Definitions
- the invention relates to a connecting device for conductors according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Connecting devices for conductors with clamping springs are known in a variety of variants and have proven themselves. Examples show the DE 197 376 739A1 , the DE 42 31 244 A1 , the DE 35 20 826 A1 , the DE 24 40 825 A1 , the DE 295 00614 A1 , the DE 81 36 054 U1 , the DE 69 41 200 U1 and the WO 02/13 319 A1 , A connecting device for conductors according to the preamble of claim 1 is made US-A-5 685 735 known.
- the first longitudinal leg of the clamping spring is fixed to the inside of the first side wall of the metal cage and partially directly applied to the inside of the side wall, the bending region of the clamping spring rests on at least one directly integrally formed on the metal cage web, and a projection on the Inside of one of the side walls of the metal cage is provided as a limitation for the deflection of the clamping leg.
- a particularly inexpensive and made of few parts connecting device is realized with a clamping spring which is ausziehêt fixed exclusively by means of directly formed on the metal cage functional elements in the metal cage, all forces of the operation are absorbed by the metal cage, as a whole or as a preassembled unit can be introduced into a terminal block housing or mounted on a printed circuit board.
- a clamping spring which is ausziehêt fixed exclusively by means of directly formed on the metal cage functional elements in the metal cage, all forces of the operation are absorbed by the metal cage, as a whole or as a preassembled unit can be introduced into a terminal block housing or mounted on a printed circuit board.
- the clamping leg has at its free end centering, which preferably engage at least in the un-connected state respectively in correspondingly shaped corresponding recesses in the busbar. Heads of different diameters and in particular also several conductors can be easily inserted into the connection device due to the centering devices, whereby always a good contact between the at least one conductor and the busbar is ensured. The engagement of the centering in the recesses also allows the wiring with conductors with a particularly small diameter.
- the clamping cage consists of a highly conductive metal such as copper and takes over an electrically conductive function or that the busbar and the clamping cage are made in one piece from conductive material.
- FIG. 1a shows a connection device 1 for an end stripped conductor 2 (see, for example Fig. 1b ), which has a clamping spring 3 and a bus bar 4, which are arranged in a metal cage 5.
- the metal cage 5 has a rectangular cross-sectional shape with four side walls 5a - 5d and is open at its two axial ends, wherein one of the open Pages - in Fig. 1a the upper open side - serves as an insertion opening 14 for a conductor 2 and an operating tool or the like.
- the first and third side walls 5a and 5c which are opposed to each other and aligned in parallel, are narrower than the two other mutually parallel second and fourth side walls 5b and 5d.
- Fig. 1b is the connection device are shown for clarity without the second and here front side wall 5b.
- the clamping spring 3 formed from a rectangular sheet metal strip has two longitudinal limbs 3a and 3b, which are aligned at an acute angle to one another and are connected to one another via a bending region 3c.
- the first longitudinal leg 3a of the clamping spring 3 is attached to the inside of the first, shorter side wall 5a of the metal cage 5 and is partially directly on the inside of the side wall 5a. Its dimensions correspond to the dimensions of the inside of the first side wall 5a.
- the busbar 4 is L-shaped in side view and rests with its contact leg 4a on the inside of the third side wall 5c, which is opposite to the first side wall for fixing the clamping spring 3.
- the second leg 4b engages over the axial opening of the metal cage 5 facing away from the insertion opening 14 and thus forms a boundary or a stop for the conductor 2 when it is inserted into the connection device.
- the first longitudinal leg 3a has a recess 6 into which an inwardly projecting projection 7 of the first side wall 1a engages.
- the recess is rectangular here and lies to the side facing away from the insertion side for the conductor 2 side of the side wall 1a.
- the projection 7 also has a rectangular shape here. It is formed by punching a U-shaped punched hole in the first side wall 1a, whereupon it is punched on one side in a bending area 8 metal tab connected to the first side wall 1a is bent inwardly. In this case, the bending region 8 is the projection 7 to the insertion side of the conductor.
- a web 10 a, 10 b is formed on the insertion side, the length of each, e.g. half of the width of the clamping spring 3 corresponds and which are bent inwardly perpendicular to the respective sidewall planes.
- These webs 10 serve in a simple manner as a support for the bending region 3c of the clamping spring 3d.
