Definitions
- the invention relates to a vibration ergometer.
- a device in which the legs of a paraplegic patient are moved by a motor driven crank unit.
- the NL 102 16 19 C describes a device in which vibration energy is transmitted via a handle bar on the upper extremities.
- a device is known in which a vibratode selectively transmits vibrations to stretched muscle structures.
- Another vibration device is in the DE 102 25 323 B4 claimed in the mechanically complex design stochastic resonances are transmitted to the user.
- the DE 196 39 477 A1 shows a device with a seat, a handle bar and vibration unit, in which the feet of the user is subjected to vibrations.
- a training device in which single or multiple can be acted upon with vibration contact points to the trainees by one or more damping elements are isolated by vibration, so that all assemblies are set to support the body parts of the user in vibration.
- All of the abovementioned ergometer systems are based on the principle of positioning the user together with the training medium used on a vibrating plate. All components used to support the exerciser exert vibration energy on the body parts touching the components or the corresponding body segments. This results in whole-body vibrations (GKV or Whole Body Vibration "WBV"), which in some cases exceed the occupationally-medical permissible limit values according to DIN ISO 2631.
- GKV or Whole Body Vibration "WBV" whole-body vibrations
- the resonance conflicts reduce the application time with resulting (time-limiting) efficiency minimization.
- the constructive feature isolation of the MVT devices on the uniform neuromotor stimulation of the intramuscular coordination, with focus of the conditional force component leads to a lack of broad conditional-coordinative multifunctionality of the GKV.
- the prior art MVT products cover only a selective portion of the training therapy; a holistic training concept can not be realized with these devices.
- a combination with conservative training equipment is mandatory (eg with cardio equipment in the warm
- US 3,713,438 A discloses a vibration ergometer having a seat unit, a bottom bracket / crank unit connected to a brake unit and a vibration unit, the latter consisting of a vibration plate, a vibration rack and a vibration motor, the vibration plate connected to the bottom bracket / crank unit and the bottom bracket / crank unit mechanically from the seat unit is decoupled.
- the object of the present invention is the provision of a vibration ergometer, which allows an integrative training therapeutic use - especially for rehabilitation / geriatrics patients or competitive athletes - allows; covers as broad a training medium requirement profile without combination with conservative training devices and has a small footprint, so that it is used for example in space.
- a vibration ergometer having a seat unit (20), a bottom bracket / crank unit (1) connected to a brake unit (4) and a vibration unit, the latter consisting of vibration plate (2), vibration frame (18) and vibration motors (3). wherein the vibration plate (2) is connected to the bottom bracket / crank unit (1) and the bottom bracket / crank unit (1) is mechanically decoupled from the seat unit, the vibration ergometer having a bottom plate (15) and the seat unit (20) without damping elements and the vibration unit via damping elements (5, 6) connected to the bottom plate (15), and wherein the vibration plate (2) is not mechanically decoupled via damping elements with the bottom bracket / crank unit (1).
- the inventive mechanical decoupling of the seat unit (20) of the vibration unit is ensured according to a significant inventive feature that not every module for supporting the trainees with the correspondingly associated body part of the trainee in operative connection (with the vibration) is. If the bottom bracket / crank unit (1) is rotated by the lower extremities, according to the present invention, the vibrations act almost exclusively on the lower extremities, but only very slightly on the buttocks, upper extremities, body trunk and head. These differences can be measured by accelerometers.
- the vibrations act almost exclusively on the upper extremities, but only very slightly on the buttocks, lower extremities, body trunk and head. Significant differences in the vibrational energy transmitted to the exerciser (eg wrist and buttocks) can also be measured in this embodiment.
- the advantages achieved by the invention are, in particular, that by simultaneously providing a special-purpose vibration unit with a mechanical resistance generation and a modified Ergometerkonstrutation, with the least spatial claim complex training agent application is feasible.
- GRP or carbon fiber composites By using GRP or carbon fiber composites, the weight of the device can also be drastically reduced without affecting the functionality.
- the term "seat unit" is understood in particular a saddle, as it is known for example from the bicycle industry.
- the bottom bracket / crank unit (1) is attached to the vibration unit as a separate assembly.
- an effective decoupling from the on the bottom bracket / crank unit (1) acting vibrations of the seat unit (20) is ensured.
- This embodiment also has advantages with respect to the undesired transmission of the vibrations to the other body parts of the exerciser which are not to be subjected to vibrations and which likewise come into contact with other components of the vibratory ergometer according to the invention.
- the vibration ergometer additionally has a wheel frame superstructure (17), wherein the seat unit (20) is connected to this wheel frame superstructure (17).
- This embodiment is used as a bicycle ergometer.
- wheel frame superstructure is understood here and below as the part of a bicycle consisting of chain stays, rear struts (with associated dropouts), seat tube, down tube, head tube, fork (with associated dropouts) and top tube. Consequently, the crankset bottom bracket sleeve (ie, the bottom bracket / crank unit (1)) does not fall under the term "wheel frame superstructure".
- the vibration unit ie the vibration plate (2), the vibration frame (18) and the vibration motors (3), and the damping elements (5, 6) are neither the bicycle components of the vibration gauge nor the term "wheel frame superstructure" within the meaning of the present invention. assigned.
- This connection of the seat unit with the wheel frame superstructure can not be releasably or (for example for height adjustment) be made detachable, for example via a saddle clamp.
- the seat unit (20) without damping elements and the vibration unit are connected via damping elements (5, 6) to a base plate (15).
- This embodiment ensures effective suppression of vibration transmission from the vibration unit to the seat unit (20) or the wheel frame superstructure (17) using simple, freely available means.
- Another, likewise preferred embodiment relates to one of the aforementioned vibrating ergometers with a wheel frame superstructure (17), in which the wheel frame superstructure (17) is releasably connected to the bottom plate (15).
- the wheel frame superstructure (17) can be detached from the front fork fixing by commercial quick fasteners - a simple folding away of the wheel frame superstructure is sufficient to use the bicycle ergometer as a hand-crank ergometer.
- the necessary change of the seat unit (20) can be done in a simple manner by a located on the front fork fixing for the detachable seat unit (20).
- the removable bicycle seat just needs to be "transposed".
- the bottom bracket / crank unit (1) may also be fixed on a height-adjustable support which is mounted on the vibration plate (2). In this way, an individual or training-related adaptation to the anthropometric conditions of the trainee is guaranteed.
- the vibration motors (3) of the vibration unit are frequency-controlled, whereby the vibration intensity can be varied and adjusted as desired or required via a controller (19). In this way it is possible to vary the intensity of training or treatment.
- the bottom bracket / crank unit (1) can be connected to vary the power requirement for the user in particular via a drive chain with the brake unit (4).
- the brake unit (4) can be a manually adjustable braking resistor (4) according to the previously described embodiments, in particular such a braking resistor based on a magnetic induction, eddy current or friction brake.
- Such treatments include, in particular, neuropathological conditions such as Parkinson's disease, ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), spinal paresis, spasticity, restless leg syndrome, multiple sclerosis, PAD (peripheral artheriovenous diseases), varicose veins, local ischemia, contractures, osteoporosis, postoperative rehabilitation , Fall prevention, compensation for coordination deficits, arteriosclerosis prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases,

("Influence of Vibration on Work Performance During Ergometer Cycling" in: Uppsala Journal of Medicine Sciences (1989)94, S. 73 - 79) bzw. Treier u.a. ("Weichteile" in Radmagazin "tour", 2/1999, S. 26 - 33).
