Definitions
- the present invention relates to a U-shaped support profile for forming a light channel according to the preamble of claim 1 and a light channel system.
- FIGS. 14 and 15 A known light channel system, which is sold by the applicant under the name "Canal" is in the FIGS. 14 and 15 shown.
- the basic framework of this light channel system forms an elongated support profile 100 which is open towards the underside and which is inserted into the opening of a ceiling or suspended from a ceiling by steel cables.
- a through-wiring 101 Within the supporting profile 100 there is a through-wiring 101, which contains power supply lines and data lines for the various luminaires.
- the support profile 100 is subdivided into a plurality of so-called module fields into which light inserts 103 to 105 or luminaire modules are inserted.
- the light insert 103 has, for example, a radiator 106, which can be pivoted by means of a gimbal 107 about a perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the support profile 100 and the light insert 103 extending axis I.
- the light insert 103 is formed such that it is pivotable as a whole about a parallel to the longitudinal axis of the support profile 100 extending further axis II.
- the radiator 106 can be pivoted almost continuously out of a horizontal plane and directed individually to an object to be illuminated. The total achieved lighting can thus be adapted individually and easily to changing conditions.
- the flexibility of the light channel system is additionally increased by the fact that different light inserts are available, which can be used in the module fields of the support profile 100.
- the in Fig. 14 illustrated light insert 104 has, for example, a compact fluorescent lamp with which a particular area can be irradiated over a large area.
- Analogous to the previously described Light insert 103 with the radiator 106 and the light insert 104 is pivotable about an axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the support profile 100 extending axis.
- Another light insert 105 has, for example, two radiators 106, which are mounted pivotably in a manner similar to the individual radiator 106 of the first light insert 103.
- the different light inserts are easily interchangeable. If, for example, the spatial situation or the furnishing changes within the room to be illuminated, a now inappropriate luminaire insert can be replaced without much effort by another, which enables a better illumination.
- the individual supporting profiles 100 can be lined up individually to a light channel structure adapted to the room to be illuminated.
- Another light channel system which has a U-shaped support profile and lamp modules, wherein the lamp modules are arranged on or in the open side of the support profile.
- the present invention is generally based on the object to further develop the known light channel systems such that a simple and secure handling of the system and a further increased flexibility in the design of the light channel and the illumination achieved.
- the prior art is to be further developed so that at the same time a tilted or a ceiling-mounted mounting of the lamp modules in the support section is possible.
- Main idea of the invention to solve the above object is to form the support profile such that the lighting modules can be arranged in several different depths within the support profile. This is achieved in that the support profile has on its inside several, arranged at different depths engaging elements, which allow a latched mounting of the lamp module.
- the free choice of installation depth ensures a further improved illumination of the room to be illuminated because - when the lighting modules are in the lowest position - the adjustment of the individual lights can be fully utilized. If, however, the lighting modules sunk deeper into the support profile, it is possible to provide the underside of the light channel with additional light influencing means such as grids or colored cover plates, whereby a variety of design options for the light channel are available.
- the side walls preferably have a sawtooth-shaped profile with a plurality of undercuts, which form the engagement elements for holding the lamp modules and lock with provided on the lamp modules holding pawls.
- the support profile is preferably designed in three parts and consists of two separate side elements, which are connected to each other via a yoke-like connecting element. The advantage of this multi-part design is that the individual parts can be easily cut off and thus adjusted individually to a desired length.
- the support profile according to the invention can be suspended by means of steel cables attached to a ceiling or alternatively sunk in a ceiling.
- the light modules provided for use in the support profile can have the same adjustment or pivoting possibilities as are already known from the prior art.
- a lamp module is provided with a radiator, which is rotatably mounted relative to the housing of the lamp module and additionally pivotable about a horizontal axis.
- the lamp module has a locking mechanism by which the radiator in the event that the lamp module is not arranged in the outermost position on the support profile, is held in a rotational position in which the pivot axis of the radiator in parallel lies to the longitudinal axis of the lamp module or the support profile.
