Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a bag, especially a plastic bag, in particular a garbage storage bag, of the type called "sliding link", according to the preamble of claims 1 and 5, and a continuous manufacturing process of a Bag chain according to claim 9.
  • a bag especially a plastic bag, in particular a garbage storage bag, of the type called "sliding link", according to the preamble of claims 1 and 5, and a continuous manufacturing process of a Bag chain according to claim 9.
  • plastic bags generally comprise two plastic faces connected to one another on their periphery, leaving an opening zone.
  • These bags are most often rectangular in shape, although other forms are possible: for example, the bottom of the bag may have a rounded shape.
  • the bags can be prepared from two rectangular sheets of plastic material by welding three sides of the rectangle and leaving the fourth side open. They can also be prepared from a single sheet of plastic material that is folded, either to form the bottom of the bag, or to form a lateral side of the bag, two of the other sides being heat-welded. In known manner, in the bags, the faces can be connected together by a bellows at the bottom and / or at a lateral side, preferably both lateral sides.
  • the link may consist of a single strand, the two ends of the link being fixed between them. It may also consist of two strands, each strand being fixed by each of its ends to the sheath.
  • the link is preferably a plastic tape capable of being heat-welded.
  • the sheath is usually prepared by folding the sheet of plastic parallel to the opening and heat-sealing parallel to the edge of the film.
  • the sheath can be continuous or formed of two separate parts. This is particularly the case when the bags are formed by heat-sealing the lateral sides and the sheath is formed by folding the plastic sheet before heat-sealing the lateral sides.
  • a bag of the sliding link type in which the sliding link is made of elastic or extensible material.
  • This closed-loop elastic link is characterized by the fact that the length of its periphery is less than that of the opening of the bag, so that the user must elastically extend the sliding link to fix it around the periphery of the bag.
  • a receptacle for example a bin.
  • the above elastic sliding link bags have a double disadvantage, due to the presence of lateral recesses, relatively deep, which are formed on the longitudinal edge of the bag opening.
  • the presence of these relatively wide recesses on the one hand has the disadvantage of not allowing complete closure of the bag, when the sliding links are knotted after filling the bag. Indeed, during the transport or the storage of the bags filled with waste, waste could escape by these abutments.
  • the presence of these relatively wide recesses decreases the length of sheath in contact with the link, and therefore weakens the bag when it is transported full using the elastic sliding link as a handle.
  • German utility model DE-202 07 942-U1 provides recesses arranged in the vicinity and remote from the lateral edges of the bag, so that the elastic sliding links remain linked to their lateral ends at the lateral edges of the bag, the welds of the elastic links delimiting the length at rest of the elastic links being accessible at said recesses.
  • the ends of the sliding links are no longer free, but connected to the side edges of the bag.
  • the invention aims to provide an elastic sliding link bag for elastically securing the periphery of the bag on a receptacle, and non-elastic sliding link to ensure the closure and transport of the bag filled with waste.
  • the object of the invention is, according to a first embodiment, a bag consisting of two faces interconnected over their entire periphery, with the exception of a longitudinal edge, the bag having an opening opening on said longitudinal edge, the two sides of the bag being welded to each other along the two opposite lateral edges, each face having a sheath bordering said opening and in which is disposed a sliding link of elastic material, each elastic link being prehensile from the outside by at least one lateral recess formed through said sheaths, in the vicinity of a lateral edge of the bag, the ends of the elastic links being connected to each other at each lateral recess by a so-called intermediate weld zone so that the elastic links form a closed loop whose length of the periphery is less than that of the longitudinal edge of the
  • the area of overlap is not related to the sheath at the side edge.
  • said non-elastic links are prehensile by a recess formed through the sheaths.
  • the elastic sliding link serves essentially to elastically maintain the bag on a receptacle, while the non-elastic link is used essentially for closing the bag and its porting; it is then possible to reduce the width of the elastic link, which must not bear the heavy loads during transport.
  • the connection between the two links at the level of the overlap zone is of the type with low adhesive bonding, for example detachable during the tensioning of the elastic link.
