquid silicone is injected through a profiled nozzle, which forms the contour 2 of the joint seal.
- the thus injected raw seal is then tempered so that the silicone material is crosslinked and thus firm.
- the solid joint seal is surface treated by the plasma process. At least on those surfaces that should be provided with the adhesive / sealant 4. This is done for the reason to be able to apply the adhesive / sealant 4 permanently. In this way, however, the functional indication of claim 3 is realized, namely, that then adheres the adhesive / sealant 4 stronger on the joint seal 1 than on the wall to which the joint seal is adhered.
- a plasma is generated at only a small distance from the surface, whereby the relevant surface of the joint seal is activated polar.
- the order of the adhesive / sealant 4, and then the only adhesive cover with a masking tape which is removed before processing the seal on site again.
- FIG. 2 shows in cross section the joint seal 1 in the mounted end position.
- the adhesive / sealant 4 is voluminous and thus not only allows sticking of the joint seal, but a conclusive sealing.
- FIG. 3 shows a side view of a portion of the joint seal 1.
- the adhesive / sealant 4 may be provided with a smooth surface and be provided with a smooth masking tape 6.
- the surface of the adhesive / sealant 4 but also with topographic grooves 5 are structured by a correspondingly structured masking tape is used. This is then lightly pressed against the soft and flowable adhesive / sealant during manufacture.
- the complementary structures 5 remain in the surface of the adhesive / sealant. 4
- the surface of the adhesive / sealant 4 should be smooth or grooved depends on the particular substrate on which the joint seal is to be processed, as stated above.
