Definitions
- the invention is based on a valve for controlling fluids according to the closer defined in the preamble of claim 1. Art.
- Such a valve is known from practice and serves for example as a control module of a fuel injection valve, in particular a common rail injector for a diesel engine of a motor vehicle.
- the valve designed as a control module comprises a housing serving as a holding body, in which a receiving space for a piezoelectric actuator unit and a hydraulic coupler module is formed.
- the hydraulic coupler module comprises a control piston, which is actuated by means of the actuator unit, and an actuating piston, which via a hydraulic coupler is operatively connected to the actuating piston and acts on a valve closure member which cooperates with at least one valve seat. In the closed position, the valve closure member blocks fluid flow from a valve space to a return passage.
- a pressure relief takes place in the valve chamber and thus in a valve chamber connected to the valve control chamber, which serves to actuate a valve control piston or a nozzle needle.
- the valve control chamber and the valve control piston are associated with a nozzle module of the injection valve, at the tip of nozzles for injecting fuel into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine are arranged.
- the valve control space encloses the free end of the valve spool and is connected to a high pressure port via a fuel supply line to contain fuel.
- the position of the valve spool can be changed and so the fuel injection can be controlled, which takes place via the leading to the combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine openings of the injector.
- the position of the valve control piston and thus that of the nozzle needle is thus determined with the control module.
- the valve chamber of the control module and the valve control chamber of the nozzle module are connected to each other via an outlet throttle.
- the coupler module and the piezoelectric actuator unit are immersed in the operation of fuel. This is necessary with the hydraulic coupler module since arranged between the actuator piston and the actuating piston of the hydraulic cushion designed as a hydraulic coupler, which loses hydraulic fluid or fuel during actuation via a leak and then has to be refilled, which takes place by means of the surrounding the coupler module fuel.
- the piezoelectric actuator unit comprises a piezoelectric actuator, which must not come into contact with fuel. For these reasons, the actuator unit so far has a complex designed sleeve whose tightness must also be checked before installation in the holding body.
- a fluid control valve comprising an actuator unit and a coupler module having an actuator piston and an actuating piston disposed in a receiving space, the actuator unit actuating a valve closure member which in the closed position blocks fluid flow from a valve space to a return flow channel wherein the actuating piston is guided by means of two seals in the receiving space, so that the actuator unit is sealed against the ingress of fuel.
- valve of the actuating piston is guided by means of a seal in the receiving space, has the advantage that Although a flushing of the hydraulic coupler module can be done with the liquid and thus a refilling of the hydraulic coupler is ensured, however, the portion of the receiving space in which the piezoelectric actuator unit is arranged, is sealed so that they do not come into contact with the liquid can. An encapsulation of the actuator unit is therefore no longer necessary.
- the actuator unit can thus be designed without metal sleeve and without bellows or membrane for sealing. Also eliminates the previously required, elaborate laser welding work. Furthermore, the actuator unit no longer needs to be tested for its helium tightness prior to installation.
- the valve according to the invention can be used in particular in an injection valve which is part of a common rail injection system of a diesel internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle.
- the seal In the axial direction of the actuating piston, the seal is fixed to the actuating piston by being arranged between an annular collar of the actuating piston and a shim of the actuating piston.
- any ring seal can be used as a seal, which can accommodate the stroke of the actuating piston.
- the stroke of the actuating piston is, for example, a maximum of 50 microns in an injection valve.
- the seal is designed as an O-ring seal or diaphragm or bellows seal.
- the receiving space in the region of the coupler module is preferably formed stepped, with a first diameter and a second, compared to the first diameter reduced diameter, the seal in the area of the second diameter is arranged. The seal must then slide during assembly only over a short path along the wall of the receiving space along, which minimizes the risk of leaks.
- the receiving space advantageously has an insertion bevel, which forms a transition between the area with the first diameter and the area with the second diameter and on which the seal slides during assembly in the direction of its installation position.
- a fuel injection valve 10 is shown, which is designed for installation in an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle not shown here and is used as a common rail injector for injecting preferably diesel fuel into a combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine.
- the fuel injection valve 10 comprises for this purpose as essential units a nozzle module 11 and a valve control module 12.
- the nozzle module 11 comprises a nozzle body 13, in which a so-called valve control piston 14 is guided axially displaceable, which forms a structural unit with a nozzle needle 15, by means of a to the combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine leading opening or nozzle 16 of the injection valve 10 is controllable.
- valve spool 14 The free end of the valve spool 14 is guided in a sleeve 17 to which a valve spool 14 enclosing coil spring 18 is supported with one end, which is supported at its other end to a support 19 which is fixedly connected to the valve spool 14.
- the nozzle module 11 is connected via a union nut 20 with the valve control module 12, wherein between the nozzle module 11 and the valve control module 12, a throttle plate 21 is arranged.
- the throttle plate 21 defines together with the sleeve 17 and the valve spool 14 a valve control chamber 22.
- the pressure conditions in the valve control chamber 22 determine the position of the valve spool 14 and the nozzle needle 15 fixed.
- the valve control chamber 22 is connected via a feed passage 23 having a feed passage 24 for fuel with a high-pressure accumulator not shown here, the so-called common rail.
- the fuel supply line 24 further leads fuel to the tip of the nozzle needle 15 so that it is injected upon release of the opening 16 through the nozzle needle 15 into the combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine.
- valve control chamber 22 is further connected via a not visible in the drawing flow channel containing an outlet throttle, connected to a valve chamber 25, to the Also connected to the fuel supply line 24 bypass 26 leads and which is associated with the valve control module 12.
- the inlet channel 23, leading to the valve chamber 25 drain passage and the bypass 26 pass through the throttle plate 21st
- a valve closing member 27 is arranged, which is biased by a coil spring 28 in the direction away from the throttle plate 21 and with a first, formed as a flat seat valve seat 29 and a second, designed as a conical seat valve seat 30 cooperates.
- the valve control module 12 further comprises a holding body 31, in which the fuel supply line 24 is formed and which has a receiving space 32 for a piezoelectric actuator unit 33 and a coupler module 34.
- the piezoelectric actuator unit 33 is connected to electrical control lines 35 and is connected via an actuator head 36 with the hydraulic coupler module 34 in operative connection.
- the hydraulic coupler module 34 comprises a first piston 37, referred to as an adjusting piston, which is in operative connection via a coupler 38 designed as a hydraulic pad to a second piston 39, referred to as an actuating piston, wherein the actuating piston 39 has a smaller diameter than the actuating piston 37.
- the adjusting piston 37 and the actuating piston 39 are guided in a cylindrical sleeve 40 which rests on an intermediate plate 41 and are formed in the radial bores 42, the one downstream of the valve seat 30 arranged return space 43 with the outside of the cylindrical sleeve 40 connect. In the closed position, the valve closing member 27 blocks a fluid flow between the valve chamber 25 and the return chamber 43.
- a return opening 44 branches off, which is formed in the holding body 31 and leads to a return line 45 likewise formed in the holding body 31 and oriented axially , which in turn leads to a fuel tank not shown here.

Abstract
Description
- Figur 1 ein Einspritzventil mit einem Ventil nach der Erfindung;
- Figur 2 eine vergrößerte Darstellung des Bereichs II in Figur 1;