- the radiator can thus be adjusted in all directions only when the lamp module is in the lowest position, whereas in a partially or completely submerged arrangement of the radiator in the support profile pivoting is limited or completely suppressed. This avoids that the radiator is directed to the inner region of the support profile and thus provides for overheating of the light channel. The reliability of the entire system is thereby significantly increased.
- the locking mechanism preferably comprises two latches on which pins are arranged which, in an extended position of the latches, block the pivot for the radiator.
- the side walls of the support profile have in their lower regions corresponding recesses, which allow extension of the bolt precisely when the lamp module is arranged in the outermost position.
- the recesses for the holding pawls with which the lamp module is locked in the support profile, the recesses for the latch of the locking mechanism, however, are provided only in the lowest position.
- this release mechanism is actuated by means of a push button and causes a displacement of its associated holding pawls in an unlocked position and thus releasing the locking of the lamp module with the support profile.
- This is preferably achieved by forming the pushbutton by a slider having a plurality of obliquely arranged or oblique edges having openings cooperating with pins arranged on the retaining pawls in a suitable manner.
- the same mechanism can also be used to release the lock of the swivel for the radiator.
- the pushbutton or the slider of the unlocking mechanism according to the invention is preferably accessible from the outside. This is particularly advantageous in the light channel system of the present invention, since the luminaire modules can be arranged very deep within the support profile, so that it is difficult to accomplish a release of the modules with a tool.
- the unlocking mechanism according to the invention thus contributes to an easy handling of the entire system.
- FIGS. 1 and 2 illustrated first embodiment of a supporting profile 1 according to the invention is provided for a rimless and flush-mounted installation.
- This variant is therefore suitable, for example, for installation in smooth plaster ceilings or other ceilings with a homogeneous bottom view.
- the support profile 1 has a downwardly open U-shape with two side walls 2 and a bottom side 3.
- the two side walls 2 and the bottom side 3 are each formed by separate parts, which are modularly assembled to the U-shaped structure.
- the side parts 2 on their upper sides an arcuate profile 4, in the clamping projections 5 of the yoke-like connecting part 3, which forms the bottom side of the supporting profile 1, engage.
- the advantage of this multi-part design is that the side parts 2 and the connecting element 3 considered by itself are very flat and therefore in a simple manner - for example, at the installation site itself by means of a chop saw - can be cut or cut to a desired length. As a result, support profiles can be created in individual lengths without much effort.
- the two side parts 2 have in their lower part a sawtooth-shaped structure with a plurality of superimposed recesses 6, wherein a stop forming bearing surfaces 6a each delimit each sawtooth to the outside.
- these recesses 6 constitute engagement elements, in which corresponding holding pawls of the lamp modules to be inserted into the support profile 1 can engage.
- At the lower end of the side walls 2 is also an additional smaller recess 7, whose function will also be explained below.
- connection elements and plugs or contact elements 8 are arranged as taps at regular intervals, via which a connection can be made from the cable tracks to the light modules used in the support profile 1.
- the luminaire modules themselves have a corresponding connection cable, which has a sufficient length, so that a free arrangement of the luminaire modules in the longitudinal direction of the support profile 1 is made possible.
- a cover plate 9 can be inserted into the support profile 1, which is clamped between two projections 10 of the two side elements 2.
- the rimless, flush-mounted installation of the support section 1 is carried out with the aid of a plurality of brackets 11, which are fastened to the ceiling 20 of the room and then to the support section 1 is screwed.
- the attachment of a retaining clip 11 on the ceiling 20 in turn takes place via two support brackets 12, which are bolted to the two side walls of the retaining clip 11.
- the support bracket 12 at its vertically upstanding legs 13 a hole pattern with a plurality of staggered holes 14, wherein the screwing of the support bracket 12 to the headband 11 on the correspondingly suitable Holes 14 takes place.
- two elongated plaster frame 16 are screwed even before screwing the retaining clip 11 to the ceiling plate 20, so that in the upper region of Fig. 2 shown arrangement results.