- the second longitudinal leg 3b extends obliquely to the insertion direction for the conductor into the metal cage and extends here in the non-connected state to the busbar 4 and is applied to this.
- He is here doubly curved like a wave.
- the conductor of the second longitudinal leg 3b - also called clamping legs - deflected in the insertion direction downwards. Its movement in this direction is limited by an inwardly facing projection 11 on the fourth side wall 5d, which is formed as a still one-sided connected to the side wall in a bending region 12 and stamped on three sides U-shaped tabs.
- the metal cage 5 is also formed as a bent part of a stamped sheet, which is bent after punching in the shape of rectangular in cross section metal cage 5, wherein the interface of the edges of the metal strip is here in the region of the second side wall 5 b and wherein the two edges a castle-like compound 13 (tongue and groove) interlock.
- the protruding from the insertion opening 14 for the conductor 2 bent end of the busbar and the clamping legs 3b of the clamping spring 3 together form a kind of funnel-shaped insertion region for the conductor 2, which facilitates insertion into the terminal device 1.
- a bulge 15 in the first longitudinal leg 3a of the clamping spring above the recess 6 serves to optimize the voltage.
- connection device for conductors, which can be used in a variety of ways without requiring any major adjustments at the site.
- connection device in a terminal block and to provide essentially only one of the geometry of the connection device adapted recess for insertion of the terminal device (see also the comments on Fig. 22 and 23 ).
- Special webs and the like, which serve as stop elements for any moving parts of the connecting device, for example, are not required.
- Fig. 1c shows an individual view of the busbar and the clamping spring 3 in the open state for wiring (but for the sake of clarity without a conductor).
- the clamping leg 3b bears against the projection 11.
- the busbar 4 can be easily inserted for mounting in the metal cage 5b eg in the open state from below.
- Figure 1d shows how the terminal device behaves after insertion of a conductor 2.
- the clamping leg 3b of the spring is located on the projection 11, so that a particularly defined clamping force is exerted on the conductor, which presses the conductor against the busbar 4.
- Figure 1e illustrates that there is sufficient space next to the conductor to press by means of an operating tool, in particular a screwdriver 16, the clamping leg 3b for releasing the conductor 2 against the projection 11.
- an operating tool in particular a screwdriver 16
- the clamping leg 3b for releasing the conductor 2 against the projection 11.
- FIG. 1f illustrates the integration of the terminal device 1 in a terminal housing 17, which has a recess 18 and insertion openings 19, 20 for the screwdriver 16 or other operating tool and the conductor 2.
- the screwdriver With the screwdriver, it is in particular possible to depress the clamping leg 4b practically and safely in the undulating region and to open the nip of the connecting device 1. Due to the spring shape and the design of the metal cage 5 and the screwdriver guide (opening 19) in the terminal obstruction of the conductor 2 is avoided by the screwdriver.
- Figure 1g shows an alternative embodiment in which an actuating piece 21 rests on the wavy curved clamping leg 3b, which has on its upper side a notch or slot 22 for supporting the screwdriver and on one side a latching lug 46 for failing against failure from the terminal housing.
- busbar 4 it is also conceivable to fix the busbar, for example, directly to another busbar 44, in which case the busbar 4 is not L-shaped, that is, it has no second leg 4b.
- FIG. 1j illustrates that a vomabgriff 24 can be arranged at various points of the terminal device, such as on an outer side, for example, on the outside of the first side wall 5a.
- Figure 1k illustrates how FIG. 11 the insertion of an actuating piece 21 in the opening 19 'of the terminal housing 17.
- the detent 46 secures the actuating piece against failure of terminal block.
- Figure 1m shows that the top of the actuating piece 21 may be formed widened such that a marker region 38 is formed for attaching a marker.
- a corresponding recess 39 for receiving the Markierer Suitees 38 is formed in the terminal housing 17.
- Figure 1n 1 illustrates the mounting or insertion of the terminal device 1a with busbar 4 from the side into the simple, substantially rectangular recess 18 of the terminal housing 17, where the connecting device 1 with a projection 45 which is bent out directly from the outside of the metal cage 5 , is securely locked in a recess of the terminal block, so that it is secured against lateral failure.
- Figure 1o shows in the upper section, the clamping spring 3 or contact spring together with metal cage 5 and in the lower part of the L-shaped busbar 4 in a single representation.
