Definitions

  • the invention relates to a side support for a heald.
  • Heald frames are essential parts of weaving machines. They serve for shedding by passing warp threads up or down from the warp sheet while others remain in the rest position or in the opposite direction to be moved. A weft thread is then introduced into the thus formed compartment to produce the desired binding.
  • the U.S. Patent 4,022,252 discloses such a hive. To him belong an upper and a lower, in use horizontally arranged shaft rod.
  • the shaft rods are each provided with Litzentragschienen, sit on which strands. Each strand has at least one thread eyelet through which a warp thread passes.
  • the shaft rods are connected at their ends by so-called side supports arranged approximately vertically in use, which define a rectangular frame with the shaft rods. The side supports hold the shaft rods at a defined distance from each other and also take over management tasks.
  • the from the U.S. Patent 4,022,252 known side support consists of a plastic profile body, in which a cross-sectionally U-shaped sheet metal profile is embedded. A portion of the sheet metal profile lies on the side facing away from the shaft rods side to light and serves as a guide profile for a vertical sliding of the shaft.
  • the material combination plastic / metal can be critical. Measures must be taken to prevent detachment of the metal profile from the plastic body.
  • the JP 02068331 A discloses a low weight shaft frame comprising a side support made up of an assembly of multiple layers of laminated thermoplastic materials and aluminum layers.
  • the EP 0 297 003 B1 revealed in FIG. 8 a side support in the form of a thick-walled U-profile, the profile is open on the side facing away from the shaft rods.
  • Such profiles can be produced for example by milling or extrusion of aluminum.
  • the DE 44 03 923 C1 discloses a tubular box profile-like side part, which is connected by means of Eckitatis kind with the shaft rod of a heald. To drive the weaving shank, it is proposed that the corner connecting part has a drive part connected by riveting.
  • the US 2002/004 0736 A1 discloses a side support for a heald, which is formed as a solid profile. It not only serves to support and support the shaft rods but at the same time to drive the same. For this purpose, it is provided on its side remote from the heald frames with a groove into which a threaded end rod fits. At the upper end of the side support two plates are screwed, which have a receiving slot for a connector, which is bolted to the threaded rod. The connector may also be guided vertically displaceable on a guide profile to effect guidance of the heald.
  • the slotted plates which are provided for connecting the side support with the connector and the threaded rod, are bolted to the solid profile.
  • the presented side supports are connected in their production with a considerable effort. In addition, their capacity is limited.
  • the side support according to the invention has a base body which is formed by a sheet bending profile.
  • the sheet metal bending profile may consist of a single bent sheet metal part or, if necessary, also several e.g. consist of two sheet metal bending parts. It is a hollow profile enclosing a cavity. If required, internals can be arranged in the cavity. It is also possible to provide the cavity completely or partially with a foam filling or a honeycomb structure. However, in the preferred embodiment, the like is omitted.
  • the bent sheet metal part assumes the supporting function. It connects the upper and lower shaft rods or the shaft rod connection devices provided for connecting the shaft rods to one another.
  • the side supports according to the invention can be manufactured with simple means more precise than previous side supports, which always have a certain bending elasticity and therefore must be addressed after manufacture. With the side supports made as sheet-metal bent parts, for example by punching, tolerances can be tolerated with respect to their effective length in the order of ⁇ 0.02 mm to reach. This is a significant improvement over previous side supports.
  • the cavity provided in the side support preferably extends at least over a substantial portion of the longitudinal direction of the sheet metal bending part. This is given for example by the distance between the shaft rod connection devices. It results in high stiffness, a low weight of the side supports, which not only allows the above-mentioned cost reductions in the production but possibly also an improvement in the operating speed of a loom, the heald frames are equipped with such side supports.
  • the main body of the side support forming sheet metal bending part may be formed, for example, as a U-profile and a total of one piece. It can then have an open slot on its side facing the shaft rods.
  • the shaft rod connection devices or other elements which are intended to come into contact, for example, with the healds, such as spacers or the like, protrude out.
  • the positioning and mounting of such additional elements is simple and possible due to the long open, accessible through a wide slot cavity as needed at different locations. In this way, side supports with different distances between the two shaft rods can be easily produced.
  • the side support may be prepared at a plurality of spaced apart locations for connection to the shaft rod connector. Thereby it is possible different Adjust shaft rod distances and thus different strands.
  • the cavity is preferably closed.
  • the outer surface of the side support can then serve for sliding. In addition, the risk of injury and contamination tendency are reduced.
  • the main body can also be formed by a partially closed sheet metal bent part, which starts from a U-profile, wherein the edges of the legs of the U still have sections bent toward each other.
  • a side support proves to be particularly kink-resistant.