- This consisting of the headband 11, the two support brackets 12 and the plaster frame 16 unit is attached to the ceiling 20 and forms the framework for holding the support section 1, which is inserted and locked after removal of the handles 15 from the bottom.
- the provided on the side walls 2 and the bottom side 3 of the support section 1 longitudinal openings 18 and 21 also allow air circulation within the support section 1 and out of this and thus deriving the heat generated by the lamps.
- the retaining bracket 11 also has a stabilizing function and prevents lateral sideways pushing away of the two side walls 2 by increasing the transverse rigidity.
- FIG. 3 and 4 illustrated second variant of the support profile 1 according to the invention differs from that in the Fig. 1 and 2 illustrated embodiment in that here the support section 1 is suspended by means of steel cables 26 on a ceiling.
- two mounting brackets 25 are slid onto the outside of the bottom side 3 of the support section 1, which are fastened to the steel cables 26.
- the two side parts 2 of the support profile 1 have on their undersides outwardly projecting bearing surfaces 26 can be placed on the ceiling panels 27 a suspended ceiling.
- the support section 1 thus serves as a supporting element and takes the ceiling panels 27.
- a headband, as in the Fig. 1 and 2 is shown is at this second variant is no longer provided.
- a transverse rigidity-increasing bracket 28 is provided, which is attached to the support section 1.
- This second variant of the support profile 1 according to the invention is preferably used in ceiling systems that do not form a homogeneous visible surface by nature.
- both variants are however identical.
- Fig. 3 and 4 illustrated variant on the inner sides of the two side walls 2 a sawtooth-shaped profile, whereby different mounting depths are made possible for the lighting modules.
- FIG. 5 shows for this purpose an elongated luminaire module 30, which has a rod-shaped fluorescent tube 31 as a light source. Behind the fluorescent tube 31, a concave curved reflector 32 is arranged, which is held together with the fluorescent tube 31 by an arcuate elongate reflector housing 33.
- the reflector housing 33 is pivotably mounted in a frame housing 35 via a pivot mechanism having two curved guide rails 34, so that a pivoting of the lamp 31 together with the reflector 32 is made possible.
- the Figures 6a and 6b show different pivot positions of the reflector housing 33.
- the light generated by the lamp 31 is emitted laterally, which is desirable, for example, when illuminating walls or obliquely arranged below the light channel objects.
- the pivoted-in position shown the light emitted by the lamp 31 light is emitted homogeneously downwards.
- the reflector 32 may also be formed asymmetrically, whereby a better illumination of walls, which are arranged laterally of the light channel, is made possible.
- a compact fluorescent lamp may be provided as a light source, which extends only over part of the total length of the lamp module.
- the reflector housing accommodating the fluorescent lamp and, if necessary, again pivoting, can occupy only a part of the luminaire module 30, while in the other part of the luminaire module an electronic ballast for operating the fluorescent lamp is arranged, which in this case is then not pivoted with the lamp ,
- the holder of the lamp module 30 in the support section 1 is effected by means of holding pawls 40, which are respectively arranged in the two end regions of the lamp module 30 and protrude laterally. Such as in Fig. 1 is shown, these retaining pawls 40 are formed complementary to the undercuts 6 of the profile of the two side walls 2 and provide accordingly for a latching between the lamp module 30 and the support section 1.
- the lamp module 30 can be arranged due to the sawtooth-like structure of the side walls 2 in different mounting depths.
- Fig. 1 and 3 show the installation in the lowest, ceiling flush position in which the bottom of the lamp module 30 is at the same height as the underside of the ceiling 20, as well as in the lowest installation position in which the lamp module in the bottom side 3 of the support section 1 next Position is located.
- the holding pawls 40 are biased by a spring to the outside, so that they automatically lock with a suitable arrangement with respect to the undercuts 6 of the support section 1 with this.
- an independent release of the latching is prevented, so that the lamp modules 30 are securely held in the light channel.
