Claims (6)

Electrical terminal comprising a casing of insulating material housing a loop-shaped flat metal spring (2) having a contact face (2A) to be pressed onto the stripped end of an electrical conductor and an operating face (2B) in front of which is located an insulating part accessible to a tool inserted through an aperture (4) in the casing to deform the spring elastically in order to move the contact face (2A) and engage the electrical conductor, this electrical terminal being characterized in that the insulating part takes the form of a plate (5) mating with the operating face of said spring, which is kept in contact with the spring by a fastening means, on the one hand, by bearing dorsally in a housing of the casing and, on the other hand, by changes in the planes of said spring preventing the plate from sliding, said plate being independent of the casing and simply bearing on the spring.
