Definitions

  • the invention relates to a fuel injection valve with a fastening device for fastening the fuel injection valve according to the preamble of the main claim.
  • DE 29 26 490 C2 discloses a fastening device for a fuel injection valve for attachment to a suction pipe, in which the axial fixation of the fuel injection valve to the fuel rail or to a plug-in nipple by a fastener, which is designed as a U-shaped securing clip which is provided with two radially resilient legs.
  • the securing clip engages in the assembled state by corresponding recesses of the plug-in nipple and can be latched in a recess formed as an annular groove in a connecting piece of the fuel injection valve.
  • the axial clearance between the recesses and the securing clip as well as between the annular groove and the securing clip should be kept small in order to achieve an exact fixation of the fuel injection valve without tension of the seal.
  • a disadvantage of the fastening device known from DE 29 26 490 C2 is in particular the bracing effect of the various mounting parts on the fuel injection valve.
  • the power flow generated in the fuel injection valve leads to deformations and thus changes in the stroke of the valve needle to jamming and to a pressure or bending load of the housing parts, which are generally thin-walled and welded together at several points.
  • each fastening measure leads, for example by a support collar to increase the radial extent of the fuel injection valve and thus to an increased space requirement during installation.
  • a fastening device for fastening a fuel injection valve in a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine which comprises at least one hold-down, which is fixed to an end face of the cylinder head and the fuel injection valve fixed in a receiving bore of the cylinder head.
  • the hold-down device designed in the form of a clamping claw is supported by a bearing section on a flange formed on a downstream end of the fuel injection valve, wherein the fuel injection valve is at least partially enclosed by a fork-like configuration of the hold-down device.
  • the hold-down is shaped so that it is biased in the assembled state in some way.
  • the annular projecting beyond the outer contour of the fuel injection valve flange is flat with a flat support surface, which engages the support portion of the blank holder.
  • the fuel injection valve according to the invention with a fastening device for the fuel injection valve having the characterizing features of the main claim has the advantage that the fuel injection valve at a discharge end has a collar or paragraph attached thereto, on which a flexible hold-down engages which the end of the fuel injection valve in whole or in part includes, whereby the fuel injection valve is held down in the cylinder head.
  • a flexible hold-down engages which the end of the fuel injection valve in whole or in part includes, whereby the fuel injection valve is held down in the cylinder head.
  • axial or bending forces act on the valve housing only at the downstream end.
  • the paragraph is provided in an advantageous manner in the transition to a spherical shape at the downstream end of the fuel injection valve.
  • hold-downs can be produced simply by stamping from sheet metal and are suitable both for individual fuel injection valves and for row arrangements of fuel injection valves.
  • the hold-downs are fixed by screws or clamps in a simple manner on the front side of the cylinder head.
  • a further advantage is that the hold-down is formed in the form of a hold-down pot, which gives the fuel injection valve in the receiving bore of the cylinder head greater stability.
  • Another advantage is the formation of slits and elastic tabs at the end of the hold-down pot, which allow a quick and easy assembly and disassembly of the fuel injector.
  • the fastening device can be installed in almost any receiving bore of a cylinder head and can thus also be used as an adapter for large bore cross-sections.
  • Fig. 1 shows a highly schematic partial section through a first embodiment of an inventively designed fastening device for a fuel injection valve.
  • a fuel injection valve 1 is designed in the form of a directly injecting fuel injection valve 1, which is installed in a cylinder head 2 for the direct injection of fuel into a combustion chamber of a non-illustrated, in particular mixture-compressing spark-ignition internal combustion engine.
  • the fuel injection valve 1 has a connection to a fuel feed line 4 at an inlet end 3.
  • the fuel injection valve 1 has a connection 5 for the electrical contacting for actuating the fuel injection valve 1.
  • a shoulder 7 is formed, which bears against a wall 8 of a receiving bore 9 of the cylinder head 2.
  • the paragraph 7 can be made for example by turning, or it can be fixed by welding a spherical shape at the downstream end 6 of the fuel injection valve 1, which also still a good guide in the receiving bore 9 is achieved.
  • a fastening device 10 is provided according to the invention.
  • the fastening device 10 consists of a hold-down 11, which in the present first embodiment is formed in two parts and abuts the downstream end 6 of the fuel injection valve 1.
  • the hold-down device 11 are punched from sheet metal, for example.
  • the hold-down devices 11 are supported on the shoulder 7 formed at the downstream end 6 of the fuel injection valve 1.
  • the holding-down devices 11 are provided with side parts 16 on an end face 12 of the cylinder head 2 either, as shown on the left in FIG. 1, by means of a screw 13 screwed into the cylinder head 2 or, as shown in FIG. 1 on the right, by means of a likewise on the front side 12 of the cylinder head 2 attached clamping claw 14 attached.
  • the latter is characterized by an easier mountability, as can be dispensed with a hole in the hold-11.
  • hold-down 11 is chosen so that by the fixing of the side parts 16 on the end face 12 of the cylinder head 2, a spring action is created, which presses the fuel injector 1 via the shoulder 7 in the receiving bore 9 in the cylinder head 2.
  • the axial stability of the fuel injection valve 1 is achieved on the one hand by the leadership of the fuel line 4, on the other hand by the partial enclosure of the hold-11 in the region of the downstream end 6 of the fuel injection valve 1.
  • FIGS. 2A and 2B illustrate a schematic plan view of two variants of the fastening device 10 of the fuel injection valve 1 according to the invention. Identical components are provided in all figures with corresponding reference numerals.
  • Fig. 2A illustrates a symmetrical pair of hold-downs 11, which serve to secure a single fuel injector 1, while Fig. 2B of a possible series arrangement of several fuel injectors 1 account, by each adjacent hold-down 11 are made in one piece for ease of attachment and further stabilization ,
  • FIG. 3 shows a schematic plan view of a second exemplary embodiment of a fastening device 10 designed according to the invention for a fuel injection valve 1.
  • the second exemplary embodiment described in FIG. 3 is formed in one piece or in cup shape.
  • a hold-down pot 17 in turn has two side parts 16 with holes 15 for fastening the hold-down pot 17 on the end face 12 of the cylinder head 2.
  • a recess 18 serves to carry out the electrical line, not shown, for actuating the fuel injection valve 1.
  • Such a hold-down pot 17 can be produced, for example, by deep-drawing.
  • At least one slit 19, in the present embodiment of which two are arranged symmetrically at a downstream end 22 of the hold-down pot 17 is provided.
  • Fig. 5 shows a schematic view of the attachment process of a fuel injection valve 1 in the fastening device 10 shown in FIGS. 3 and 4.
  • the fuel injection valve 1 If the fuel injection valve 1 is pressed further against the spring force of the tabs 21 in the hold-down pot 17, they grab the inlet side of the paragraph 7 back to their original shape and are applied to the fuel injector 1. At the same time can be achieved by a brief tightening of the assembled fuel injector 1, that the tabs 21 are supported on the shoulder 7 and fix the fuel injector 1 after mounting fuel injector 1 and hold-down pot 17 in the receiving bore 9 of the cylinder head 2. If the fuel injection valve 1 to be dismantled, it is pulled out of the hold-down pot 17, which is facilitated by a spherical shape of the paragraph 7.
  • the attachment of the hold-down pot 17 can be done as in the first embodiment by means of screws 13 which are guided through the holes 15, or by means of clamping claws 14.
  • the invention is not limited to the illustrated embodiment and, for example, for fuel injection valves 1 for injection into the combustion chamber of a self-igniting internal combustion engine applicable.
