Definitions
- the invention relates to a kernmantel rope according to claim 1.
- a kernmantel cable that combines a plurality of core fiber bundles as a core and is surrounded by an intermediate jacket.
- To the intermediate coat is a braided outer coat of monofilament yarns. Core, sheath and jacket are not connected to each other and therefore slip each other, which proves to be disadvantageous in the use of kernmantel rope.
- a kernmantel rope which consists of a braided core, which in turn is formed by a plurality of core fiber bundles.
- the core is surrounded by a likewise braided coat.
- Core and jacket are not connected to each other and thus not slip resistant. In use, thickening or thinning is formed, which is disadvantageous.
- WO 03/027383 is a rope-like structure, in particular kernmantel ropes, cords and ropes, known in which the individual fibers, yarns or skeins of yarn are interconnected so that they are mutually slip-resistant.
- Such rope-like structures have an increased strength in the expansion behavior and increased knot strength.
- AT 358433 is a rope, in particular a mountain rope, known in a core-sheath construction, in which the sheath threads are guided so that they lie as lichen pattern patterning outward in color or for better retention of the sheath are located inside the core.
- the core yarns are held by tubular braids.
- ropes are known with a core and a sheath or cords, which are usually made of different braided strands, as a hollow braid without core or strands, or manufactured.
- loops can be formed at one end with so-called 'splicing' with such cords.
- Fig. 1 shows the schematic structure of a kernmantel rope according to the invention.
- a kernmantel cable 10 has an inner core region 1 and a jacket region 2 surrounding it.
- the core region 1 consists of at least one core 3, which in turn is formed from a multiplicity of fibers, yarns, twine strands and / or at least one cord, and which as a whole is referred to as the "inner core region 1 and the jacket region 2" so-called.
- Kernfasergetrucke 5 are designated.
- the jacket region 2 comprises a jacket 4, which in turn is formed from a large number of fibers, yarns, yarn strands and / or at least one further cord, and will be referred to in the following as a so-called sheath fiber structure 6.
- Core fiber structure 5 and sheath fiber structure 6 consist of longitudinal fibers and are summarized below as longitudinal fiber structure 40.
- the jacket is mounted on the at least one core mutually slip-resistant. It can also be several coats with different fibers slip resistant with the at least one core are mutually non-slip.
- At least one further fiber 50 which is essentially transverse to the longitudinal fiber structure 40, or a fiber bundle holds the longitudinal fibers in the longitudinal fiber structure 40 against each other, or mutually together.
- the term 'fiber 50' will always also be understood as a fiber bundle.
- the fiber 50 is substantially transverse to the longitudinal fibers 40 to the longitudinal fibers or extends at an almost arbitrary angle to the longitudinal fibers, but usually at an angle which is less than 45 °. But it can also be an angle of 45 ° to 90 ° or exactly 90 °. More specific arrangements of the fiber 50 will be described later.
- slipping of the mantle on the core is one of kernmantel ropes - like already stated - known, but highly undesirable property.
- Suitable fibers include PBO, Polyolefin Polyamide, Polyester, Dyneema, Aramid, Vectran and Zylon for high strength applications, Aramid, Nomex and monofilament yarns for heat and flame resistant applications, polypropylene, polyamide, polyester and monofilament UV resistant, polypropylene and nonwoven yarns Monofilament yarns for buoyant and polyamide, polyester and monofilament yarns for cut and shear resistant applications.
- Transverse fiber bundles consist of monofilament, multifilament or staple fibers. They are twisted, twisted or processed as a parallel fiber bundle. Also mixed fibers of different fibers are used. Any combination of individual fibers is conceivable.
- the primary function of the fiber 50 lies in this Abbindvorgang.
- the same fiber after the 'setting' continues to the next Abbindstelle, what the fiber is usually parallel to the longitudinal fibers, which is equivalent to a 'displacement' of Abbindstellen.
- This continuation of the fiber 50 is a secondary function, which is why the term 'substantially transverse' appears apt.
- the individual yarn strands and fibers used for this purpose which may vary in thickness, strength and color, are connected virtually immovably to the longitudinal fibers of the longitudinal fiber structure 40.
- Fig. 2 shows a first embodiment of a Kernmantelseils with an intermediate sheath and transverse other fibers.
- the core 3 has high performance fibers in the core fiber structure 5 with fibers such as Polyamide (PA), Polyester (PES), Low Density Polyester (PEN), Aramid, Dyneema, Vectran or Zylon.
