Definitions

  • the invention is based on a support element for spacing a fuel distributor line of a fuel injection valve used in a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine according to the preamble of the main claim.
  • a fastening device for a fuel injection valve for attachment to a suction tube in which the axial fixation of the fuel injection valve on the fuel distributor line or on a plug-in nipple by a fastener, which is designed as a U-shaped securing clip provided with two resiliently resilient legs is.
  • the securing clip engages in the assembled state by corresponding recesses of the plug-in nipple and can be latched in a recess formed as an annular groove in a connecting piece of the fuel injection valve.
  • the axial clearance between the recesses and the securing clip as well as between the annular groove and the securing clip should be kept small in order to achieve an exact fixation of the fuel injection valve without tension of the seal.
  • a disadvantage of the DE 29 26 490 C2 known fastening device is in particular the bracing effect of the various mounting parts on the fuel injection valve.
  • the power flow generated in the fuel injection valve leads to deformations and thus changes in the stroke of the valve needle to jamming and to a pressure or bending load of the housing parts, which are generally thin-walled and welded together at several points.
  • each fastening measure leads, for example by a support collar to increase the radial extent of the fuel injection valve and thus to an increased space requirement during installation.
  • the WO 00/42315 A discloses a spring clip having a first portion with elongated fingers adapted to span a portion of the valve body and nestable in a receiving portion of a fuel rail shell.
  • the elongated fingers contain a backward curvature and terminate in a bridging section.
  • the curved elongate fingers define finger segments on each side of the backward curvature. The finger segments diverge from the backward curvature towards the bridging portions and converge behind to form generally diamond-shaped spring members.
  • a second portion of generally planar shape having spaced legs engages slots in the injector body.
  • the second portion includes a wall portion that extends substantially perpendicular to the spaced legs and connects the bridging portion.
  • the legs When the injector is mounted in the fuel rail, the legs are received in slots in the injector and the elongated finger segments are compressed between the fuel rail and the injector.
  • the fuel injector is pinched between the legs and fingers with a force acting toward the head of the engine.
  • the support element according to the invention for a fuel injection valve with the characterizing features of the main claim has the advantage that the fuel supply line via the support element according to the invention without radial force on the fuel injector and thus eliminates tension and subsequent damage to the fuel injector and the connection of the fuel rail.
  • the support element ensures both a transfer of the hold-down force of the fuel distribution line to the fuel injection valve as well as a tolerance and offsets compensating flexible fixation.
  • a particular advantage is that the support element can be produced in a simple manner by stamping sheet metal. A production by deep drawing and punching is possible.
  • Punched-in recesses advantageously provide ease of manufacture for a secure fixation of the support element on the fuel injection valve and a simple support of the fuel distribution line.
  • a guide through the cylinder head or projections engaging behind also provide for a support of the radial forces of the support element.
  • tab shapes can be designed in an advantageous manner so that a more or less strong elastic and plastic deformation allows optimized depending on the installation situation support between the fuel rail and fuel injector.
  • Fig. 1A to 1C show schematic partial sections through an embodiment of a fuel injection valve 1, a fuel distributor line 2 and a support member 3 to be mounted therebetween before and after the assembly of said components.
  • a fuel injection valve 1 is designed in the form of a directly injecting fuel injection valve 1, the direct injection of fuel into a combustion chamber of a non-illustrated, in particular mixture-compressing, spark-ignited internal combustion engine in a valve seat of a Cylinder head is used.
  • the valve receptacle can also be provided on a receiving socket of a suction pipe, not shown.
  • the fuel injection valve 1 has at an inlet-side end 4 a plug connection to a receiving socket of a fuel distributor line 2, which is sealed by a seal 5 between the fuel distributor line 2 and a supply pipe 6 of the fuel injection valve 1.
  • the fuel injection valve 1 has an electrical connection 7 for the electrical contacting for actuating the fuel injection valve 1.
  • the support element 3 is provided according to the invention.
  • the support element 3 consists of a clamp 8, which is supported on the one hand on a shoulder 9 of the fuel injection valve 1 and on the other hand on a shoulder 10 of the fuel distribution line 2.
