Claims (18)
- Device (1) for heating and controlling the water contained in a tank (7) of a hot-water boiler (8) of a water heater, comprising, on the one hand, a seat (2) made of heat-conducting material and joined in a leaktight manner to a heating resistor (3) and to a control probe (4), said heat-conducting seat (2) being provided with securing means (6) allowing the heating and control device (1) to be held in a leaktight manner in the bottom of the tank (7) of the hot-water boiler (8), and, on the other hand, an insulating housing (5) fixed on the seat (2) and comprising arrangements for receiving and guiding all the electrical connection elements for control and safety in such a way that these elements are never in direct contact with the heat-conducting seat (2), it being possible for the device for heating and control (1) to be connected to the electricity supply network by way of conductive components (23a, 23b) which are made of an elastic material and are fixed to the insulating housing (5), characterized in that said conductive components can be actuated, in order to move from an open position to a closed position, by way of insulating levers (24a, 24b) guided with pivoting in said housing, said conductive components (23a, 23b) each comprising a rigid blade (25a, 25b) provided, at its free end, with a contact (26a, 26b) arranged in line, respectively, with a contact (31, 33) provided at one of the ends of the connection plates (27, 28), while, on the one hand, the other end of the connection plate (27) is fixed to one of the connecting input terminals (14) of the electrical resistor (3) and, on the other hand, the other end of the plate (28) comprises a second contact (34) in line with a contact (35) formed integrally on an elastic and conductive plate (36) which is mounted movably and in an articulated manner relative to a connection component (38) fixed in the insulating housing (5).
- Device for heating and control according to Claim 1, characterized in that the securing means (6) are composed of a collar (9) continuing the base (15) of the heat-conducting seat (2) and comprising, on its outer face, a thread (10) intended to cooperate with a complementary profile formed in the bottom of the tank (7) of the hot-water boiler (8), while leaktightness is ensured by a gasket (43) placed around the collar (9) in such a way that it bears tightly between the bottom of said tank (7) and the peripheral edge (44) of the heat-conducting seat (2).
- Device for heating and control according to Claim 1, characterized in that the securing means (6) are composed of a collar (9) continuing the base (15) of the heat-conducting seat (2) and comprising, on its outer periphery and at regular intervals, indexed teeth (45) which are intended to cooperate with an opening of complementary profile formed in the bottom of a tank (7) of the hot-water boiler (8) in such a way as to produce a connection of the bayonet type, while leaktightness is ensured by a gasket (43) placed around the collar (9) in such a way that it bears tightly between the bottom of said tank (7) and the peripheral edge (44) of the heat-conducting seat (2).
- Device for heating and control according to Claim 1, characterized in that the heat-conducting seat (2) comprises hollow cylindrical recesses (11, 12; 13) which pass right through it in order to permit leaktight fixation of each end of the heating resistor (3) and of the control probe (4).
- Device for heating and control according to Claim 1, characterized in that the seat (2) comprises, at the opposite end from its securing means (6), a circular cavity (17) intended to receive a bimetal disc (18) permitting, by way of a manually resettable insulating ram (37), actuation of the connection plates (27, 28) of a thermal circuit breaker provided for safety purposes in the event of an excessive rise in the temperature of the water contained inside the tank (7) of the hot-water boiler (9).
- Device for heating and control according to Claim 1, characterized in that the connection component (38) cooperating with the elastic plate (36) is intended to ensure electrical connection to the other connecting terminal (14) of the electrical resistor (3).
- Device for heating and control according to Claim 1, characterized in that the elastic plate (36) is actuated by an insulating lever (20) cooperating with one of the ends of an Invar rod (16) arranged inside the tube of the control probe (4), in order to ensure sudden opening of the electric circuit in the event of the setpoint control temperature of the water inside the tank (7) of the hot-water boiler (8) being exceeded.
- Device for heating and control according to Claim 1, characterized in that it comprises a lamp (41) which is joined to the connection plates (27, 38) and indicates to the user that the water situated inside the tank (7) of the hot-water boiler (8) is in the process of heating.
- Device for heating and control according to Claim 1, characterized in that the seat (2) is composed of a first element (2a) made of a non-conductive material, and a second element (2b) made of a conductive material, in order to form a heat-conducting seat (2).
- Device for heating and control according to Claim 9, characterized in that the first element (2a) is integral, in the continuation of its base (15), with the securing means (6) for immobilizing the seat (2) in the bottom of the tank (7) of the hot-water boiler (8).
- Device for heating and control according to Claim 9, characterized in that the first element (2a) comprises, in its interior, hollow cylindrical recesses (11, 12 and 13) which pass right through said first element for respectively fixing the heating resistor (3) and the control probe (4).
- Device for heating and control according to Claim 9, characterized in that the electrical resistor (3) is fixed on the first element (2a) by way of a mounting plate (2c) which cooperates, on the one hand, with each branch of the bent profile of said electrical resistor (3) and, on the other hand, with a cavity (2d) formed in the base (15) of the securing means (6), said mounting plate being immobilized in the cavity (2d) by a locking screw (2e).
- Device for heating and control according to Claim 11, characterized in that each branch of the bent profile of the electrical resistor (3) cooperates in a leaktight manner with the first element (2a) by way of sealing gaskets (2f).
- Device for heating and control according to Claim 9, characterized in that the control probe (4) is introduced into the recess (13) of the first element (2a) so as to pass through the latter and join up with the second element (2b) of the seat (2).
- Device for heating and control according to Claim 14, characterized in that the control probe (4) is mounted in a leaktight manner on the first element (2a) by way of a sealing gasket (2g).
- Device for heating and control according to Claim 9, characterized in that the second element (2b) has a housing profile comprising a base (2h) bordered by a vertical peripheral skirt (2i) which, in its interior, is intended to receive the first element (2a), with a view to fixing and immobilizing it via at least two binding screws (2j).
- Device for heating and control according to Claim 16, characterized in that the second element (2b) comprises on its base (2h), and directed away from the first element (2a), a circular cavity (2k) intended to receive the bimetal disc (18) for actuating a thermal circuit breaker provided for safety purposes in the event of an excessive rise in the temperature of the water contained inside the tank (7) of the hot-water boiler (8).
- Device for heating and control according to Claim 16, characterized in that the base (2h) of the second element (2b) is traversed by the ends (14) of the electrical resistor (3) and by the Invar rod (16) of the control probe (4), so that these cooperate with all the connection and safety elements fixed in the insulating housing (5) which is fixed on top of said second element (2b) of the seat (2).
