Abstract

The heater has a horizontal cylindrical body (1) made of a plastics material which is rigid and is a poor conductor of heat, and has a tubular connection (4) in the lower part for the cold liquid feed connection and a tubular connection (5) in the upper part for the hot liquid flow connection. The cylinder is closed at the two ends by two circular end plates (3). One of these carries tubular electric heating elements which project into the body of the cylinder and the other carries a thermostat for automatic control also projecting into the body of the cylinder. The construction is resistant to corrosion, does not require insulation and is not affected by deposit of scale.