  • it may be an adhesive used for repositionable adhesive tapes.
  • the connection between the two links at the level of the overlap zone is of the type with adhesive bonding, detachable by providing a source of heat energy, before use of the bag.
  • the elastic links comprise, in the immediate vicinity of the overlap zone, a chopped precut line.
  • This pre-cut line constitutes a weakening line capable of tearing during a simple tensioning of the elastic link.
  • the overlap zone is of a temporary nature and is not intended to constitute a permanent connection zone between the elastic link and the walls of the bag, the elastic link not being integral with the walls of the bag, at a recess during his use.
  • the present invention also provides, according to a second embodiment, that on each side of the bag, the elastic link and the non-elastic link are superimposed along the longitudinal edge of the bag, so that the elastic links form a loop.
  • each lateral recess being spaced from the adjacent lateral edge of the bag by a section of sheath in which is disposed only the non-elastic link, the ends of the elastic links at the lateral recess n. not being tied to the side edge next to the bag.
  • the bag comprises a recess in the middle part of each sheath, to facilitate the gripping of the non-elastic links.
  • the longitudinal weld is continuous, or non-continuous.
  • This manufacturing method has the advantage of allowing the continuous manufacture of a chain of double sliding bags, one of which is elastic, using a single strand connecting an elastic tape and a non-elastic tape. Indeed, it is more difficult to continuously manufacture a chain of bags with an elastic sliding link, since the tensioning of this elastic link may cause defects in the thermo-welds.
  • the fact that the elastic tape is temporarily carried by the non-elastic tape during the manufacture of the bag makes it possible to tension the complete strand, exerting a traction force essentially on the non-elastic tape of the composite strand.
  • the temporary overlap area can be suppressed, for example by a heat input if it is a glue detachable under heat, or at the same time.
  • a heat input if it is a glue detachable under heat
  • the temporary overlap area can be suppressed, for example by a heat input if it is a glue detachable under heat, or at the same time.
  • use by the user by exerting a simple tensioning of the elastic link, if it is a weakly adhesive glue, or by tearing the connection between the elastic link and the non-elastic link if a line pre-cut is provided for this purpose.
  • the method consists in disposing in step b) above a strand whose elastic band is provided with a longitudinal precut line in the immediate vicinity of the partial overlap zone.
  • the bag 1 which does not form part of the invention, consists of two substantially parallel rectangular faces 1a, 1b, the faces 1a, 1b being constituted by the same sheet of plastic material which is folded to form the bottom 1c of the bag, this bottom 1c being rounded when the bag is in the carrying position, as shown on the figure 2 .
  • the faces 1a and 1b are brought against each other and are connected at the bottom 1c by a flat fold, as shown in FIG. figure 1 .
  • the faces 1a and 1b are interconnected by corresponding welds 2a and 3a. These welds 2a and 3a extend substantially over the entire height of the bag 1 and form a vertical line, but these welds may not be linear but extend over the entire lateral marginal zone of the bag.
  • the periphery of the bag comprises an opening zone 1d defined along the longitudinal edge of each face 1a and 1b, the longitudinal edge of each face 1a and 1b extending at the level of the zone of opening 1d, by an inner fold 4, one end is welded to the corresponding face of the bag by a longitudinal weld 4a.
  • This fold 4 extends beyond the longitudinal weld 4a by a skirt 4b, which can be free or itself welded to the corresponding face of the bag.
  • the internal fold 4 is welded to the inner wall of each side of the bag by two weld lines, the lower longitudinal weld line 4a and a longitudinal intermediate weld line 7. Between the longitudinal edge of the opening of the bag and the first weld line 7, the fold 4 forms a first sleeve 8 in which is disposed an elastic sliding link 16. Between the two weld lines 4a and 7, the fold forms a second sleeve 5 in which is disposed a link The two sleeves 5 and 8 together form the sheath 4. Since the link in non-elastic plastic material 6 is connected to the lateral edges 2 and 3 by the transverse welding lines 2a. and 3a, the intermediate weld line 7 is not essential and could be removed.