- FIG. 2 corresponds largely to the embodiment of FIG. 1
- the second clamping leg 3b is not curved in a wave-like but planar, so that no support surface for the Screwdriver 16 is formed.
- the variant is still functional, if by type FIG. 2b the insertion opening 19 for the screwdriver 16 is tapered in the insertion direction, so that the insertion movement of the screwdriver 16 is limited in the terminal housing 17.
- FIG. 3 shows a variant in which the metal housing or the metal cage 5 tapers from the insertion side 14 to the busbar 4 downwards on one side (in the region of the side walls 5b and 5d). Accordingly, although the cross section of the metal cage 5 remains rectangular. The cross section also tapers in the insertion direction.
- a particularly compact connecting device is realized, the structure but otherwise the embodiment of FIG. 1 equivalent.
- the terminal housing tapers on both sides, that is, the side walls 5b and 5d each have a trapezoidal shape, which again opposite Fig. 3 is space-saving and more compact.
- FIG. 5a and b is on the opposite side of the insertion opening 14 of the connecting device 1 to the metal cage 5, to the clamping spring 3 and the busbar 4, a further leg 5e, 4c and 3d formed, which are bent towards each other, wherein between the spring leg 3d and the busbar leg 4c the busbar 4 is a connection option for a male connector 25.
- the leg 5e of the metal cage serves as a stop plug 25 is made.
- the leg 5e of the metal cage serves as a stop for moving the spring leg 3d.
- FIGS. 6a and b illustrate that in a corresponding variant of a busbar 4, which does not close the insertion opening 14 opposite side of the metal cage 5, the area between a bent end 26 of the first longitudinal leg 3a and the first side wall 5a as a plug for a scholarabgriff or for a cross connector 27th is usable.
- Figure 7a illustrates that even between the bending region 3c and the first side wall 5a, such a cross connector 27 or a test plug can be inserted.
- FIG. 8 combines the variants FIG. 6 and 7 and allows the engagement of cross connectors 27 or test plugs both on the type of Fig. 6 as well as the type of Fig. 7 ,
- FIG. 9 illustrates that the embodiments of the FIG. 6 instead of introducing a transverse connector 27, it is also possible to insert another conductor 28.
- Analog shows FIG. 10 the insertion of another conductor 28 between the bending region 3c of the clamping spring 3 and the first side wall 5a.
- FIG. 11 combines the variants FIG. 9 and FIG. 10 ie, conductors 28 are inserted between the bent end 26 and the side wall 1a both in the insertion direction between the bending portion 3c and the first side wall 1a and on the opposite side.
- FIG. 12 illustrates that directly on the insertion opening 14 opposite ends of the metal cage 5 soldering or Preßbeinchen 29 may be formed, which can be used in a circuit board 23 and openings 31 of the circuit board 23 and can be soldered, pressed or riveted there.
- solder legs still plug legs 30 are formed with projections 43 which realize undercuts 32 which are latched when inserting corresponding slots 33 on the circuit board 30.
- An over-housing 34 - Fig. 13 - Can be plugged in via one or more of these connection devices.
- This outer housing 34 may for example consist of insulating material.
- FIG. 14 illustrates that the busbar 4 may also be formed integrally with the metal cage or form part of the metal cage, if it consists of a highly conductive material.
- FIG. 15 illustrates a further solderable to a circuit board 23 variant with solder legs 29 and a projection 35 for locking a Koch-Isolierstoffgeophuses on one of the side walls of the metal cage 5, which also assumes a conductive function as a busbar.
- FIG. 16 and 17 illustrate that instead of solder legs 29 SMD-type attachment pieces 35 can be used for an SMD-like attachment to the circuit board (see also FIG. 17 ).
- FIG. 18a b illustrate that the connecting device in the manner of FIG. 1a also on a circuit board or on a web or a busbar 44 can be placed.
- FIG. 19 illustrates a plurality of juxtaposed on a circuit board connecting devices, wherein the second longitudinal leg 4b of the busbars 4 of the connecting devices is integrally connected to a conductive plate 42 integrally with each other.
- FIG. 22 illustrates a terminal block with two terminal devices 1, which taper downwards. It is well recognizable that this terminal block in comparison to FIG. 23 with non-tapered connection devices 1 on the type FIG. 1 narrower builds.
