Definitions

  • the invention relates to a tennis training device, according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Tennis is known to have two basic strokes: the forehand and the backhand. Both can be performed so that the ball has a twist, i. a twist, gets.
  • the Ballelle is created by the impact of the tennis racket on the ball. The most important effects are Topspin (Drive, Forward Rotation) and Underspin (Slice, Backward Rotation).
  • the ball played with the topspin gets a forward spin
  • the ball played with the underspin gets a backward spin.
  • the tennis racket To give the ball a forward or backward twist, the tennis racket must be guided to the incoming ball accordingly: the topspin from bottom to top and the underspin from top to bottom.
  • the face of the tennis racket must be directed at ball touch approximately perpendicular to the ground. The effect is created by the friction between the stringing of the tennis racket and the ball, in the tennis language this is called "ball brushing".
  • the generic EP-A-0 236 756 discloses a tennis practice apparatus having in the embodiment of Figs. 6 and 7 or Fig. 8 a pivotally mounted on a stand pendulum, which is designed as a two-armed lever and at a free end with a tennis ball simulating, rotatably mounted, resilient or tennis ball-like surface and is provided upon impact of a tennis racket club face in rotation to be offset rotation element.
  • the pendulum arm is provided on the other free end with a weight and swinging when hitting the tennis racket impact surface on the rotary member from a starting position in a rotational direction and foundedschwenkbar by a restoring torque generated by the weight in the starting position where the rotating element can be taken again. So the student can also practice alone and in a small room, eg at home. To adjust the speed of the pendulum arm a relatively complicated mechanism is provided. A clearly defined swivel angle adjustment is not possible.
  • the present invention has for its object to provide a manufacturing and operation technically simple and inexpensive tennis exercise device of this kind, which is still improved in its function on.
  • the inventive tennis practice device allows beginners and children, in particular, to quickly learn the correct guidance of the tennis racket to the ball for the purpose of the desired spin distribution and to immediately recognize and correct any errors. It is an aid both for the tennis instructor, who can correct the execution of the blow immediately and give less explanations, as well as for the student himself, who also alone and in a small room, eg at home, practice and his muscles can strengthen.
  • the Inventive tennis practice device is simple and inexpensive, can be easily transported and worn, caused during practice virtually no noise and can to some extent replace a tennis wall.
  • the tennis practice device according to the invention is much easier to produce and to operate than the one according to the invention EP-A-0 236 756 ,
  • the rotation element simulating the tennis ball may be provided with a marker visualizing the twisting direction (forward twist or reverse twist, for example). Arrows, be provided.
  • a tennis practice apparatus 1 for learning topspin punches comprises a stand 2 comprising a base plate 3 (which could also be a frame) and a vertical support 4 fixed to the base plate 3.
  • the base plate 2 may, if necessary, if it should be placed on an uneven floor, equipped with leveling feet 5.
  • a pendulum arm 7 is arranged, which is pivotally mounted about a horizontal pendulum axis 6.
  • the pendulum axis 6 can be adjusted in height, including the vertical support 4 is provided with a number of corresponding, superposed openings 8.
  • the vertical support 4 could, however, also be telescopic, for example, for the height adjustment of the pendulum axle 6.
  • a rotary member 10 is rotatably mounted about a rotation axis 11 which has a resilient or tennis ball-like surface and is intended to simulate the tennis ball. It may be, for example, a disc made of metal or plastic with a rubber or felt surface. However, it is also suitable, e.g. the use of a standard floorball ball, which is stored rotatable about an axis.
  • a stop carrier 15 is arranged transversely to the same, at its two ends depending on a stop 16, 17 for the pendulum arm 7 is present.
  • damper elements In the stop area (either directly on the stops 16, 17 or on the surface between the stop carrier 15 and the pendulum arm 7) are mounted damper elements (not shown in the drawing).
  • the pendulum arm 7 is located with advantage in the starting position on the one stop 16 and can when hitting a in Fig. 1 Tennis racket impact surface 20 indicated in three positions 20a, 20b, 20c are pivoted on the rotation element 10 in the direction of rotation D 1 about a pivoting angle limited by the other stop 17, which is shown in FIG Fig. 1 is shown by dashed lines, after which he automatically, by the action of a restoring moment generating weights 13, is pivoted back into the starting position.
  • weights 13, eg plates can preferably not only be changed in their number, but also on the pendulum arm 7 in the direction of arrow P Fig. 1 , ie transversely to the longitudinal axis of the pendulum arm 7, are adjusted, whereby the force required in addition blows enlarged or reduced and the speed of the return movement of the pendulum arm 7 can be controlled
  • the stop carrier 15 can preferably be adjusted in height on the vertical support 4, for which purpose the vertical support 4 is provided with a number of fastening holes 18, which are optionally arranged one above the other in pairs. As a result, the pivoting angle of the pendulum arm 7 or the pendulum motion can be changed in the desired manner.
  • the stop carrier 15 can be adjusted horizontally with advantage also at any height relative to the vertical support 4, which allows an asymmetrical pendulum movement relative to the vertical support 4. The horizontal adjustment can be accomplished via a number of existing in the stop carrier 15 holes 19.
  • stops 16, 17 could be adjusted horizontally at the same height of the stop carrier 15.
  • the tennis practice device 1 now makes it possible to practice the topspin, ie the granting of the forward spin when the club is guided correctly.
  • the pendulum axis 6 is previously in accordance with the size of the exercising person in height set (via the openings 18 or the telescope).
