Definitions

  • the invention relates to a lamp device, in particular for a motor vehicle, consisting essentially of a housing covered with a clear, optically inactive cover pane, in which at least one lamp, formed from a lamp with an associated reflector, is arranged.
  • Lighting devices of motor vehicles in particular headlight combinations, increasingly have clear cover panes without an optical function.
  • the light distribution to be generated for the lights located behind the cover plate is realized by appropriate design of the reflectors and the associated lamps. This requires a certain depth, surface structure and symmetry or asymmetry of the components used.

  • the light sources or lamps for example incandescent lamps or gas discharge lamps, can be covered by additional caps.
  • the clear cover disks are now also required due to design specifications.
  • the requirements of the vehicle design also have to take into account the overall visual impression of a lighting device, since it should fit harmoniously into a given vehicle body.
  • a headlight arrangement is known from US Pat. No. 5,010,458, which is covered with a clear lens.

This applies in particular if the reflector is covered with a clear cover plate instead of a lens. In the case of luminaire combinations which have differently colored lamps, for example yellow flashing lights, there is also no uniform appearance.