- Fig. 24 shows an embodiment of the invention in which the clamping spring 3 is impressed on the metal cage, by means of inexpensive and durable stampings 47 in the region of the adjacent to the first side wall 5a longitudinal leg 3a.
- the cutouts 36, 37 in the second and fourth side walls 5b and 5d in the corner areas to the first side wall 5a are not required.
- Another embossment 50 may be provided between the busbar 4 and the metal cage 5.
- punch-outs 48 for example in the second and / or fourth side walls 5b and 5d in the corner regions towards the busbar 4, are arranged and bent inwardly such that an insertion and receiving space 49 for the conductor is defined between them and the busbar 4 facilitates the insertion of the conductor 2 and improves the defined fit of the conductor 2 in the connection device ( Fig. 25 ).
- FIGS. 24 to 26 can the castle-like connection on the type of Fig. 1a be provided.
- the second wall and 5b in its free end itself as a replacement of the web 10b Fig. 1 bent toward the interior of the metal cage 5 in order to realize such a particularly secure support area for the bending area 3c of the clamping spring 3 and at the same time to close and stabilize the metal cage 5 ( Fig. 26 ).
- the web 10a can remain, but it is here, for example, simply as a punched-out from the upper edge of the wall 5d folded inwards ( Fig. 25 ).
- the busbar 4 is provided in the direction of its longitudinal extent on its region facing the inserted conductor with a kind of groove or groove 138, which serves to center a conductor to be introduced.
- clamping leg 3b at its end facing the busbar 4 has two lateral, bevelled centering tips 139, 40, which respectively engage in correspondingly shaped corresponding recesses 141, 142 in the corners of the busbar 4 (see also FIG Fig. 28a ).
- a conductor 128 to be inserted is centered between the centering tips 139, 140 and the groove 138.
- raised grooves 143 in the busbar 4 - in front of and behind the recesses 141, 142 disposed in the insertion direction - improve the contact of the conductor to the busbar 4 (see Fig. 28b ).
- a particular advantage is also to be seen in that not only conductors 128 of different diameters ( Fig. 29a and c ) but also a plurality of conductors 128a, b can be connected in this way in a single connection device 1 ( Fig. 29b and d ).
- Wiring with one or more thin conductors is also considerably simplified in this way ( Fig. 29a and b ).

Against the background of this prior art, there is a need for a particularly easy-to-handle connection device with clamping spring, which is very inexpensive to manufacture and versatile, with the minimum possible need for adaptation of the terminal device receiving equipment such as terminal blocks or circuit boards to be necessary.
Die Lösung dieses Problems ist die Aufgabe der Erfindung. The solution to this problem is the object of the invention.
The invention solves this problem by the subject matter of
Thereafter, it is provided that the first longitudinal leg of the clamping spring is fixed to the inside of the first side wall of the metal cage and partially directly applied to the inside of the side wall, the bending region of the clamping spring rests on at least one directly integrally formed on the metal cage web, and a projection on the Inside of one of the side walls of the metal cage is provided as a limitation for the deflection of the clamping leg.
With the invention, a particularly inexpensive and made of few parts connecting device is realized with a clamping spring which is ausziehsicher fixed exclusively by means of directly formed on the metal cage functional elements in the metal cage, all forces of the operation are absorbed by the metal cage, as a whole or as a preassembled unit can be introduced into a terminal block housing or mounted on a printed circuit board. In this way, it is only necessary to provide, for example, in a terminal block adapted to the outer geometry recess, but there are no webs or the like on the terminal housing or a conductor bar required which special functions -. a pull-out of the spring or the function of a stop - take over. These functions are rather taken over by the metal cage.
According to another particularly preferred and independently contemplated further development is provided that the clamping leg has at its free end centering, which preferably engage at least in the un-connected state respectively in correspondingly shaped corresponding recesses in the busbar. Heads of different diameters and in particular also several conductors can be easily inserted into the connection device due to the centering devices, whereby always a good contact between the at least one conductor and the busbar is ensured. The engagement of the centering in the recesses also allows the wiring with conductors with a particularly small diameter.
It is according to a variant also conceivable that the clamping cage consists of a highly conductive metal such as copper and takes over an electrically conductive function or that the busbar and the clamping cage are made in one piece from conductive material.
Further advantageous embodiments can be found in the remaining subclaims.