- the intermediate sheath 8 consists of so-called. Damping yarns, such as monofilament or elastic yarns which have a high compression property, while the sheath 4 of sheath fibers in the sheath structure 6, such as polyester or polyamide, consisting of a high abrasion, cutting or Have edge resistance.
- the high-performance fibers of the core fiber structure 5 and the sheath fibers of the sheath structure 6, also referred to as longitudinal fibers of the longitudinal fiber structure 40, are bound or wrapped by further approximately transversely lying fibers 50, wherein the fibers 51 surround the longitudinal fibers as a whole outside, while others Fibers 51 'surround the longitudinal fibers only alternately, ie it is only every second outer longitudinal fiber tied off before. As fibers 51, 51 'polyamide was used.
- the at least one further fiber 50 has a higher strength compared to the longitudinal fibers of the longitudinal fiber structure 40 and the longitudinal fibers wrap and bind differently, a kernmantel rope with a higher flexural strength and strength and thus a higher rigidity results.
- the core is e.g. Made of high-strength aramid fibers and the one, or at most several coats of heat-resistant Nomex fibers, so the Kernmantelseil is particularly well suited for rescue operations as a heat-resistant rope in the fire department and army.
- the mixing, or compound, of the core fibers in at least one cladding region may be small, i. less than 3%. It does not need to be present at the same time a mixing of sheath fibers in the core area. If this is true, it is also said that there is little mixing, i. it is less than 3%. Core fibers are then present in at least one jacket region, while sheath fibers are present in the core region. This applies above all to applications of dynamic and static kernmantel ropes used today.
- Fig. 3 shows a second embodiment of a Kernmantelseils of the same materials of different thickness and strength.
- a Kernmantelseil has longitudinal fibers, wherein the outer sheath fibers are thicker than the Core fibers. The outer sheath fibers are tied alternately with the other fiber 50. This results in a higher strength in the jacket area.
- the kernmantel rope may also have a surface similar to a twisted rope.
- Core and sheath fibers are made of polyester and the transverse fibers of polyamide.
- the longitudinal fibers of the longitudinal fiber structure 40 are generally mixed as core and sheath fibers, wherein the sheath fibers form part of the core and the core fibers form part of the sheath. They are tied simultaneously by at least one further fiber 50 having a higher strength with respect to the longitudinal fibers, the further fiber having a different thickness, strength or extensibility.
- Fig. 4 shows the schematic structure of a low-expansion kernmantel rope.
- a kernmantel rope consists of individual fibers, yarns or strands of yarn as longitudinal fibers of the longitudinal fiber structure 40, which are connected to one another or are present such that the fibers, yarns or yarn strands are mutually non-slip.
- At least one further transverse or transverse fiber 50 or a fiber bundle binds the longitudinal fibers over and over again, as a result of which the longitudinal fibers are held immovably to one another or are held in place.
- In appearance it looks like a twisted or braided rope, but it has at least 10% higher tensile strength and at least 10% higher knot strength over conventional ropes.
- a positive feature is that it does not fray or turn up at the cut end. With this rope construction as many yarns are parallel or are additionally stretched or pre-stretched.
- the fibers in the core region are said to be extremely parallel and are partially pre-stretched, while the fibers are wrapped around the cladding region, thereby being more flexible, abrasion and cut resistant, and also significantly increasing UV resistance.
- Does the at least one further fiber 50 compared to the longitudinal fibers of the longitudinal fiber structure 40 has a higher elasticity and binds them to the longitudinal fibers From a core made of high-strength aramid fibers and a shell of heat-resistant Nomex fibers or abrasion-resistant, cut-resistant and / or flame-retardant, heat-, acid- or UV-resistant fibers and / or yarns results in a typical fire brigade.
- Other typical applications are found generally in rescue operations as ropes instead of steel cables, as a load cable with small bending changes or as a replacement of twisted ropes.
- the core has ultra-high strength fibers, some of which are pre-stretched or stretched, and if the sheath is made of UV-resistant, abrasion-resistant and cut-resistant yarns and / or fibers, typical characteristics of a sailboat result.
- Fig. 5 shows a third embodiment of a Kernmantelseils with particularly fall-absorbing properties.
- a kernmantel rope can also be made as fall-damping as possible from yarns which consist of as many fibrils as possible and form a cord 20, wherein the core fiber structures are often looped around with at least one further fiber 50 or a fiber bundle.
- a plurality of fibers 50 different in material and properties, are used to enclose one or more of the cords in any pattern.