  • the bracket 8 is slotted in the region of the electrical connection 7 of the fuel injection valve 1 in order to facilitate assembly.
  • FIG. 1C It can be seen that the embodiment of an inventively designed support member 3 has a round cross-section. Alternative forms are in the FIGS. 3C and 4 shown.
  • Two tabs 11 are in communication with the bracket 8 and provide a resilient tension of the fuel rail 2 against the fuel injector 1.
  • a detailed illustration of the bracket 8 is the views in the Figs. 3A to 3C, 4 and 5A to 5C as well as the following description.
  • Fig. 2A to 2D show schematic, partially cut-away sections of the in Fig. 1A and 1B shown fuel injection system in the region of the connection piece. 6 of the fuel injection valve 1 and the fuel distribution pipe 2.
  • the Fig. 2A to 2D represent different ways of supporting the radial forces between the support member 3 and the fuel injection valve 1 for approximately running support elements 3.
  • Fig. 2A is a first, simplest embodiment shown, in which the support member 3 by a guide member 12, which may be, for example, the cylinder head is guided so that a radial deflection of the support member 3 by the force exerted by the fuel manifold 2 pressure is not possible.
  • the support member 3 receives an at least partially circumferential groove 13 which, together with a formed on the shoulder 9 of the fuel injector 1 projection 14 by meshing also ensures that the tabs 11 of the support member 3 can not emigrate radially.
  • a non-inventive chamfer of the shoulder 9 of the fuel injector 1 and / or the tabs 11 of the support member 3 lends itself to the radial force-free support on the shoulder 9 of the fuel injector 1 at.
  • Fig. 2C is only the shoulder 9 inclined at an angle ⁇
  • Fig. 2D Both the shoulder 9 of the fuel injection valve 1 and the tabs 11 of the support member 3 are inclined at a preferably equal angle ⁇ . Also by this measure, a migration of the tabs 11 can be prevented under axial force.
  • the support member 3 can be taken unchanged.
  • FIGS. 3A to 3C and 4 represent schematic views and partial sections of the in the Fig. 1 and 2 shown Embodiment of a support member 3 in non-assembled state. Identical components are provided in all figures with matching reference numerals.
  • Fig. 3A shows a side view of the support member 3
  • Fig. 3B a front view
  • Fig. 3C a top view
  • Fig. 4 a top view of an alternative to Fig. 3C to see further embodiment.
  • Fig. 3A shows the support member 3 with the bracket 8 and the tabs 11.
  • the tabs 11 are due to their shape and their approach to the bracket 8 designed so that they can be plastically elastically deformed under axial load and thereby initiate an axial force in the fuel injector 1 ,
  • the clamps 11 are on the shoulder 9 of the fuel injection valve 1 at.
  • Fig. 3B shows a view of the slotted side of the support member 3. In the region of the slit 15 is in the mounted state of the support member 3, the electrical connection 7 of the fuel injection valve. 1
  • FIGS. 3C and 4 In the same view in the outflow direction considered two possible embodiments for the support member 3.
  • the support member 3 In order to prevent the support member 3 radially through the axial force transmission through the fuel rail 2 and thereby to tension of the fuel injector 1 in the cylinder head or bending of the fuel injector 1 and subsequent Malfunction occurs, for example, by jamming the valve needle of the fuel injection valve 1, the support member 3 on the one hand not round, but in a roughly rectangular or square cross-sectional shape, with additional edges 16, which form the conclusion of the clip 8 on both sides of the slits 15, in the direction of the Fuel injection valve 1 are folded radially inward. This ensures that the edges 16 bear against the fuel injector 1 over its entire axial length and thereby prevent slippage of the support element 3.
  • FIG. 5A to 5C another embodiment of a support member 3 is shown.
  • This has annular tabs 11, which are connected to the bracket 8.
  • a recess 17 in the annular lugs 11 ensures a higher elasticity of the tabs 11 and thus for a greater tolerance to axial tension.
  • the edges 16 can as in 3C or 4 be designed.
  • the invention is also applicable to fuel injection valves 1 for injection into the combustion chamber of a self-igniting internal combustion engine.