- the release of the latching takes place by an unlocking mechanism, which will be described below with reference to FIGS. 7a and 7b should be explained.
- the Fig. 7a and 7b show the frontal areas of the in the Fig. 5 and 6 illustrated luminaire module 30, Fig. 7a in the assembled state and Fig. 7b in exploded view.
- the front area consists of a front plate 41 which is rigidly connected to the housing of the lamp module, and one on the end plate 41 by means of screws 43 but arranged opposite the end plate 41 up and down sliding slider 42.
- the movability of the slider 42 relative to the face plate 41 is defined by arranged in the end plate 42 elongated holes 44.
- the end plate 41 also serves to hold two retaining pawls 40, which are also mounted slidably in a longitudinal direction of the end plate 41 and biased by a compression spring 45 to the outside.
- two bars 47 are mounted in the end plate 41 parallel to the two holding pawls 40, however, for the attachment of the in the Fig. 5 and 6 shown lamp module 30 have no function.
- the two latches 47 are not biased outwards. The task of these two bars 47, at the in the Fig. 7a and 7b variant could also be dispensed with, will be explained in more detail below.
- Both the retaining pawls 40 and the latches 47 have inwardly projecting pins 46 and 48, respectively, which engage through corresponding apertures 49 and 50 in the slider 42, as shown in FIG Fig. 7a is shown.
- On the slider 42 is also another inwardly projecting pin 51, the function, however, will also be explained below.
- the operation of the Entriegelungsmechanismusses for releasing the locking between the support section 1 and the lamp module 30 is as follows. If no force is exerted on the slider 42, the two retaining pawls 40 are pressed by the compression spring 45 to the outside, so that the in Fig. 7a shown arrangement results. Now, if a force is exerted on the top of the slider 42 and this pressed down, the pins 46 cooperate with the obliquely arranged openings 49 of the slider 42 together so that the pins 46 are pressed inward and thus the retaining pawls 40 are retracted , A depression of the slider 42 thus causes a retraction of the retaining pawls 40 and thus releasing the latching with the support profile 1.
- the illustrated actuating mechanism thus allows a simple tool-free removal of arranged in the support profile lamp modules.
- no direct access to the locking elements is necessary for releasing the locking connection This is particularly advantageous if the lighting module was used very deep in the support section 1, since a release of the connection with tools is difficult to accomplish.
- additional (not shown) light influencing means such as grids or colored cover plates, whereby a variety of design options for the light channel are available.
- Fig. 8 shows two lamp modules 60 of another type, which is suitable for use in the support profile 1 according to the invention.
- the light source here serves a radiator 61 which is mounted rotatably and pivotally in an end region of the housing 62.
- the remaining area of the housing 62 is occupied by a control device (not shown) for operating the light source arranged in the emitter 61.
- the lamp 63 and the reflector 64 surrounding it are held together by a reflector housing 65, which is closed at the front with a ring 66.
- This ring 66 also serves to hold in front of the lamp 63 arranged discs, which may be, for example, color filters or space protection fuses.
- FIG. 9 An adjustment of the radiator 61 is made possible by a double joint, the closer in Fig. 9 is shown.
- a rotation of the radiator 61 relative to the housing 62 of the lamp module 60 is made possible by a first rotary joint consisting of two horizontal disks 66 and 67.
- the arranged on the outside of the housing 62 first disc 66 is in Fig. 8 represented and connected via four pins 68 with the second disc 67, which is arranged in the interior of the housing 62.
- Both discs 66 and 67 can be rotated with a small force relative to the housing 62 to bring the radiator 61 in a desired rotational position.
- a pivoting of the radiator 61 is made possible by an articulated arm 72 articulated on the inner disc 67. In this way, the radiator 61 can be aligned in any position on an object to be illuminated.