- cords are used in the core of a kernmantel rope according to the invention. Thanks to the good damping properties achieved, this construction is ideal for dynamic mountain ropes. Because of the good fall-damping properties, yarns of polyamide, polyester or POY yarns are predominantly used here.
- Fig. 6 shows a kernmantel rope with a label.
- a longitudinal fiber structure 40 by means of the at least one further fiber 50 or a fiber bundle, an inscription 52 has been worked into the outer surface of the structure continuously in the longitudinal direction of the kernmantel rope.
- the good readability is substantially supported by a clever color choice of the fiber 50 and / or individual longitudinal fibers.
- Fig. 7 shows a Kernmantelseil with a running name.
- a running designation 53 has been incorporated into the outer surface of the structure of the kernmantel rope by means of the at least one further fiber. This is eg a ring marking with running numbering.
- the surfaces of the intervals 54 ', 54 "between the designations have been identified, like the designations 53, on the one hand, and on the other hand, by a corresponding incorporation into the structure of the surfaces, for example the surface of the interval 54' appears hatched and those of the interval 54 "dashed longitudinally.
- Such a design of the cable surface is advantageous and very user-friendly.
- Fig. 8 shows the schematic structure of a sailboat or an extremely static high performance rope.
- Kernmantel ropes, similarly braided, twisted ropes, or similar construction or design are made in place of the standard core construction of high performance static ropes with minimum elongation so that the extremely high strength high performance fibers in the core are very parallel and have significantly reduced elongation and tear strength This results in improved static properties even with the same or reduced diameters.
- These longitudinal fibers of the longitudinal fiber structure 40 may be pre-stretched or pre-stretched.
- the fibers of the sheath can give much more abrasion-resistant, moisture-insensitive and cut-resistant properties, whereby core 3 and sheath 4 are connected to one another by one or more yarns running in the other direction, or further fibers 50, such that even with very different fiber properties Sheath slip or additional stretching may occur.
- FIG. 9 shows a Kernmantelseil with a cavity.
- a longitudinal fiber structure 40 has in the core 3 very high strength high performance fibers with a significantly reduced elongation and a higher tensile strength, resulting in improved static properties even at the same or reduced diameters. These core fibers surround a cavity 55 located in the center of the core.
- the longitudinal fibers of the core, intermediate sheath and sheath are connected to one another by at least one further transverse fiber 50 such that no sheath slip occurs even with very different fiber properties.
- the intermediate sheath consists of different or the same fibers as those of the core or the sheath. This results in a soft, flexible structure which allows the formation of a damping cushion, or an air cushion under the jacket and coupled with the abrasion-resistant, edge-resistant, cut-resistant fibers and fiber structures of the shell has an extremely improved edge strength.
- the fiber structure of the intermediate sheath in this case has finely structured micro-cavities or micro-bubbles.
- the cavity 55 is also referred to as a 'soft core center'.
- the inventive construction looks like braided ropes in appearance. Such Kernmantelseil is particularly cut resistant and is particularly suitable for rescue missions of any kind.
- FIG. 10 shows a Kernmantelseil with a change in the cross section.
- a kernmantel rope having a substantially circular cross section 61 changes the cross section 63 to an oval or flat shape during the manufacturing process at at least one arbitrary point 62.
- the rope can be eg easier and better attached, sewn or clamped.
- the changes in cross section can be made once or several times.
- the oval shape can become a flat shape and later a round shape.
- the transverse fibers 50, or fiber bundles often bind the longitudinal fibers, so that the kernmantel rope avon appears to be surrounded by a network.
- Kernmantel ropes of this type are sewable and do not need to be spliced, which is a major simplification in the assembly for end connections.
- Kernmantelseile can be produced according to the invention, the appearance Similar to a twisted rope and consist in the core area of other extreme high stress fibers such as high strength aramid fibers or Vectran, Zylon.
- the protective jacket may consist of fibers and / or yarns which form a UV protection or a particularly abrasion-resistant jacket.
- At the section of such Kernmantelseile are sewable and therefore need not be spliced.
- such a Kernmantelseil does not turn on the interface.
- the embodiments of such Kernmantelseile are extremely diverse and can not be enumerated here conclusively.
- Kernmantel cables according to the invention are used in work safety, in water, sailing and mountain sports, as well as in police, fire and army. Kernmantel ropes according to the invention are used for leisure and hobby, mainly as a replacement of braided or twisted ropes.

-
Fig. 6 zeigt ein Kernmantelseil mit einer Beschriftung.
Fig. 9 zeigt ein Kernmantelseil mit einem Hohlraum.