  • the longitudinal welds 4a and 7 are continuous over the entire width of the bag. They can also be non-continuous, in broken lines or in dashed lines.
  • FIG. 1 and 2 there is shown a recess 12, substantially in the middle portion of each sheath 5 of the sheath 4, the recess 12 passing through the faces 1a and 1b of the bag, on each side thereof.
  • this median recess 12 does not cross the inner wall of the fold 4 but could be provided, alternatively, such recess 12 completely through.
  • This recess is represented here of substantially circular shape, but it could have any shape, for example oval or square, or semicircular, and it is not necessary that the sliding link 6 is apparent throughout its height through the 12.
  • This recess 12 may be straddling the two sleeves 5 and 8 or may even completely cover the sheath 5.
  • the main function of the elastic link 16 is to allow the periphery of the bag to be elastically adjusted to the edge of a receptacle, whereas the non-elastic link 6 will be used mainly to carry the bag once filled with waste and / or or to tie the links 6 in order to close the bag. Taking into account the arrangement of the two links 6 and 16, it is understood that closing the bag will be completely closed, avoiding or limiting the risk of falling waste out of the bag during transport or storage. When transporting the full bag, it is the other plastic link 6 which is used to prevent deformation of the elastic link.
  • the reference numeral I indicates the inside of the bag in the open position.
  • the bag 1 has two lateral recesses 17 whose longitudinal extension allows for an intermediate thermo-welding 19 between the two strands of the sliding link 16, at a distance from their end welds 18 which are in the vertical extension of the lateral welds 2a and 3a of the bag.
  • the spacing L2 between the two welds 19 on the sliding link 16 is substantially smaller than the length L1 between the welds of the two lateral edges 2 and 3 of the bag, which makes it possible to produce a closed-loop sliding elastic link having a periphery of shorter length than the opening of the bag.
  • the free ends of the sliding link 16 are always welded at 18 in the extension of the weld lines 2a and 3a, but these welds 18 have no effect, because it is the welds 19 which define the closed loop of the sliding link 16. D ' elsewhere, the ends of the sliding link 16 beyond the transverse welds 19 could be cut, as shown for example in the German utility model DE-201 10 350-U1 .
  • the bag 1 could have a single lateral recess for gripping the elastic link 16.
  • Each lateral recess can have any shape, including quarter-circle, quarter-ellipse or rectangular.
  • the two links 6 and 16 are different in color from the color of the constituent sheet of the faces 1a and 1b and the two links can themselves be distinguished by different colors.
  • the link 16 is made of an elastic material, for example ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) or thermo-plastic rubber, or elastomer polyolefin, or else a mixture of elastomer rubber and low density polyethylene , as indicated for example in the patent US 5133607 .
  • the other non-elastic link 6 is, for example, plastic material, for example high density polyethylene.
  • the fold 4 forms a sheath with a single housing or sheath 5, in which are arranged the two non-elastic links 6 and elastic 16 which are interconnected by a marginal overlap zone 120, the two links 6 and 16 being offset in the direction of the height of the bag 101, the elastic link 16 is preferably provided in the immediate vicinity of the longitudinal edge of the opening 1d of the bag.
  • the elastic link 16 has a substantially reduced height compared to that of the non-elastic link 6, since the elastic link 16 is not generally used to carry the bag once it is filled.
  • the bag 101 of the figure 3 is essentially distinguished from bag 1 of the figure 1 in that each lateral recess 17 extends in the region of the lateral edges 2 and 3 to the weld zone of said lateral edges with the non-elastic link 6, so as to reveal the overlap zone 120.
  • each transverse weld line 2a and 3a on the side edges of the bag can not simultaneously weld the elastic band 16 with said side edges.
  • the zone of partial partial overlap or marginal is obtained by a layer of adhesive with low adhesive power between the two strands 6 and 16, which allows detachment and detachment of the strand 16 and therefore its free sliding in the sheath 4 when the user enters the link 16 to turn it on around the periphery of a bin, for example.
