Abstract

1363842 Water heaters P & R ELECTRICAL (LONDON) Ltd 14 Sept 1971 [15 June 1970] 28910/70 Heading F4A A constant flow water heater, Fig. 1, has the probe 13 of the heater element thermostat 6, extending through the water in the copper container 1 and its free end 21 within the cold water inlet 3. The heating element is copper sheathed and has mineral insulation. The container is lagged with a sealed plastics jacket 7 and a sealed top cover 15 is provided. Restriction washers 4, 17 are provided and a multibranched inlet tube (e.g. Fig. 2, not shown), each branch having a sensor end therein, may be used if more than one heating element is provided. Examples of element rating for various water volumes is given, the ratio of element power in kilowatts to capacity in litres being greater than one.