- the radiator 61 is at least partially or even completely within the light channel in the event that the lamp module 60 was mounted very deep in the support section 1. If the radiator 61 were then pivoted so that it irradiated the inner region of the support profile 1, so this would lead to an undesirable heating of this. For this reason, the in Fig. 9 Luminaire module 60 shown on a special locking mechanism that limits an adjustment of the radiator 61 in a suitable manner, so that the case described above can not occur.
- FIG. 9 Another component of the locking mechanism for blocking the adjustment of the radiator 61 is further from the horizontal disc 67 of the pivot vertically upstanding edge 69, which has two opposing notches 70 and four elongated openings 71, the arrangement in Fig. 9 is shown. These notches 70 and openings 71 together with the pins 48 of the latch 47 and arranged on the slider 42 pin 51, the locking mechanism, which will be described below with reference to Figures 11 and 12 should be explained.
- Fig. 11a shows the arranged in the support section 1 lamp module 60 in section
- Fig. 11b the present in this case arrangement of the pins 48 and 51 with respect to the disc 67 in supervision.
- the lamp module 60 is in the lowermost position within the support section 1, so that the retaining pawls 40 engage in the lowermost recess 6 of the sawtooth-like profile of the two side parts 2 of the support section 1.
- the two bars 47 are arranged in the amount of smaller recesses 7 and are pressed by the spring force of the compression spring 73 to the outside, so that they engage in these recesses 7.
- the slider 42 is thereby in its uppermost position relative to the housing 62.
- a release of the locking between the lamp module 60 and the support section 1 is thus only possible if the radiator 61 has previously been brought into a predetermined by the arrangement of the notches 70 rotational position.
- This rotational position is characterized in that the pivot axis of the radiator 61 is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the support section 1, so that - as later with reference to Fig. 13a to 13c is explained, in a recessed arrangement of the lamp module 60, the adjustment of the spotlight 61 are limited by the support section 1.
- the lamp module 60 can be removed from the support section 1 or placed in a lower position in the support section 1, as for example in Fig. 12a the case is.
- the retaining pawls 40 are pressed by spring force back out into the corresponding undercuts 6 of the sawtooth-like profile, so that the lamp module 60 is locked to the support section 1 again.
- the two bars 47 no longer drive completely out of the front region of the luminaire module 60, since the upper region of the profile of the side walls 2 has no opening corresponding to the recess 7.
- the pins 48 of the latch 47 are not pushed outward. Retraction of the slider 42 in its upper position, however, is still possible because the openings 50 of the slider 42 for the pins 48 in contrast to the elongated shape of the openings 49th for the pins 46 of the holding pawls 40 have a triangular shape.
- the locking mechanism just described acts directly only on the pivot for the radiator 51, but only indirectly on the pivot arm 72.
- the locking mechanism ensures that the radiator in the event that the lamp module 60 is not in the outermost Position is located within the support section 1, is held in a rotational position in which the pivot axis of the radiator is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the lamp module 60 and the support section 1.
- Fig. 13a shows first the situation in which the lamp module 60 is disposed in the lowermost position within the support profile 1. As explained above, in this position, the rotary joint for the radiator is not blocked, ie the steel 61 can be freely rotated and - as shown - also pivoted freely.
- Fig. 13b shows a case in which the lamp module 60 has been slightly offset upwards within the support profile.
- a rotation of the radiator 61 is - as explained above - no longer possible and the radiator 61 is inevitably in a position in which its pivot axis is parallel to the support section 1.
- pivoting of the radiator 61 is still possible.
- this pivoting is limited by the dimensions of the support profile 1 and the reflector housing 63 of the radiator 61.
- the possible pivoting direction is determined by the blocking of the rotary joint and indirectly inhibits pivoting of the radiator 61 all the more, the farther the lamp module 60 is sunk into the support section 1.
- a pivoting in the longitudinal direction of the support section 1 is only possible if the lamp module 60 is in the lowest position.
- this locking mechanism is characterized as well as the unlocking mechanism by its simple structure and can be easily operated.
- the present invention thus represents an overall concept for a light channel system, which offers a variety of application and lighting options and is characterized by ease of use.
