Abstract

The immersion heater (1) consists of a base (2) of a conducting material, sealed to a heating resistance (3) and a regulating probe (4), and a fixing surface (6) for fitting and sealing it to a hot water tank. It also has an insulated housing (5) mounted on the base and containing guides and fixings for electrical connections so that the latter are never in direct contact with the heat conducting base. The fixing surface is in the form of a thread or a toothed ring that engages with a matching aperture in the base of the hot water tank and is sealed with a joint.
