5. shaft frame according to claim 1, characterized in that a vibration-absorbing packing (10) between the end surface of the shaft rod (1) and the inside of the shaft support is inserted.
6. shaft frame according to claim 1, characterized in that the extension (3) consists of plastic.
The invention relates to an improvement on a shaft frame.
A shaft frame, as is generally used in weaving machines, consists of a pair of shaft rods 1 'and a pair of side shaft supports 2', as shown in FIG. 1A. An extension 3, at an inner end of a shaft support 2t, is connected to an inner hollow end portion 4 'of the shaft rod 1', so that the end portions of the shaft rods 1 'and the end portions of the shaft supports 2' are firmly connected to one another.
In the case of a conventional shaft frame, the outer circumference of the shaft supports 2 ', which slides freely in a guide groove of a guide device, is moved up and down in the vertical direction due to the actuation of the shaft supports due to the working movement of the dobby machine, the shaft rods 1, 1' being free or remain unguided.
This leads to the fact that the inertial force caused by the vertical shaft change movement on the upper and lower shaft rod tends to bend them into a convex shape, as is illustrated by the representations of FIGS. 1A and IB. The representation of Fig. I A corresponds to the state during the upward stroke during the vertical movement, while the representation of Fig. I B corresponds to the state during the downward stroke. This tendency to deflection is particularly strong on weaving machines that work at high speeds and are operated, for example, at a rotation speed of 300-600 rpm.
Furthermore, the strength of the shaft support 2 is too great to be bent out as shown in FIGS. 1A or 1B. As a rule, the strength of the shaft supports is greater than that of the transverse shaft rod 1 '. As a result, a strong bending moment acts on the connection area between the shaft supports 2 'and the shaft rods 1'. In addition, this strong bending moment is applied alternately, so that there is a possibility that the connection is damaged or destroyed.
If the connection is made by means of a screw and a nut in the connection area between the shaft rods and shaft supports, the nut can loosen due to the changing strong bending stresses at this connection point. With a partial solution, there is a corresponding noise development during the shaft movement.
Recently, the weaving speeds on newer weaving machines have been increased, so that all parts have to be made with greater strength. As a result, the parts become relatively large and heavy.
The increase in weight of the shaft frame also increases the inertial forces, so that the service life of the shaft frame is shortened. In addition, there is then a very strong noise exposure due to the friction that is present in the system of motion transmission.
In many cases, the weight of the shaft rods is reduced by using hollow bodies made of aluminum, but without being able to eliminate the tendency of the shaft rods to bend due to the inertial forces. Wear of the connection areas cannot be prevented in this way.
The present invention has for its object to eliminate the disadvantages of conventional shaft frames described. This object is achieved by the features of a shaft frame according to the definition of claim 1.
Due to the invention, the bending moment which acts on the connecting portion of the extension of the shaft supports and the inner end of the hollow section is greatly reduced because the contact surfaces of the extension can slide on the inner contact surface of the inner hollow end of the shaft rod and because the force that a relative rotation between the extension of the shaft support and the inner hollow end of the shaft rod enables, is greatly reduced or eliminated. As a result, the collapse of the stem frame can be prevented, the noise due to the friction is reduced, and the stem frame has a longer life. Furthermore, a shaft frame designed according to the invention can advantageously be used in high-speed weaving machines.
The invention is explained in more detail below on the basis of exemplary embodiments illustrated in the drawings. The same reference numerals have been used for corresponding parts in the different figures. It shows:
1A and 1B bending states of a shaft frame of a known design during the shaft movement,
2 shows a partially sectioned side view in the region of a corner of the shaft frame according to FIG. 4 according to the invention,
Fig. 3 is a cross section along the line A-A of Fig. 2, and
Fig. 4 is a side view of the shaft frame according to the invention.
