Definitions
- the invention relates to a sealing tape for sealing connecting joints between a window frame and a window reveal of a building.
- a sealing tape of this type is known for example from DE 296 105 456 U1.
- the narrow adhesive layer is secured to the back of the window frame while the exposed bottom of the butyl rubber strip is adhered to the interior surface of the window reveal.
- the free area of the textile fleece forms an adhesive layer for the plaster or gypsum mortar.
- a disadvantage of the known sealing strip is that it can not follow thermally induced movements between the window frame and the window reveal, since the layer of textile nonwoven is inelastic. This lack of elasticity can lead to cracks forming in the plaster layer applied to the nonwoven fabric.
- the sealing strip described product information "window flex film inside” the company Illbruck construction products GmbH & Co. KG, Leverkusen
- the aluminum foil is equipped with a releasably fixed movement loop or pleat which serves as a stretch reserve for thermal movements between the window frame and the window reveal.
- the bonding with the window frame and the window reveal is made by Butyl lact on both sides of the sealing strip, which are protected by peel-off films.
- the releasably fixed movement loop restricts the possibility of laying the known sealing strip, since the sealing strip must always be glued to the window frame back so that the movement loop or expansion fold with the frame inner surface is completed. Furthermore, the production of the movement loop or pleats is complicated and expensive.
- the object of the invention is in contrast to provide a sealing strip of the type mentioned above, which can follow movements between the window frame and the window reveal elastic and is easy and cheap to manufacture.
- the invention is based on the consideration to provide as a carrier material for the sealing strip an elastically deformable membrane made of plastic film.
- this membrane is a layer of nonwoven laminated or laminated as a bonding material for plaster or gypsum mortar.
- the fleece in the transverse direction of the sealing strip is elastically stretchable for receiving movements between the window frame and the window reveal.
- the fleece used is not or only slightly stretchable in the longitudinal direction of the sealing strip, so that in the processing of the sealing strip, the fleece has a sufficiently high yield strength.
- the membrane is on both sides with the adhesive material of fleece coated.
- the elastically deformable membrane consists of a diffusion-closed film material.
- the elastically deformable membrane consists of a vapor-permeable sheet material.
- the penetrated into the building from the outside water vapor can thus escape through the sealing tape into the outside environment.
- suitable self-adhesive layers can be provided on one or both nonwoven layers.
- a liquid adhesive for example an acrylate dispersion adhesive, can also be applied during assembly to the intended splices of the window frame and the window reveal.
- the material for the plastic film preferably thermoplastic materials such as polyethylene are used.
- a non-thermoplastic plastic such as polyurethane can be used for the plastic film.
- a material for the nonwoven preferably carded web is used, for which plastics as polyester, polypropylene or polyethylene may preferably be provided.
- the sealing strip according to the invention not only allows a simple, trouble-free sealing between the window frame and the bordering Novabelibung, but also allows the application of plaster or gypsum mortar on the nonwoven layer, without the risk of later formation of cracks due to thermal movements between the window frame and window reveal , Such thermal movements are completely absorbed by the elasticity of the sealing strip according to the invention in the transverse direction.
- the sealing strip according to the invention can be produced simply and inexpensively by laminating a nonwoven layer on one side or on both sides by exposure to heat and pressure or laminating it under application of heat and pressure using adhesive material interposed therebetween ,
- the sealing strip 10 according to the invention shown in cross-section in FIG. 1 has, as a carrier material, an elastically deformable membrane 1 made of plastic film.
- the material for the plastic film preferably thermoplastic materials such as polyethylene are used.
- a non-thermoplastic plastic such as polyurethane can be used for the plastic film.
- the membrane 1 is coated on both sides with layers 2 and 3 of nonwoven fabric in the illustrated embodiment.
- plastics such as polyester, polypropylene or Polyethylene may preferably be provided.
- the lower nonwoven layer 3 carries in the illustrated example in the region of its two outer edges self-adhesive layers 4, 5, which are each protected with a release liner 4a and 5a.
- the membrane 1 For use in the exterior of buildings, the membrane 1 consists of a vapor-permeable film material, which is waterproof at the same time. As a result of the vapor-permeable property of the membrane 1, water vapor, which has penetrated from the outside into the masonry, can escape through the sealing strip 10 to the outside again. It is also essential that the film material of the membrane 1 is waterproof, so that moisture, such as rain or snow, from the outside of the building not through the joint between the window frame and Window reveal can penetrate into the interior of the building.
- the two nonwoven layers 2, 3 are elastically stretchable in the transverse direction of the sealing strip 10, so that they can absorb elastically together with the membrane 1 therebetween movements between the window frame and the window reveal.
- the nonwoven layers 2, 3 are not or only slightly stretchable in the longitudinal direction of the sealing strip 10, so that when the sealing strip 10 is laid, a sufficiently high yield strength is ensured, whereby an overstretching of the membrane 1 lying between the nonwoven layers 2, 3 is reliably avoided .
- the different extensibility of the nonwoven layers 2, 3 in the transverse direction on the one hand and in the longitudinal direction on the other hand result from the special textile structure of the nonwoven material used, for example carded fleece.