  • the tennis racket or the tennis racket striking surface 20 must be brought after striking just before hitting the rotating member 10 in a bottom approximately perpendicular lower position 20a, in the vertical position to the bottom 20b, the rotary member 10 and stripe up into the in Fig. 1 20c, also perpendicular to the ground position are swung out, wherein the rotary member 10 is a forward rotation in the direction of arrow V to Fig. 1 receives. The correct twist distribution is immediately visible.
  • the base plate 3 must be designed so that it has enough space (distance F to Fig. 2 ) is available for the feet of the exercising person. It would also be possible to arrange the vertical support 4 asymmetrically, to one side of the base plate 3 (viewed transversely to the pendulum plane) and thereby to increase the distance F, in which case for the change forehand / backhand or right-handed / left-handed by shifting the weights or plates 13 of the pendulum 7 could be adjusted so that its initial position optionally also in Fig. 1 dashed position could correspond and the swiveling would take place in the twist distribution in the direction of rotation D 2 and the return pivoting in the direction of rotation D 1 .
  • a stand 2 'in turn comprises a levelable base plate 3, on which in this embodiment a gallows-shaped upright part 24 is arranged, which has a two-part vertical support 24a, 24b, a horizontal bar 24c and a vertical support 24d.
  • the tennis practice device 1 'in turn has a pivotable about a pendulum axis 6 pendulum 7, wherein the pendulum axis 6 is associated with the vertical support 24d.
  • the pendulum arm 7 is in turn provided at one end with the rotary member 10 and at the other end with the weights 13.
  • the pendulum axis 6 can also be adjusted in this device in height to take into account the size of the exercising person. This is done for example by adjusting the one part 24b of the vertical support relative to the arranged on the base plate 3 other part 24a, wherein the adjustment in turn via a number of superposed openings 8 'or continuously by telescopic training of the vertical support 24a, 24b can be done.
  • the pendulum arm 7 is under the action of its own weight in a vertical starting position, in which the rotary member 10 is located below, while the side of a fitted with a damper element stop 16 ', which has a number of superimposed mounting holes 18' on the vertical support 24d in height is adjustable.
  • the pendulum 7 can when hitting a in Fig. 3 in three positions 20a ', 20b', 20c 'indicated tennis racket face 20 are pivoted on the rotary member 10 in the direction of rotation D 1 by a pivot angle until it comes to rest on the stop 16' from the other side, which in Fig. 1 is shown by dashed lines, after which he automatically, by the action of a restoring moment generating weights 13, is pivoted back into the starting position.
  • the stopper 16 ' By the height adjustment of the stopper 16 ', the desired pendulum motion or the desired pivot angle can be adjusted. It would be possible, with a further, to the other side of the pendulum arm 7 as a stop 16 'lying stop (not shown) during swinging back to prevent the overshoot of the pendulum 7, which is not absolutely necessary.
  • the tennis racket or the face 20 of the tennis racket must be brought to the rotation element 10 in a nearly vertical (or in a up to 20 ° deviates from the vertical position) upper position 20a 'after Ausholen just before the Aüftown are, at the same angle standing (Pos. 20b '), the rotary member 10 strip while the rotation member 10 is a reverse rotation in the direction of arrow R. Fig. 3 and then swung upwards from a lower position 20c '.
  • positions of the face 20 correspond to the backhand of a right-hander.
  • the stopper 16 ' can be inserted into a row of superimposed mounting holes 18' lying on the other side of the pendulum arm 7, the pendulum arm 7 then hitting the striking face 20 in the direction of rotation D 2 is pivoted and then pivots back in the direction of rotation D 1 .
  • the beam 24c of the gallows-shaped stand 24 must be dimensioned so that there is sufficient space for the tennis racket.
  • a forehand device and a backhand device could be placed next to each other to practice both strokes and a correct grip change.
  • FIG. 5 A particularly advantageous solution shows Fig. 5 , In this Tennisübungs réelle 1 "7 two rotating elements 10 are provided at the free end of the pendulum arm, which are held by a spacer 30 to both sides of the pendulum arm 7 and the pendulum plane, in such a distance that the tennis racket with a sufficient distance d to the pendulum arm 7 or to the stand 7 can be swung past them also down.
  • This means that the device is suitable for learning both topspin and underspin and forehand and backhand - regardless of whether you are right-handed or left-handed is.
  • the weights 13 and their arrangement on the pendulum 7 also determine the necessary effort in the beating. But it would also be possible to use a spring (eg a torsion spring) for this purpose.
  • the tilting of the pendulum arm 7 could also be defined by stops by means of a rope on the one hand on the stand 2 (or on the vertical support 4) and on the other hand attached to the pendulum arm 7 cables.
  • the swivel angle could for example be adjusted by means of a cable clamp by changing the length of the cable connection as needed.
  • the pendulum stroke could be adjusted asymmetrically with respect to the vertical support 4, for example by adjusting corresponding cable contact bolts.
  • One of both cable fixings can be cushioned and / or dampened, e.g. through a foam element.
  • a direction of twisting forward spin V and reverse twist R
  • the inventive tennis practice device allows beginners and children, in particular, to quickly learn the correct guidance of the tennis racket to the ball for the purpose of the desired spin distribution and to immediately recognize and correct any errors. It is a tool both for the tennis instructor, who can correct the execution of the blow immediately and give less explanations, as well as for the student himself, also alone and in a small room, e.g. at home, while strengthening his muscles.
  • the inventive tennis practice device is simple and inexpensive, can be easily transported and worn, caused when practicing virtually no noise and can to a certain extent also replace a tennis wall.
  • the inventive tennis practice device is intended for individuals. However, it could also be two people (possibly without restoring moment weights) with the device 1 after Fig. 1 and 2 Topspin and with the device 1 "after Fig. 5 Topspin or Underspin "play" with each other.
