- the sensor signals are lower at low ambient temperatures than at high temperatures. This can lead to the following problems: due to the sensor signals, the device for seat occupancy detection may no longer be detected at very low, in particular negative temperatures due to a person on the motor vehicle, in particular in the case of very light persons. On the other hand, a person may be falsely recognized on the vehicle seat at higher temperatures, although there is no person there. This can for example already be effected by a taut seat cover.