- the nonwoven layer 2, 3 at the same time represents an excellent adhesive material for plaster or gypsum mortar, so that after the installation of the sealing strip 10 exposed on the Novabelibung nonwoven layer can be coated with plaster or painted with wall paint.
- the fiberized structure of the nonwoven layers 2, 3 offers both a visual and aesthetic excellent sight, so that in many cases, the application of wall paint is sufficient.
- the self-adhesive layers 4 and 5 which consist for example of butyl rubber or of an acrylate adhesive.
- the peel-off films 4a and 5a are removed immediately before the adhering of the layers 4, 5.
- a liquid adhesive for example an acrylate dispersion adhesive, as it is known under the name "Folienfix" on the adhesive areas of the window frame and the window reveal during the installation of the sealing strip 10.
- the nonwoven layers 2, 3 consist for example of polyester or polypropylene nonwoven.
- used polyester nonwoven has a weight of 40 g / m 2 .
- the sealing tape 10 available as a roll has, for example, a weight of 125 g / m 2 and, with a total width of, for example, 1,500 mm and a total thickness of 0.8 mm, has a roll length of 10 or 50 meters on.
- the sealing tape according to the invention against sunlight and against acids and alkalis, as they are present in rainwater, an extremely high resistance.
- the already UV-resistant film material of the membrane 1 is additionally covered by the opaque nonwoven layers 2, 3 against sunlight and protected.
- the illustrated in Fig. 2 embodiment of the sealing strip 10 according to the invention differs from the embodiment of FIG. 1, first, characterized in that the self-adhesive layers 4 and 5 mutually opposite to the outer edges of both nonwoven layers 2, 3, and are arranged diagonally opposite.
- the sealing tape 10 is provided according to Figure 2 for use in the interior of buildings.
- the membrane 1 of the sealing strip 10 according to Figure 2 therefore consists of a diffusion-closed sheet material.
- water vapor which forms inside the building, for example, during the cooling of the room air, it prevented from entering through the sealing tape 10 into the masonry.
- the properties specified for the embodiment according to FIG. 1 also apply in the same way to the embodiment according to FIG. 2.
- FIGS. 1 and 2 can also be combined with one another, as can be seen from FIG. 3.
- the left-hand sealing strip 10a shown in FIG. 3 is intended for outdoor use and accordingly has a vapor diffusion-open membrane 1.
- the right-hand sealing strip 10b shown in FIG. 3 is intended for the interior and accordingly has a membrane 1 closed to vapor diffusion.
- the two sealing tapes 10a, 10b are interconnected by the adhesive layer 4 of the right-hand sealing tape 10b.
- Figures 4 to 6 show various installation examples for the sealing strip 10 according to the invention on the outside of a building 20 ( Figures 4 and 6) and on the inside of the structure 20 (Fig. 5).
- the outside of the window reveal of the building 20 is shown in FIGS. 4 6 to 20a, while the inner side of the window reveal in FIGS. 4 and 5 is denoted by 20b.
- the only schematically indicated sealing strip 10 is laid between the window frame 30 of the window 40 shown as a hollow profile and the outer side 20a or inner side 20b of the window reveal, so that the connecting joint between the window reveal and window frame moisture-proof to the outside ( Figures 4 and 6) or to the inside
- the tape 10 sticks with its one edge region on the rear side (FIGS. 5 and 6) or on the outside (FIG.
- a plastic foam 60 preferably polyurethane foam is injected into the joint between the window frame 30 and window reveal up to the sealing strip 10 in the laying examples of Figures 4 and 5.
- a plastic foam 60 preferably polyurethane foam is injected into the joint between the window frame 30 and window reveal up to the sealing strip 10 in the laying examples of Figures 4 and 5.
- the sealing strip 10 extends with its lower edge portion over part of the inner side 20b of the sash. This edge region of the sealing strip lies beneath a layer 50 of mortar or gypsum plaster, with which the window frame is plastered in the inner window reveal.
- a layer 50 of mortar or gypsum plaster with which the window frame is plastered in the inner window reveal.
- a layer 100 of mortar plaster is applied on the outside 20a of the window reveal, which covers the leg of the sealing strip 10 glued thereon.
- the nonwoven layers 2 and 3 (FIG. 1) of the sealing strip 10 according to the invention the mortar or gypsum plaster adheres without problem to the laid sealing strip 10.
- the sealing strip 10 extends below a eaves panel 80 on the outer side 20a of the window reveal of a building 20.
- the window frame 30 of the window 40 is supported on its inner side on a window sill 90 which extends to the inner edge of the sealing strip 10 enough.
- the sealing strip 10 For gluing the sealing strip 10 to the window frame 30 and to the outer or inner side 20a, 20b of the window reveal serve in the case of laying examples according to Figures 4 and 5, the self-adhesive layers 2, 3 shown in Figures 1 and 2, the release sheets 3a, 4a be removed immediately before installation.
- the variant of the sealing strip 10 according to FIG. 1 with mutually arranged self-adhesive layers 2, 3 is used.
- the use of self-adhesive layers 2, 3 is not mandatory.
- the sealing tape 10 formed without self-adhesive layers 2, 3 can also be attached to the window frame 30 and the window reveal that immediately before laying a liquid adhesive, such as an acrylate dispersion adhesive, is applied to the splices.