2, 3 and 4, the numeral 1 denotes a shaft rod, which can consist of cold-drawn aluminum. The shaft supports are designated by the number 2. Numeral 3 indicates an extension that protrudes from the inner side of the shaft support 2 and is inserted into the inner hollow end section 4 of the shaft rod 1.
A horizontal pin 5 connects the extension 3 to the shaft rod 1. It is designed as a hollow cylinder and penetrates openings 6 and 7, each of which is drilled into the shaft rod 1 and the extension 3. Both ends of the pin 5
are caulked. A bushing 8 is inserted into the opening 7 drilled into the extension 3, which reduces the friction between the pin 5 and the inner surface of the opening 7.
Numeral 11 denotes a reinforcing rib which is formed in a body in or near the central section of the inner hollow end section 4 of the shaft rod 1.
The reinforcing rib 11 reinforces the shaft rod 1 and its end is cut sufficiently to allow the extension 3 to be inserted. With 12 a mounting rail for numerous strands is designated.
The upper surface M and the lower surface N, which respectively contact the upper surface H and the lower surface L of the hollow end section 4 of the shaft rod 1, are each formed on a circular surface, the center of which lies in the horizontal central axis of the pin 5. When the shaft rod bends upwards or downwards in an arc, its end section can rotate on the upper circular surface M and the lower surface N of the extension 3, the center of rotation being in the center line of the horizontal pin. In this way it is achieved that the shaft rod 1 can bend freely without friction and without generating noise.
The side shaft support 2 is made of synthetic resin material, and its outer circumference is slidably held in a groove which is provided in a guide device, not shown. Since the shaft frame according to the invention is intended for use at high working speeds, it goes without saying that the parts of the frame are designed with sufficient strength. For this purpose, for example, a metal guide element 9 with a U-shaped cross section is provided on the outer circumference of the shaft support 2, which is partially enclosed by the synthetic resin material, as shown in FIG. 3. The upper extension 3 and the lower extension 3 on the shaft support 2 are both formed in one piece with the shaft support.
The extension 3 can, however, also have been produced independently, so that it can be attached to the shaft support 2 using fastening elements, such as e.g. a screw-nut connection, was subsequently connected with a pin.
However, if the shaft rod 1 is made of a metallic material such as e.g. Aluminum, has been produced, so when the extension 3 is made, a metallic noise can also arise from metallic material if the shaft rod 1 is bent up or down during the shaft movement of the shaft frame. The metallic noise results from the contact and the rotation between the circular surfaces M and N of the extension 3 and the upper and lower surfaces on the inner hollow end section 4. The working conditions around the shaft frame deteriorate. In order to eliminate the noises caused by metallic contact, it is therefore preferable to form the extension 3 from plastic.
A packing material 10 or a package 10 is preferably inserted between the corner section of the shaft rod 1 and the inner end section of the shaft support 2.
This packing material is intended to reduce the noise caused by vibrations in the respective corner sections of the shaft frame during the shaft movement and to absorb the effect of the bending moment due to the deflection of the shaft rod 1, the transmission of the bending moment to the shaft support 2 being prevented. Finally, the packaging material should also help to maintain the rectangular shape of the shaft frame when it is installed in a high-speed weaving machine.
A shaft frame with the features of the present invention has at least the following four advantages:
1. Since the end of the shaft rod can rotate about the center line of the horizontal pin, bending of the shaft rod is not impeded due to the shaft movement, so that no bending moment can be transmitted to the connecting section between the shaft rod and the shaft support. A break in the connection section after a relatively short operating time is thus reliably prevented.
2. Since the shaft rod and the extension on the shaft support are connected to one another via a horizontal pin, there is no loosening of the connection by bending the shaft rod and accordingly the noise caused by a loosened connection is prevented.
3. Since the end or corner section of the shaft rod is held not only by the horizontal pin, but also by the upper and lower circular surface of the extension, the connection between the shaft rod and the shaft support is particularly stable.
4. Since the structure of the shaft frame is very simple, it can be manufactured inexpensively and easily assembled or disassembled.