  • the main body of the side support may also be formed by two (or more) interconnected sheet metal bending parts. These are, for example, shell-shaped and arranged with their open sides facing each other. This creates a closed side support which encloses a cavity, wherein the end faces have openings. For attachment of the shaft rod connection means corresponding cutout are provided through which the shaft rod connection devices protrude.
  • the shell profiles can be welded or riveted together.
  • a drive connection device is provided on the side support. This is formed by two flat projections parallel to each other, which join seamlessly and seamlessly to the base body, ie are connected in one piece with it.
  • the joint and seamless connection is preferably achieved by the extensions in one Piece punched out with the main body or otherwise cut out of a raw sheet. If necessary, however, they can also be welded. Where then a weld is present.
  • connection piece can be held, which serves to transmit a drive movement on the side support.
  • the connecting piece is preferably held captive on the extensions and, for example, rotatably mounted thereon.
  • a hexagonal connection piece is preferred.
  • the sheet metal bending part (or the sheet metal bending parts) is preferably made of steel. Dieiser can run in plastic guides, with steel and plastic usually forming a good friction pairing. Preference is given to stainless steel, so that surface processing, in particular corrosion protection measures can be omitted.
  • FIG. 1 illustrates a weaving shank 1 with upper and lower shaft rods 2, 3 and side supports 4, 5.
  • the shaft rods 2, 3 and the side supports 4, 5 form a rectangular frame.
  • Litzentragschienen are arranged, on which strands 6 sit. These serve to guide warp threads, to which they have corresponding eyelets 7.
  • the side supports 4, 5 are formed equal to each other and preferably arranged mirror-symmetrically.
  • the following description of the side support 5 applies equally to the side support 4. It is also possible to make the side supports different, so that e.g. one of the side supports is non-detachably connected to the shaft rods, while the other side support is detachably connected to the shaft rods.
  • FIG. 2 illustrates the side support 5, which has a base 8 in the form of a sheet metal part 9.
  • a sheet metal part 9 This preferably consists of a thin sheet steel, preferably stainless steel.
  • the sheet metal bending part 9 forms an elongated, straight bar with a straight and preferably closed back 10 and substantially planar flat sides 11, 12 which is arranged substantially vertically in use. It encloses a cavity 13 which, in the present embodiment, extends over the entire length of the side support 5 extends.
  • To the shaft rods 2, 3 towards the cavity 13 is accessible through a wide slot 14 which is defined between the lateral, the flat sides 11, 12 defining legs or portions 15, 16 of the sheet metal part 9.
  • the cavity 13 may, if necessary, with a light material such as foam, honeycomb or the like may be filled to prevent accumulation of dirt in the cavity 13.
  • the cavity 13 is substantially empty.
  • the sheet metal bending part 9 is preferably a one-piece, bent from a blank part.
  • a corresponding blank 17 is schematically shown in FIG FIG. 8 or 9 illustrated. It is bent in dashed lines indicated bending lines 18, 19 to a U-shaped profile, which then forms the main body 8 of the side support 5.
  • Other profiles eg U-profiles with inwardly curved backs, H-profiles or other bending profiles can also be used.
  • the blank 17 includes extensions 20, 21, between which preferably an incision 22 is provided to separate them from each other. Otherwise, the blank 17 is bounded by parallel edges 23, 24, to which the bending lines 18, 19 are aligned in parallel.
  • the bending lines 18, 19 adjacent to the incision 22 If the blank 17 is bent at right angles along the bending lines 18, 19, a U-shaped profile is formed with the projections 20, 21 held parallel to one another and legs 15, 16 parallel to one another.
  • FIG. 9 Another embodiment according to FIG. 9 has further bending lines 37, 38.
  • the sections 39, 40 are bent in the production of the U-shaped bent part by approximately 180 degrees and then lie approximately parallel to the legs 15, 16 of the U-shaped bent sheet metal part 9 on the outside ( FIG. 10 ) or are kept at a slight distance from the outside. This results in rounded burr-free edges 23, 24.
  • the extensions 20, 21 are formed in a straight extension of the edges 23, 24 and the bending lines 18, 19.
  • the edges of the extensions 20, 21 are perpendicular with respect to a to the bottom of the U-shaped profile oriented transverse direction does not extend beyond the bending lines.
  • the recess 22 has at its end an extension with rounded corners, so that no material cracks occur in the production of the bending part 9 in this area.
  • the extensions 20, 21 form a drive connection device 25, is moved vertically over the side support 5 up and down.
  • the drive connector 25 may include a terminal profile 26, e.g. between the extensions 20, 21 is held. It may be formed, for example, as a hexagonal profile body. It can be rotatably mounted on the extensions 20, 21. It forms a coupling half that fits to another coupling half connected to the drive device.
