Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for the sectional order of fleet on a moving web of the corresponding to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Such devices which are also referred to as "kiss-roll applicators" find particular use when small amounts of liquor must be applied to the web.
  • the liquor application takes place in that the rotation-driven applicator roll is immersed with a part of its circumference in the liquor contained in a container, by the rotation entrains small amounts of liquor on its surface and so to the leading, with the applicator roll in plant promotes existing web.
  • the amount of liquor applied per area of the web is determined by the rotational speed of the applicator roll. There is a slip between the applicator roll and the web. The higher the rotational speed, the greater the amount of applied liquor per web surface as it moves at a constant speed.
  • a device for coating an endless web of paper, plastic or textile-like material with a substrate is known.
  • a mask is provided at the coating point in the region of a guide roller, which mask consists of a diaphragm and spaced-apart mask bands. In the region of the guide roller, they are partially positively, elastically and sealingly attached to the web to be coated.
  • EP 1 181 986 A1 is a generic device for applying format-wise adhesive jobs on a transfer roller known.
  • adhesive nozzles are arranged at equal axial distances next to the transfer roller, which are directed against the jacket of the transfer roller.
  • the adhesive nozzles are provided with closures which are individually controlled to their respective opening and closure by a controller for producing formate adhesive applications.
  • the invention is therefore the object of developing a generic device for the sectional order of fleet on a moving web such that their functionality is improved in terms of the disadvantages mentioned.
  • the product web also rests on the applicator roll over its entire width, even in the case of sectional application.
  • the aforementioned, alternatively or in combination usable means ensure that only those sections of the application roller fleet lead, in which the web is to receive liquor stripe.
  • the removal means comprise a series of doctor blades extending in the longitudinal direction of the applicator roll, the individual doctor blades being able to be brought into or removed from the work roll of the applicator roll selectively and independently of one another.
  • the doctor blade can be configured in any known manner.
  • the removal means comprise a series of blowing nozzles extending in the longitudinal direction of the applicator roll, wherein the individual blowing nozzles can optionally be acted upon by a gaseous medium.
  • a gaseous medium compressed air will be used in most cases.
  • the alternative or additionally usable application means may comprise a number of application nozzles in a first constructive variant, wherein the application nozzles are selectively and independently acted upon with liquor.
  • This constructive variant has the disadvantage that it is technically relatively expensive, since all nozzles must be individually switched off and switched on.

  • a further preferred embodiment of the application means which operates on the same principle as described above, comprises instead of the110swippen a extending in the longitudinal direction of the applicator roll row of discharge openings, the discharge openings are independently displaceable between two positions such that the fleet in the a position of the application roller is fed and is not supplied in the other position of the request roller.
  • the displaceability of the discharge openings can be realized, for example, by the fact that the discharge opening is formed by the opening of a flexible hose member, which can be either to the application roller or away from this.
  • the applicator means comprise a series of fleet-conveying grid rollers extending in the longitudinal direction of the applicator roll, the grid rollers optionally and independently of one another between a position in which they are in contact with the applicator roll and a position which they are not in contact with the application roller, are relocatable.
  • the application means comprise pelvis, optionally between an operating position in which the applicator roll dives with a part of its circumference in the fleet located in the basin, and a rest position in which the applicator roll does not dive with its scope in the fleet , can be relocated.
  • the application means comprise pelvis, optionally between an operating position in which the applicator roll dives with a part of its circumference in the fleet located in the basin, and a rest position in which the applicator roll does not dive with its scope in the fleet , can be relocated.
  • the pelvis have an inner contour which, viewed from the side, runs concentrically in the operating position to the outer circumference of the application roller.
  • means are also provided with which the level of the basin is kept approximately constant, i. the amount of liquor carried along by the railway is refilled.
  • Such agents are known in the art.
  • the basins preferably at the lateral, i. Parallel to the web direction aligned edges sealing means which abut sealingly in the operating position of the pool at the roll circumference.
  • the edges of the sealing means resting against the applicator roll are preferably covered with a friction-reducing material, such as Teflon, in order to avoid wear traces being created on the circumference of the roll which could reduce the quality of the sectional fleet application.
  • the pelvis are preferably arranged at the free end of a lever of a rocker assembly.
  • the pelvis is brought into its operating position, in which by suitable longitudinal adjuster, for example piston / cylinder units, which can be operated hydraulically or pneumatically, is displaced upwards, until the seal assemblies are in abutment with the circumference of the applicator rolls.
  • suitable longitudinal adjuster for example piston / cylinder units, which can be operated hydraulically or pneumatically
  • a collecting tank is preferably arranged, from which the liquor leaked out of the basins has risen and, particularly preferably, is supplied to a facility for reuse or treatment of the liquor.
  • the basins are preferably arranged so as to be displaceable in the longitudinal direction of the roller in order to be able to record different striped patterns on the web. Furthermore, in order to be able to vary the width of the strips in which the material web is supplied with liquor, in a particularly preferred embodiment, the lateral sealing means of a basin are displaceable relative to one another in the direction of the roll longitudinal axis.

  • a rotary drive device 6 which sets it in the direction of the arrow P in rotation.
  • the device 100 comprises a doctor blade assembly 8, which comprises two blade rows 9, 10 which optionally act at different points of the working circumference 2.
  • Each row of squeegees 9, 10 is divided in the longitudinal direction of the applicator roll 1 into a plurality of individual squeegees, for example, a width of 10 mm.
  • the individual doctor blades can be displaced independently of one another between a position in which liquor 4 entrained by the working volume is shown (shown in solid lines in the drawing) and a position in which a fluid removal is not effected (represented by dashed lines in the drawing).
  • a striped pattern can thus be effected in the described embodiment in a grid of 10 mm.
  • FIG. 2 shows a further variant of a device 200 according to the invention. Only the differences to the device 100 described with reference to FIG. 1 will be described.
  • a fan assembly 11 is provided instead of the doctor blade assembly 8, which comprises a nozzle row extending in the longitudinal direction of the application roller 1.
  • Each row of nozzles can individually be supplied with a pressurized gaseous medium, usually compressed air.
  • the nozzle row is aligned to the scope of work 2 of the applicator roll 1, that under pressure from a nozzle escaping gas on the working circumference 2 of the applicator roll 1 located fleet 4 in the region of the impact of the gas flow from the scope 2 and thus in this area no fleet to the web W arrives.
  • This makes the individual nozzles independent can be applied to one another selectively with pressurized gaseous medium, can be produced with the resolution of the effective area of a nozzle any stripe pattern on the web.
