Abstract

PURPOSE:To safely obtain uniform temperature distribution in hot water by installing a heat pipe with its heat receiving end positioned outside and its heat radiating end positioned inside of the hot water storage tank. CONSTITUTION:A heat pipe 11 is installed in and out of a container 1 which stores hot water with a heat receiving end 121 of said heat pipe 11 positioned outside of the container 1 while a heat radiating end 122 positioned inside the container 1, a heater 16 is provided adjacent to the heat receiving end 121 to heat the heat pipe 11 whereby (hot) water in the container 1 is heated or kept at constant temperature through the phase change of a heating medium sealed in the heat pipe 11 due to its evaporation and condensation.