  • the connection profile is connected, for example by means of a hollow bolt 27 to the extensions 20, 21.
  • the hollow pin 27 is arranged in a straight extension of a central axis of the main body 8. The central axis is considered to be that line that passes through the centroid of the sheet metal part 9.
  • the side support 5 also has a shaft rod connection device 28, which protrudes from the cavity 13 out.
  • the shaft rod connecting device has a coupling piece 29 which is adapted to extend into and be secured in a cavity formed in the shaft rod 2 or 3.
  • the coupling piece 29 is mounted on the side support 5 preferably about a transverse to the side support 5 extending hinge axis 30 pivotally movable.
  • the hinge axis 30 is formed in the present embodiment by a welded to the legs 15, 16 cylindrical bearing piece 31, on which the coupling piece 29 is pivotally mounted.
  • the axis 30 is preferably at least in the vicinity of the central axis of the side support 5, but preferably at least within the outline defined by the cross-section of the sheet-metal bent part 9. In this case, the bearing piece 31, as FIG.
  • FIG. 5 illustrates the position of the central axis 32 with respect to the axis 30 of the bearing piece 31, which is rotatably held between the legs 15, 16. Its cylindrical outer surface can serve as a storage area.
  • the side support 5 has both at her in FIGS. 1 and 2 Upper end and at its lower end shaft rod connection devices on. To this, the shaft rods 2, 3 are connected, wherein a detachable, but dynamically fixed connection is made. In this way, the in FIG. 1 created apparent rectangular frame. This can be slightly deformed 29 due to the limited pivoting mobility of the coupling pieces 29 in the manner of a parallelogram.
  • the heald 1 is driven via the drive connection devices 25 at the upper or lower end of each side support 4, 5.
  • FIG. 8 For the preparation of a side support 5 is first off FIG. 8 produced at least partially blank 17 and bent along the bending lines 18, 19. Then, the terminal devices 25, 28 are attached, whereby the side support 5 is substantially finished. It preferably consists of relatively thin stainless steel sheet. All functionally essential power transmission is transmitted from the bent sheet metal part 9. The sheet metal bending part 9 transmits the drive movement of the drive connection device 25 the shaft rod connection devices 28. Any additional parts arranged in the cavity 13 have no function insofar.
  • FIG. 4 illustrates a modified embodiment of a side support 5, whose base body 8 has two bent sheet metal parts 9a, 9b. These are designed as flat, while straight and rod-like U-profiles, which enclose the cavity 13 together.
  • the two shell-like bent sheet metal parts 9a, 9b are each manufactured individually and, for example, by rivets 33, 34 connected to each other and held at a distance to each other.
  • FIG. 7 illustrates the cross section.
  • the sheet-metal bent parts 9a, 9b each have a flat portion 15, 16 which defines the flat sides 11, 12 on the outside. The respective two edges of these sections 15, 16 are angled at 90 °. This gives the sheet metal bending parts 9a, 9b the required rigidity. In the area of the shaft rod connection device 28, these edges are cut out.
  • the resulting opening 35 allows the coupling piece 29 passage. This is in turn, as described above, mounted pivotably about an axis 30. Incidentally, the applies to the FIGS. 1, 2 . 5 and 8 given description accordingly.
  • FIG. 6 illustrates a further embodiment of a bent sheet metal part 9 for a shaft rod 5. It is based on the U-profile with starting from the back 10, to each other parallel and extending from the back 10 at right angles extending legs 15, 16. In contrast to the U-profile according to FIG. 5 However, the legs 15, 16 are angled towards each other in their free, remote from the back 10 end. The so far inwardly bent edges 35, 36 may define a slot with each other. However, it is also possible to abut the edges together. At the joint, a weld can be provided, whereby a closed pipe profile is formed. Regardless, in each case, a cavity 13 is enclosed, in which at least the shaft rod connection devices 28 may be held.
  • edges 35, 36 may also be bent inwards and bear against the inner surfaces of the legs 15, 16.
  • the side support 5 is formed tube-like and encloses a cavity 13 gapless. It is also possible to provide the side supports at their upper as well as at their lower ends with a drive connection device. The upper drive connection devices may differ in their design from the lower drive connection devices. This opens up the possibility of driving the heald with different drive systems.
  • a side support 5 for a heald 1 is formed by a bent sheet metal part 9, which preferably has a U-shaped cross section. According to the preferred embodiment, it is made of stainless steel.
  • the open side of the U-profile is facing the shaft rods 2, 3.
  • shaft rod connecting devices 28 are fixed, which are preferably pivotally mounted.
  • the upper or lower end of the sheet metal bending part is part of a drive connection device 25, which is preferably formed in a straight extension of the sheet metal bending part 9 and integrally with the shaft rod 5.
