Definitions
- the invention relates to a fragmentation warhead according to the preamble of claim 1, in particular for a missile.
- Missile warheads for missiles consist essentially of a cylindrical shell filled with an explosive charge.
- the shell is closed at its two opposite axial ends by flanges, which produce the mechanical connection to adjacent missile segments.
- the components for igniting the explosive charge of the fragmentation warhead are generally at its center, i. H. in the warhead axis.
- the cylindrical shell serves on the one hand as a carrier of construction fragments, or from the shell itself splinters are formed.
- the mechanical forces and moments of the fragmentation warhead of the missile are absorbed and transmitted by the shell in conjunction with the above-mentioned flanges.
- the axial opening angle depending on the expression of the detonator of the explosive charge is a maximum of 20 degrees and in the circumferential direction has a uniform distribution in all angular directions splitter distribution.
- the optimum values for the axial lobe aperture angle, resulting from the missile's target structure and characteristics, are generally well over 20 degrees of angle of conventional fragmentation warheads.
- the invention has the object to provide a further splinter warhead, in particular for a missile, wherein the opening angle of the axial splinter lobe on the values required to achieve an optimum effect between 15 and 120 degrees can be set and / or in which the fragment density can be increased in the circumferential direction for selected angular ranges at the expense of the remaining angular ranges. It is another object of the invention to ensure a safe transmission of missile forces and moments across the fragmentation warhead away to the neighboring sections of a missile.
- the fragmentation not only in the circumferential direction has a curvature but also in the axial direction to a defined curvature.
- the curvature can have different values in the circumferential direction for the individual angular ranges, such that cross-sections deviating from a circle result in sectional planes perpendicular to the central warhead axis for splitter occupancy.
- the fragmentation warhead according to the invention Due to the formation of the fragmentation warhead according to the invention with a splitter occupancy, which is curved in two spatial directions, namely in the circumferential direction and in the axial direction, and by the central support structure element of Splinter warhead, it is advantageously possible to realize a fragmentation warhead with a predetermined splitter distribution, ie fragment lobe, wherein the opening angle of the axial splinter lobe between 15 and 120 degrees may amount and the splinter lobe can have increased values in the circumferential direction for constructively predeterminable angle ranges.
- a predetermined splitter distribution ie fragment lobe
- the splitter assignment can be formed contiguously in the circumferential direction or subdivided into a number of splitter occupation segments.
- a cylinder-like fragmentation warhead with curved in the spatial directions described surfaces has - integrated into a missile - generally unfavorable aerodynamic properties, which is why it has proved to be useful if the fragmentation is covered by a thin smooth, the spreading of the splinters not obstructing aerodynamic shell ,
- the splitter assignment is provided according to the invention between two axially spaced connecting flanges of the central support structure element.
- the central support structure element is provided according to the invention for transmitting missile forces and missile moments in the interior of the fragmentation warhead section.
- This central support structure element has in the axial direction of the fragmentation warhead oriented structural surface elements, which are uniformly distributed in the circumferential direction of the fragmentation warhead section and each formed with a curvature of the splinter occupancy in the axial direction of the fragmentation warhead outer edge determining.
- the central support structure element according to the invention is formed with a central receiving space for a detonator provided for igniting the explosive charge of the fragmentation warhead.
- the central support structure element ensures that the forces and moments of the missile are transferred completely or at least partially through the fragmentation warhead.
- Fig. 1 illustrates an embodiment of the fragmentation warhead 10, which is provided in particular for a missile.
- the fragmentation warhead 10 has a splitter occupancy 12 which extends in the circumferential direction of the fragmentation warhead, like the FIGS. 2 and 3 clarify.
- the splinter assignment 12 in the axial direction of the fragmentation warhead 10 has a curvature whose radius of curvature in Fig. 1 is denoted by the arrow R.
- the radius of curvature R is greater than the radius r of the splinter occupancy 12 in the circumferential direction (see Fig. 2 ).
- the Fig. 2 illustrates a splitter occupancy 12, which is continuous in the circumferential direction of the fragmentation warhead 10, that is formed continuously.
- the Fig. 3 a splitter occupancy 12, which is divided in the circumferential direction of the fragmentation warhead 10 in a number Splitter occupancy segments 14. This subdivision can be even or uneven.
- the fragmentation warhead 10 has a central support structure element 18.
- the support structure element 18 has axially oriented structural surface elements 20 (see also FIGS FIGS. 2 and 3 ), which are evenly distributed in the circumferential direction of the fragmentation warhead 10, are provided crossing each other.
- the structural surface elements 20 are each formed with a curvature 1 / R of the splitter occupation 12 in the axial direction of the fragmentation warhead 10 determining outer edge 22.
- the central support structure element 18 has a central receiving space 24 (see Fig. 1 ) for an igniter 26, which is provided for igniting an explosive charge 28 of the fragmentation warhead 10.
- the support structure element 18 also has two mutually axially spaced connecting flanges 30, between which the structural surface elements 20 extend axially oriented.
- the reference numeral 32 is in Fig. 1 to the fragmentation warhead 10 adjacent missile segments called.
- FIGS. 1 to 3 each with the same reference numerals, so that it is unnecessary, in conjunction with these figures, to describe all the details in detail.
- FIG. 4A illustrates sectionally schematically a known cylindrical splitter occupancy 12 'with the resulting splinter lobe 34', the opening angle A 'is a maximum of 20 degrees.
- FIG. 4B Sectionally schematically an inventive splinter assignment 12 of a fragmentation warhead 10 according to the invention (see the FIGS. 1 to 3 ) with a resulting splinter lobe 34, which has an opening angle A, which can be between 15 and 120 degrees of angle.
- Fig. 5 clarified in one of the Fig. 2 similar cross-sectional view of a splitter occupancy 12, which has no constant radius of curvature in the circumferential direction, ie no circular splitter assignment, but an elliptical splitter assignment 12.
- the reference numeral 16 the shell of the fragmentation warhead 10 is also designated in this drawing figure.
- the curvature of the fragmentation 12 in the circumferential direction has different values for the individual angles ⁇ , so that ring cross sections differing from a circle in sectional planes perpendicular to the central warhead axis for the splinter occupancy 12, it is advantageous for the receive and transmit mechanical forces and moments of the missile 10 via the warhead section through the central support structure element 18 located in the warhead axis with structural elements 20 oriented in the axial direction.
- the respective splinter lobe 34 advantageously has increased values in the circumferential direction for constructively predeterminable angular ranges, so that the fragment density in the target in each case reaches optimum values.

Description

Fig. 1 zum Splittergefechtskopf 10 benachbarte Flugkörpersegmente bezeichnet.
