Definitions
- the invention relates to a clock, in particular a wristwatch, with a housing whose housing interior observer has an opening closed by a cover glass and the bottom side has a sound opening which is closed by a membrane, which with its radially peripheral edge region close to a corresponding annular surface of the Housing is in Appendix, with a arranged in the housing interior vibrator, can be generated by the sound vibrations.
- the membrane ensures that the housing interior, in which the movement and the vibrator are located, is closed to the outside to prevent ingress of dirt and moisture.
- a clock of the aforementioned type is known in which the radially encircling edge of the membrane in an axial receiving opening of the watch case can be used until it rests against an annular shoulder and axially clamped by a axially screwed on the housing clamping ring against the annular shoulder.
- the circular outer diameter of the membrane corresponds to the inner diameter of the receiving opening.
- a wristwatch which has in its bottom region a chamber in which a battery-powered vibrator is arranged. From the chamber go out to the outside leading openings.
- the chamber together with the openings forms a Helmholtz resonator whose natural frequency corresponds to the frequency of the vibrator, which leads to an amplification of the sound generated by the vibrator.
- the object of the invention is therefore to provide a clock of the type mentioned, in which there is an optimized transmission of the sound vibrations of the vibrator to the outside.
- This object is achieved in that the radially encircling edge of the membrane of a pulling device is radially outwardly zugbelastbar.
- a tensile load is possible in a simple manner when the radially encircling edge of the membrane is tightly connected to a clamping ring, which can be tensioned radially outwardly by the pulling device, wherein preferably the radially encircling edge of the membrane is connected by a non-detachable connection with the clamping ring.
- the membrane can first be connected to the clamping ring with a certain basic tension and thus a certain natural frequency, before a fine adjustment is then made by the pulling device.
- a tight and firm connection of the membrane with the clamping ring is possible in that the membrane is connected by soldering or welding, in particular by laser welding with the clamping ring.
- the laser welding has the additional advantage that a heat load only in the immediate welding area but not in the natural frequency-determining free-stretched area of the membrane he follows. A heat-related change in the natural frequency of the membrane is thus avoided.
- Another dense and firm connection of the membrane with the clamping ring while avoiding heat influence of the membrane is that the membrane is adhesively bonded to the clamping ring.
- the membrane can also be clamped between two clamping ring parts which can be connected to one another, which are preferably axially tensioned against one another by means of screws.
- a sealing ring may be arranged in a radially circumferentially formed groove in the annular surface, on which the membrane or the clamping ring is in axial contact.
- clamping screws For tight loading of the annular surface by the clamping ring and its fixation of the clamping ring can be tensioned by means of clamping screws against the annular surface, which are screwed into axial threaded holes of the housing and with its screw head on the clamping ring in circulation.
- the clamping screws are preferably evenly distributed around the clamping ring for even investment.
- the pulling device may consist in that in the clamping ring radially directed and radially outwardly opening threaded bores are formed, can be screwed into the lag screws, which are supported on the housing against radial inward movement.
- an adjustment of the natural frequency of the membrane can be carried out in the built-in housing state, so that installation-related changes in the natural frequency of the membrane can not arise.
- the large stage opens radially outward and at the transition from the large step to the small stage, the lag screw is supported with its screw head.
- a clamping element axially acted upon, wherein the clamping element acts on the membrane in its radially outer peripheral edge region axially Clamping ring, which allows a uniform radial circumferential loading of the membrane.
- the clamping element can be axially adjustable by means of adjusting screws.
- the membrane is preferably covered by a housing bottom fastened to the housing, between the membrane and the housing bottom a space is formed, lead from the sound outlet openings in particular radially outward.
- the membrane is a metal membrane, which may possibly consist of a corrosion-resistant material, in particular of gold or a gold alloy.
- a good range of sound vibrations can be achieved by virtue of the fact that the oscillator is a bell which can be hit by a stop hammer or a gong which preferably consists of a metal.
- the vibration generator consists of niobium (Nb) or a niobium (Nb) -containing alloy.
- the partial sections of a clock shown in the figures show a housing 1 of the clock whose housing interior 2 has a sound opening 3 which is closed by a metallic membrane 10.
- a radially encircling annular surface 4 is arranged on the housing 1 in the edge region of the sound opening 3, which extends radially to the sound opening 3 and in which a radially encircling groove 5 is formed.
- a sealing ring 6 is arranged, which protrudes partially from the groove 5.
- a clamping ring 7, 7 ' On the annular surface and the sealing ring 6 is a clamping ring 7, 7 'with an approximately rectangular cross section firmly in circulation.
- the membrane 10 is fixed by laser welding and covers the opening of the clamping ring 7, 7' from.
- two bells 8, 8 'of a vibrator are arranged centrally, which can be engaged by a stop hammer, not shown, for generating sound vibrations.
- the membrane 10 is covered to the outside by a cup-shaped housing bottom 11 connected to the housing 1, wherein a space 12 is formed between the membrane 10 and the housing bottom 11, from which sound outlet openings 13 lead radially outward.
- the space 12 and the sound outlet openings 13 form a Helmholtz resonator.
- threaded holes 14 are formed, which are closed radially inwardly.
- stepped holes 15 are formed in the housing 1, whose small steps 16 open radially inward and their large steps 17 radially outward.
- tension screws 18 are introduced radially from the outside and screwed with their threaded shank in the threaded holes 14.
- the lag screws 18 are based on the transition from the large step 17 to the small step 16.
- the lag screws 18 in the threaded holes 14 of the clamping ring 7 is stretched radially outwards and thus the membrane 10 radially stretched, so that their natural frequency is changed.
- the membrane 10 has a radial stress at the desired natural frequency.