  • the adhesive layer at the level of the partial overlap zone 120 has a high adhesive power, but that this layer of glue can be degraded or sublimated, by heat input, in particular by heat input, at the end of the process of manufacturing a chain of bags, so that the elastic link 16 is already detached from the non-elastic link 6, before use by the user.
  • the elastic band 16 may comprise a precut line or a weakening line 121, in the immediate vicinity of the overlap zone 120, in order to allow the separation of the elastic band 16 and its free sliding in the sheath 4, during a tensioning of the elastic link 16 by the user.
  • FIG 8 represents a step of a continuous manufacturing process of a bag chain from which may be derived the aforementioned bag 101.
  • each half sleeve circular or elliptical portions are cut at regular intervals corresponding to one bag width (or twice the width of a bag if only one lateral recess is provided per bag) to form semi-circular or semi-elliptical recesses after folding the longitudinal edge of the sheet of the half-sleeve inwards, as shown in FIG. figure 8 .
  • the shape of the blank can be any, for example square, rectangular or other.
  • This strand here consists of a strip of elastic material 16 pre-glued on a zone of marginal overlap on another plastic strip 6, along its entire length, the elastic material strip being optionally pre-cut, as indicated with reference to the figure 5 upper.
  • thermo-welds 2a and 3a are made at each semi-circular or semi-elliptical cut, in order to divide them into two lateral recesses 17 in quarter-turn. circle or quarter ellipse each corresponding to an adjacent bag of the chain.
  • Each pair of thermo-welds 2a or 3a is such that the individual bags 101 can then be separated by transverse cutting or by pre-cutting between the heat-welds of each pair.
  • the machine also performs transverse thermo-welds limited to the portion corresponding to the elastic ribbon 16 of the strand to form the aforementioned thermo-welds 19 limiting the length of the periphery at rest of the elastic link.
  • Such a method has the advantage of being able to perform the heat weldings on the bag chain, without risk of degrading these thermo-welds due to an uncontrolled tensioning of the elastic link, the latter being supported by the ribbon no elastic which undergoes most of the tensioning while scrolling in the machine.
  • a bag 201 which differs in particular from the preceding bags in that only one lateral recess 217 is provided, although the other bags 1 and 101 may also have only one lateral recess, and the bag 201 may also to have two.
  • This bag 201 is further distinguished by the fact that the two elastic and non-elastic links 6 are superimposed along the longitudinal edge 1d of the opening of the bag, and are not offset in the transverse direction, so that the elastic link 16 forms a closed loop circumscribed by the non-elastic link 6, as better visible on the figure 7 .
  • the free end of the elastic sliding link 16 at the recess 217 in each sheath 4 is not connected to the side edge 2 of the bag.
  • each sliding link 16 is welded at one end to the bag 201 at the side edge 3, simultaneously with the heat-sealing of the weld line 3a.
  • each sliding link 16 is accessible from the outside, thanks to the lateral recess 217 formed in the walls of each sheath 4, along the free edge of the opening zone 1d of the bag.
  • each recess 217 is obtained by cutting, in a semicircle shape, the two walls of each fold 4.
  • the recesses 217 may have any shape, for example rectangular or other.
  • the lateral recess 217 is formed through the sheaths 4, in the vicinity of the lateral edge 2 of the bag, but at a distance from the latter, so as to provide a section of sheath 220 between the lateral edge 2 and the lateral recess. 217.
  • the two links 6 and 16 are welded at one end with the side edge 3 of the bag along the transverse weld 3a.
  • the opposite ends of the two strands of the elastic link 16 are welded together along a so-called intermediate transverse weld 19 at the lateral recesses 217.
  • the distance between the transverse weld 19 and the weld 3a on the lateral edge opposite is substantially less than the length L1 between the welds 2a and 3a of the two side edges 2 and 3 of the bag, so that the sliding link 16 defines a closed loop whose periphery is shorter than the length of the longitudinal edge of the bag.
