Definitions
- the invention relates to an air conditioning system for a vehicle, with a heat exchanger through which air can flow, which communicates with a first air duct and at least one second air duct, which lead into areas of the vehicle to be air-conditioned.
- a motor vehicle air conditioning system is known for example from DE 195 39 517 A1, which illustrates the typical structure of today's conventional air conditioning systems.
- at least one heat exchanger is arranged on the exhaust air side of a fan or blower, which conveys the air which is to be supplied to various areas of the vehicle interior via a plurality of air ducts.
- the outlet areas of at least some of the air ducts are usually provided with means to prevent the escape of air in whole or in part, as desired by the occupant to whom the respective air outlet is associated. If an air outlet is completely or partially closed by an occupant, this leads to the fact that the air conveyed by the central fan accumulates in the respective air duct.
- a disadvantage of the known generic air conditioning systems is that the means for partially or completely closing the air outlets must be solid in order to prevent any leakage of air in whole or in part despite the fan running. Over there From this, the damming of air conveyed through the central fan caused by closed air outlets leads to energy losses.
- the object of the present invention is to eliminate the above-mentioned disadvantages of the prior art.
- the air conditioning system builds on the generic state of the art in that the first air duct, a first fan and the second air duct, a second fan is associated with the first fan and the second fan are adapted to suck out of the heat exchanger exiting air to supply air to be air-conditioned areas of the vehicle.
- vehicle means any type of land or sea-based means of transport, in particular automobiles, camping vehicles or boats.
- Air sucked by the respective blower through the heat exchanger If a vehicle occupant does not want an air supply, then the fan which is assigned to the respective air duct can be simply switched off, for example. Damming of air can thus be avoided. Furthermore, it is possible to dispense with devices with which the air outlet can be completely or partially prevented.
- the first fan is arranged in an outlet region of the first air channel and that the second fan is arranged in an outlet region of the second air channel.
- the heat exchanger is associated with a further blower.
- this further fan is preferably less intended to force air through the system than to provide the heat exchanger with sufficient fresh air or air drawn in from the interior of the vehicle.
- the air flow rate of at least one of the fans is adjustable.
- the regulation of the fan can be done, for example, via a potentiometer to be operated by the respective occupant.
- the air flow rate of the first blower is adjustable as a function of the temperature in the area to be air conditioned of the vehicle, in which the first air duct leads, and that the air flow rate of the second blower in dependence on the temperature in the area to be air-conditioned of the vehicle into which the second air duct leads.
- one or more of the areas to be air-conditioned of the vehicle may be assigned a temperature sensor which is in communication with a controller which controls the respective fans.
- a controller which controls the respective fans.
- several closed control loops can be formed, wherein the respective occupant can specify the respective set temperature, for example via a control knob.
- the heat exchanger is designed to the air flowing through it Heat and / or cold supply.
- the heat exchanger can also be formed by a plurality of parallel or serially arranged partial heat exchangers, of which, for example, a partial heat exchanger is provided to supply heat, while another partial heat exchanger is provided to supply cold.
- the invention is particularly advantageously applicable in cases where it is provided that the area to be air-conditioned, into which the first air duct leads, is structurally separated from the area to be air-conditioned, into which the second air duct leads.
- the first air duct can be assigned to the front region of a vehicle interior, while the second air duct can be assigned to the rear region of a vehicle.
- lead an air duct in the cab and an air duct in the sleeping compartment In commercial vehicles, for example, lead an air duct in the cab and an air duct in the sleeping compartment.
- a key idea of the present invention is not to push the air as usual through the system but to suck.
- Figure 1 is a schematic representation of an embodiment of the air conditioning system according to the invention.
- the illustrated air conditioning system includes a compact climate module 38 that includes at least the essential components necessary to condition the air. If the compact climate module 38 is provided both for cooling and for heating, these components may in particular a compressor, an evaporator, which may at least partially form the heat exchanger, and a condenser. Furthermore, the heat exchanger may at least partially communicate with the cooling circuit of the vehicle in order to heat the air to be conditioned. Of course, electric heaters are conceivable. As already mentioned, the term heat exchanger in the present context should also include solutions in which a plurality of partial heat exchangers are provided.
- the compact climate module 38 has, in addition to the heat exchanger 10, an air distributor 40, to which a first air channel 12, a second air channel 14 and a third air channel 16 are connected.
- the first air channel 12 leads to a first region 18 to be air-conditioned
- the second air channel 14 leads to a second region 20 to be air-conditioned
- the third air channel 16 leads to a third region 22 to be air-conditioned.
- a first fan 24 provided
- a second blower 26 is provided in the outlet region 32 of the second air channel 14
- a third blower 28 is provided in the outlet region 34 of the third air duct 16, a third blower 28 is provided.
- the compact climate module 38 comprises a further blower 36, which is arranged in front of the heat exchanger 10, around this with sufficient fresh air and / or circulating air
- a first operating unit 44 is assigned to the first area 18 to be air-conditioned, a second operating unit 46 is assigned to the second area 20 to be air-conditioned, and a third operating unit 48 is assigned to the third area 22 to be air-conditioned.
- the first operating unit 44 includes a first control knob 50, with which the target temperature for the first area to be air-conditioned 18 can be specified, a first display 56, on which the selected target temperature is displayed, and a first temperature sensor 62, with which the temperature in the first area to be conditioned 18 is detected.
- the second operating unit 46 comprises a second control knob 52, with which the setpoint temperature for the second area 20 to be air-conditioned can be preset, a second display 58, on which the selected setpoint temperature is displayed, and a second temperature sensor 64, with which the temperature in the second area to be conditioned 20 is detected.
- the third operating unit 48 comprises a third control knob 54, with which the desired temperature for the third area to be conditioned 22 can be specified, a third display 60, on which the selected setpoint temperature is displayed, and a third temperature sensor 66, with which the temperature is detected in the third area to be conditioned 22.
- a central controller 42 is provided, which is connected to the control units 44, 46, 48 via electrical lines, not shown.
- the controller 42 regulates the speed of the fans 24, 26, 28, and 36 as a function of the respective temperature setpoints and actual values.
- the controller 42 may also monitor and / or control other components of the air conditioning system.
- three independently operable temperature control circuits are formed, one for each area to be conditioned. Due to the fact that the air is at least predominantly sucked through the system, there is no or at least only a small back pressure.
- the ideal case can be dispensed with facilities with which the escape of air at the air outlets can be completely or partially prevented. If such devices are nevertheless to be provided, they can be constructed at least very simply.
